As a proud fan myself since the mid 1990’s, I feel honored and appreciated at the credit Laura has bestowed upon the fans.
When it comes to taking the risk, and “going there” regarding bold, realistic, raw, and controversial story lines, Laura feels the risk isn’t a threat [because], “those are stories that should be told. So, I don’t find it risky. I find it current and true to humanity. We’re just telling people’s stories. I don’t know if it’s risky to tell the Alzheimer’s story or the transgender story because we are reflecting people in the world today and I think that’s important.”

It’s true that General Hospital is one of only 4 remaining soaps on television, and the only daytime drama left on ABC after the cancellation of All My Children and One Life To Live back in the earlier 2000s. However, Laura has a bright outlook when faced with the question of whether or not she finds the days are numbered for the soap genre. Wright explains, “I think the future of daytime is strong with all the different platforms you can watch the show on. The fans love that they can get us anytime, whether it be on ABC or Hulu.” Thank God for all of that!

She went on to describe Carly. She said,“First of all, thank you. I agree, she is a force of nature. It’s amazing and exhausting to be Carly depending on the day because I’m also Laura and she has her life. It’s really interesting, the difference between playing in Carly’s world and being in Laura’s world. But it’s super fun and I love doing it. One of our writers explained Carly as the woman that everybody wants to be friends with and I was like, oh my God, I love that. It’s so true.”

General Hospital news reports confirmed the death of son of two General Hospital stars. Jack and Kristin Wagner lost their son, Harrison (27), on June 6th.
In his honor, his parents have created a scholarship fund in his memory. As described by the New Life House Recovery Committee, the fund is set to accept donations, helping young men in recovery. “Harrison was a bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in. He has left behind many men and family members who loved him deeply. We are heartbroken that he ultimately lost his battle with addiction and we hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”
Harrison was survived by his two parents, his older brother Peter, and half sister on his paternal side, Kerry.

The actor admitted his son was struggling just as he had in his past. At the time Harrison had gone missing for 5 days when Jack reached out on Twitter. According to Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s explanation, Wagner’s time of death was 5:14 a.m. He was found in a parking lot in the 11200 block of Chandler Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley suburb of North Hollywood. Following an exam, an official cause of death has since been “deferred” pending additional investigation. According to Fox News Digital, the LA Medical Examiner is requesting further investigation after the exam results returned as “deferred.”
All donations to the Harrison Wagner fund will be directly used to help men who can not afford assistance when trying to recover from substance abuse.
