General Hospital news has just been confirmed that General Hospital will run out of new episodes as of Thursday, May 21st. After the 21st of May, GH fans can expect to see classic Nurses Ball episodes for the first three weeks of repeats.

The Executives at GH made the decision to spread out the broadcast of new material and incorporated flashbacks within the scenes of the new episodes. Friday episodes have been repeats to further extend the length in which new episodes were aired.

General Hospital Spoilers: Jake Revealed as Jason Morgan at Nurses Ball, and Much More!

In the daytime drama world it is time for May Sweeps, and for General Hospital, that also means it’s time for the annual Nurses Ball. There isn’t a Nurses Ball that goes by that isn’t filled with extreme hilarity, talented singing and dancing from the GH cast, and of course teeth clenching drama.

This year the Nurses Ball will air on Friday, May 1st and go through the beginning of the week of May 4th. GH Blog has previously reported that General Hospital spoilers reveal that Ian Buchanan will be leaving his role on GH as Duke Lavery. Many GH rumors out there have been circulating, claiming that Duke will die in the Jerome/Corinthos mob war that takes place along side the Nurses Ball.

The moment we all have been waiting for is just a few episodes away. Recent General Hospital spoilers revealed in an ABC press release that the BIG Jason Morgan discovery will take place during the Nurses Ball! It will be filled with intense emotion and undoubtedly, MAJOR complication.

If that wasn’t big enough for the 2015 Nurses Ball drama, it has been rumored that Patrick proposes to Sam at the Nurses Ball, and shortly after the proposal, Jake Doe is revealed to be the one and only, husband of Sam Morgan, Jason Morgan!

The wait is finally over, well almost. It seems as though the residents of Port Charles, and most importantly, Sam, will soon know Jake’s true identity. However, we are still a ways away from a Jason and Sam reunion. It won’t be all rainbows and butterflies right now the bat. If the GH rumor is true, and Patrick does propose to Sam just before she discovers her husband is alive, this will obviously be a huge hurtle that JaSam will have to over come.

GH fans have hung in there for quite some time, and with each episode, it is getting closer and closer to the Nurses Ball and the Jason Morgan reveal that everyone has been anticipating. Keep watching General Hospital to stay on top of all the drama and romance of the people of Port Charles.

General Hospital’s 50th Anniversary April 1st!

It’s here! Tomorrow is the day the iconic, American soap opera, General Hospital turns 50! GH first aired on April 1st, 1963. Just about a year ago, the fate of the entire soap opera genre was hanging by a thread. Skeptics and loyal fans alike were uncertain of the fate of this beloved American tradition. In such a short time, General Hospital has proven it is possible to overcome what was the end of a dying genre. As we have seen, the genre isn’t dead. It has just begun.

After the cancellation of ABC’s All My Children and One Life to Live, fans immediately protested and banded together to get their show back on the air. It was obviously a mistake to take these two shows off the air but soon after there was talk of reviving the shows for online viewing. General Hospital was ABC’s last standing soap and the executives and actors knew that they had to do everything they could to keep this show alive. And they did. In one year, we have seen an amazing turn around, complete fan devotion, and dedication from all that are involved in the production of the show. Women and men of all ages have given General Hospital a place in their home. Even when the time slot changed to 2Pm Eastern after decades of airing at 3 PM, fans still remained loyal. I am sure we can accredit a portion of that to the wonderful technology that is DVR.

This is such an exciting time for General Hospital and it’s devoted fans. As a GH fan myself, I want to congratulate everyone who is a part of this amazing production. I also want to thank them for making me fall in love with this show as a young girl. General Hospital has created a bond between myself, my Mother, sister, and friends that I will be able to cherish forever. My Mom passed her love for GH on to me and I in turn am passing it on to my little girl.

Please make sure to tune in tomorrow and all this week as General Hospital celebrates it’s fantastic 50th anniversary and the legendary Nurses Ball. We look forward to the coming surprises they have in store for all of us!
