He explained, “I think they’ve done a really great job,” referring to the realism of finding out and coping with such a diagnosis. He continued, ““The writers knew about [Brogan and] Frank [Valentini] wanted to make sure how I felt about it. He wanted me to know that it was somewhat from my own personal experience that they were inspired to tell this story.”
