General Hospital News: Fan Accuses Maurice Benard Of Pressuring Friend And Co-Star, Kelly Monaco, Benard Sets Record Straight

Maurice Benard and Kelly Monaco are not only lob time co-stars, but life long friends. Benard’s character, Sonny Corinthos has played alongside Kelly Monaco’s Sam Morgan for nearly two decades.

Maurice Benard’s podcast, State of Mind, focuses on mental health awareness and has featured many GH co-stars, including, Réal Andrews (Marcus Taggert), Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos), and many more.

General Hospital news reports Benard took to Twitter to ask his friend, Kelly Monaco, in an open invitation, if she would be willing to accompany him on an episode of his podcast, State of Mind. One fan pointed out that Kelly Monaco is very private in nature, and questioned Maurice’s decision to publicly ask Kelly about being involved. The Twitter user, @Rosieb17832659 accused Benard of pressuring Kelly on a public forum.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Benard jumped in to defend himself and explain, followed by Monaco herself coming to her friend Maurice’s defense.
