What is she up to now?! Gladys delivers bad news! It’s gotten to the point where anyone who gives Gladys the time of day ends up facing some adverse effects of her slimy ways. Thankfully, Gladys keeps showing her cards clearly enough for some to figure out what she’ll lay down next.
Port Charles can’t seem to escape her, and anywhere there’s Gladys, there’s bad-ness ????. That being said, those closest to her should watch their backs. According to GH spoilers, someone is at the receiving end of some unpleasantries. And to top it off, Gladys delivers the bad news. Do you know that saying don’t shoot the messenger?” well, do you think someone will bend the rules just this one time? …Just kidding! But really, someone needs to do something about Greedy Gladys.
Sonny protects Ava and keeps secrets from Nina! …When dating Sonny Corinthos, one must accept having close contact with his exes, mainly the mothers of his children. In Nina’s case, she despises one of Sonny’s exes (Carly), was an enemy to and now befriended another (Ava), and maintains a professional relationship with another (Olivia).
Only in soap world would someone kidnap a child, later to become the biological mother’s bestie and the father’s fiancé! Not to mention, the only reason she’s with this man is because she took advantage of his tragic accident. She used his amnesia to her benefit, kept him from his family, and built their romance on lies. Somehow, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has pulled off the impossible. She managed to hold onto the man she betrayed, and is still bffs with Ava after kidnapping their daughter.
General Hospital previews indicate a sizzling hot last half of Summer. As mob drama becomes increasingly prevalent, Nina feels more out of place in Sonny’s life than ever before. As it becomes more dangerous for Ava and Avery, Sonny takes charge and assures Ava that he’s got this covered. GH spoilers tease that Sonny protects Ava and tells Nina lies in his upcoming fight against the enemy. So much for no secrets.
Ava turns on Austin! Ava Jerome (Maura West) isn’t one to be pushed around. That’s why it’s a struggle to believe she’d let Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) corner her. Especially when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). I kind of always knew she wouldn’t follow through with helping kill the father of her child.
General Hospital spoilers tease that Ava turns on Austin. Now that she came clean to Sonny, what’s stopping Ava from completely switching sides? Despite her newfound connection to Austin, Ava’s number one priority is her daughter, Avery Corinthos. Understandably, that makes Sonny a priority. Never in a million years would she have any Sonny dead after how far they’ve come. Besides , she knows how resourceful he is. Additionally, Ava admitted to Sonny that she’s worried about her mother, Delia (Ilene Kristen). Will he help protect her?

…If anyone walked up to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and struck up a conversation they’d probably get an earful about baby Ace. Motherhood and her new job at The Invader pretty much make up Esme’s current identity. Hopefully, everything about her past are long lost memories.
The point is that Esme is a different person now than she was before her jump from the Wyndemere parapet. No one would know how dark her past really is. Not even Esme. Currently, Esme’s doing all she can to live a normal life despite the crimes she’s been told she’s committed. But what if there’s something in Esme’s past that’s so dark, that if she allowed herself to remember, she’d never be the same.
Meanwhile, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) pops back on canvas. GH rumors hint that Heather rattles some cages as her daughter tries to keep her focus through the Cassadine chaos. Recently, Esme had an issue with Alexis publishing a story about her past, which could open the door to a much bigger picture.

Molly’s fertility crisis has been building up for some time. As the storyline develops, Molly’s permanent recast steps in.
Lately the Davis girls have been going through it. Each one of them deals with personal issues in their own way. Most importantly, Sam, Kristina, and Molly can always confide in their mom, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Molly’s current storyline is front and center despite recent cast changes.

This move confused fans as Molly’s storyline happens to be a focal point.
According to GH news and spoilers, Brooke Anne Smith is now the second recast to play Molly since Haley’s arrest. Back in the 1980s, General Hospital introduced Port Charles hotspot, Kelly’s Diner. It was founded by Paddy and Rose Kelly, and by 1984, it was owned by Ruby Anderson. From then on, the Spencer family has carried on the business name.
Currently, the waterfront diner remains one of the most popular grub restaurants stops in Port Charles, and remains a family-owned business. According to General Hospital spoilers, Carly buys Kelly’s from Bobbie for a dollar! In a heartwarming scene, Carly told her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that she is now the proud new owner of Kelly’s!
GH Script Foreshadows Fate
According to General Hospital news, Laura Wright opened up about the her current storyline. Coincidentally, Bobbie’s involvement in Carly’s comeback happens to include a symbolic gesture giving Jackie Zeman’s passing. As GH rumors claimed that Carly and Bobbie’s transaction was written as nod after Jackie’s death, Laura Wright shuts down the rumors.
The iconic leading lady shed some light on Carly’s current storylines, and its relationship to Jackie Zeman’s unexpected death. Laura Wright tells Soap Opera Digest, “This whole beat was written before Jackie passed away. They have not had the character of Bobbie die and Carly doesn’t inherit Kelly’s from the character, which would have been a beautiful thing, but this was a choice made by the writer’s awhile ago.”
It’s comforting to think that the script foreshadows fate. It’s almost like they somehow knew that having a Carly buy Kelly’s from Bobbie would be of greater significance. Keep checking back for updates the developing stories.
Esme’s dark past comes to haunt her!? …Is this really the new and improved Esme Prince? Maybe yes, maybe no. Prior to amnesia, the new mom had a troubled past. Recently, Esme learned who her biological mother is. Her late father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), was a dangerous sociopath. And her mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), well, she has built up quite the reputation over the years. With parents like that, Esme didn’t stand a chance.
General Hospital recaps: Despite her childhood, the crimes she committed, and the people she harmed, Esme’s future has potential. She’s done a total 180° since her hospitalization and the birth of her son Ace. Ironically, Motherhood and amnesia seem to have changed her. But is Esme really a new version of herself?

In fact, it’s possible that she needs everyone to believe she’s a different person because her past is too dark and to face.

Sonny calls Ava out! …Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have never been best friends. In fact, most of their years knowing each other have been civil at best. Despite their long history of mob-style dynamic, Ava and Sonny manage to co-parent their daughter Avery responsibly. At times they seem almost fond of each other.
Over the years, Sonny and Ava have put the past aside (as best as they can). But really, how can Sonny ever put aside what she did to his son Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig)? Exactly. He wouldn’t. However, this is soap opera world and anything is possible. While GH recaps remind us that Ava is actually helping to it against Sonny, we can’t help but miss how that makes sense. I mean, Ava and Sonny have come along way. Even though she’s being threatened, is it really like Ava to aid in her baby’s father’s demise?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that Ava could have a change of heart when it comes to her partnership with Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth). According to recent GH spoilers and previews, Ava can’t hide the fear on her face. Sonny calls Ava out and asks her what the hell is going on.
It seems to be that Sonny has been on his A game lately. His suspicions are high as he observes those around him. GH rumors tease Sonny is onto Gladys, he’s got Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) following Austin, and now he confronts Ava. Back in the day, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) always opened Sonny’s eyes to the deception around him. But this time, he sees it for himself. Geez, why can’t he be this intuitive when it comes to Nina?!
…By now most of the General Hospital audience is aware of the film industry’s current state of affairs. Since May, the WGA has been on strike. Contract negotiations between the WGA and the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producer) are at a standstill. As a result, the GH writing team strikes along with the entire WGA.
Basically, writers aren’t writing without an updated agreement with the AMPTP. It’s as simple as that. Additionally, the arts stick together as the actors support their writing team.
What does this mean for General Hospital, the writers, the actors, and even the fans? Well, the actors film scenes like rapid fire, knocking out multiple scenes/episodes. Early call times and late night dismissals are typical of a soap opera actor. Because of this, there’s an estimated 6 weeks or so of episodes filmed ahead of time. Previous GH spoilers and news reports confirmed that the strike began on May 2nd. During this time, the episodes were still written by GH’s official team. However, they’ve now run out of episodes, and the strike has not been settled.
Due to the ongoing negotiations, General Hospital news and spoilers reveal the GH writing team’s last aired episode. Last week, GH writer, Shannon Peace took to Instagram to make an announcement. Peace revealed that Thursday’s episode was the writing teams last until things are resolved.
GH’s Temporary Writing Team Steps In
According to General Hospital spoilers, there’s about to be some changes in Port Charles. GH writer Shannon Peace made a statement regarding the on-going negotiations and shed some light on the situation. She explained, “My episode that aired Thursday, July 20 was my final until the strike is over. Starting Tuesday, the writing team of GH will be watching alongside fans to see what happens… for the sake of the fans, I hope the show is in capable writing hands. But I have to also acknowledge the pain of knowing that characters we’ve developed, relationships we built and stories we planned are being handled by others. Still, my hope is that if you love GH, you’ll continue to watch. You can morally support the writers AND keep the show the air!”
In addition, Peace penned thoughtful insight and harsh reality regarding the situation. She added, “Daytime writers face a unique conflict during strikes. We hate to see our characters and storylines handed over to ‘writers’ who cross the picket line. But we are also keenly aware that stopping production could spell the demise of the soap operas. Hoping that the AMPTP does the right thing soon, not just for writers, but for the integrity of the storytelling.”
Episodes written by replacement writers begin on Tuesday, July 25th. Peace admits that these storylines may or may not follow the long story course that is provided by the Head Writers. Right now, the direction this is going is anyone’s guess.

Over at the hospital, Sasha’s loved ones stand by as she’s whisked off to Ferncliff. GH recaps recall the eery moments during her departure. According to Dr. Montague, Ferncliff is what’s best for Sasha at this time. He and Gladys might have most people fooled, but not everyone is buying what this quack is selling.
GH spoilers and rumors tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sees through the pain behind Sasha’s eyes. And the look in his eyes show that Sonny knows something isn’t right. It’s only a matter of time before Gladys finally gets what she deserves.
