Ironically, Spencer and Esme are connected for life now that she and Nikolas have Spencer a little brother. Sadly, Marcus’s three years as Nikolas was over and dans weren’t happy. Before his sudden death, Nikolas Cassadine’s original portrayer, Tyler Christopher was rumored as a possible candidate for the role post Marcus’s exit. Unfortunately, his tragic death devastated fans and loved ones.

Let’s just say that Ava handled the news in true fashion. Although surveillance cameras were operating properly inside the gallery, the footage won’t do her justice. Evidently, got captured on the security cameras is more likely to hurt Ava than help her. First, his relationship with his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was rocky ever since Nikolas faked his death. It’s understandable that Spencer felt abandoned, and distances himself from his father. Emotionally, the two were further apart than ever. Spencer was back from boarding school and living at Wyndemere, distance separated father and son.

Nikolas had other problems in his life but they all stemmed from the same issue. It was a vicious cycle back when Spencer and Esme both had it out for Nikolas and Ava. As a result, Spencer’s resentment towards his dad and step mom helped fuel Esme’s agenda. Additionally, Spencer unknowingly fed into Esme’s trap which helped lead Ava and Nikolas astray from each other. It was the straw the broke the camel’s back for Spencer.

Once Esme seduced Nikolas and she became pregnant, time eventually did its job. It was only a matter of time that Spencer found out about how his father Nikolas slept with Esme. At this point Spencer had been betrayed by Nikolas enough. And on top of that, he found out who is girlfriend really was.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) was roped into the middle of it all between Nikolas and Spencer. But Ryan’s fixation on Ava fueled Esme’s entire plot, resulting in Ava’s marriage to Nikolas. According to General Hospital spoilers, Nikolas gets his revenge! The last time that he saw Ava was the night she thought she killed him. Until recently, Ava assumed that he was dead. First Roger brought OLTL’s Manning to GH. Then, he was written off and he has played two other roles on GH following the Llanview legend. While General Hospital fans mourn Austin’s death and Howarth’s departure, hope remains that he returns as someone entirely new.

“Several weeks ago I got a phone call from somebody I’ve known for a very long time who I love very dearly [GH and OLTL Executive Producer Frank Valentini] telling me that when my contract was up at ABC I would not be offered a new contract and that the character of Austin would be killed, and that this was something they both wanted and needed to do to move story,” the iconic daytime television star revealed to Soap Opera Digest. “And it took me a minute to kind of adjust, to kind of hear the news; it took a second for me to let that settle in.

“And then, immediately, I realized how lucky I was to have been able to do something I really love doing for more than a decade with people who I really enjoyed working with,” Howarth continued. “I’m a lucky guy. I had a great run and this was a decision made by people who make these kinds of decisions for a living. For me, I felt it was very much like that scene in Moneyball and Jonah Hill had just told me I’ve been traded. I feel very respected and supported. For a long time, I’ve enjoyed coming to work, learning lines, and saying them with really cool people.”

Although Roger cleared the air and shared the truth behind his GH exit, one thing remains uncertain. Soaps are known for some wild casting shifts.
