General Hospital Blog Meets The Falconeri Girls!

This weekend, for the first time coming to the Midwest, Jen Lilley (ex-Maxie), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri), and Kelly Sullivan, (Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri), had fan events in Chicago on Saturday and Detroit on Sunday. The ladies talked with fans in a question/answer setting and also open discussion. Lisa and Kelly are equally hilarious, animated, and full of energy. It was such a pleasure being able to meet and talk with them both.

Since Lisa is from Grosse Pointe, Michigan  it was nice to be able to talk with her about things we all knew from growing up in relatively the same area. She is a genuine person and really cares about her fans! Also, her parents were at the event and I was lucky enough to have sat at the same table as her Mom, who is a very nice, and intelligent woman. We engaged in conversation, anything from the old neighborhoods of Detroit, to Michigan weather, and schools. It is obvious that Lisa is hugely supported by her loving family.

Kelly is so great. I love her energy. She is full of laughs and jokes, and seems to be the type who is up for anything. Talking with Kelly one on one was a great experience because I was able to see how much she enjoys her job and how much she appreciates her fans.

The two ladies discussed what it’s like on the set of GH, from learning lines, to rehearsing, to the grueling yet gratifying experience of it all. We learned that Lisa was sought out to be a Brenda recast at first, also auditioned some for the role of Kate, and the writers/producers told her they had something that would be PERFECT for her… Olivia! Kelly revealed that when she auditioned for Kate/Connie she had no real expectation of every getting the role. She said all the other girls auditioning had dark hair and looked the part of an Italian girl from Brooklyn. She even sang a little song we all know, “One of these things is not like the other…” when joking about herself in the mix. When she got the call that the part was hers, she was in shock, happy shock. We are all so glad the the “one that didn’t fit it” got the part! Although both women are fun, full of energy and love to laugh, they also exude professionalism. It seems like such hard work from what they had described, and they do an amazing job.

Overall, my experience with the Lisa and Kelly event was nothing short of fantastic. I would gladly do it again and am excited for another opportunity.

Thank You to elitefanevents.com and to Lisa and Kelly and their team for giving this Mid-west event a go. And thank you Lisa and Kelly for your genuine support of your fans!
