Over the years, General Hospital has sourced many iconic television couples. Although many pairings spark interest, only the best of the best become one of daytime television’s super couples! When I think of what makes a successful TV pairing, it comes down to raw emotions and natural chemistry. According to General Hospital news, history tells Luke and Laura’s phenomenal love story. Naturally, the couple’s relationship development is made for entertainment and fantasy, and it meant to satisfy every moral expectation. But I’m between all the details was something bigger. After all it is television, and a Soap Opera to boot. That said, practically anything that’s permitted on daytime tv is fair game.

Now back to the cultural influence that soap operas, specially their romantic pairings, have on our society. On November 16th-17th 1981, Luke and Laura’s wedding became and remains the most watched television wedding in history. Since then, couples have come and gone, but a select few now follow in the Spencer’s footsteps.

Personally, my favorite General Hospital super couple is JaSam. Jason Morgan and Sam McCall met in 2003. Since then, no other couple has sucked me in the way that Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco swept me away into their relationship tornado. Coincidentally, General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Kelly Monaco feels the same way as one of GH’s largest fan bases. Not even a classy businessman can steal Sam’s true heart away from her one try love, her endgame. names the love of Sam’s life, Jason Morgan.

Many have come and gone in Sam’s life, including her current boyfriend, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampgrogna). But there’s only one man who Kelly Monaco has named as Sam’s “Endgame.” According to the latest GH news and spoilers, Monaco admits that Jason Morgan is the love of Sam’s life. Kelly’s interview with Soap Opera Digest sparked the debate.

While Sam had been with the cream of the crop, including Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and even Jason’s boss, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Monaco admits that Jason is Sam’s true love.

Then, in 1993 Rena Sofer landed the role of Lois Cerullo from Bensonhurst, on General Hospital. Previously, GH spoilers and rumors speculated about Sofer’s (potential) return after news reports confirmed her Bold and the Beautiful exit. Gladys Corbin is the type of character that makes a significant impact on the audience. Typically, the audience has a love-hate relationship with a particular character because we simply love to hate them. A great performer makes you feel something for their character. So, if you’re left with hate and animosity toward a fictional person, that means they’ve done their job!

As for myself, many times the love to hate vibe turns straight into love for the character. It’s like I don’t even care that someone came to port Charles to torture the family whose daughter needed a kidney. Or, a boarding school brat who was actually a deranged con artist. Thankfully, soap operas love redemption for their characters. Moreover, how about a ruthless, business woman who didn’t hesitate to blackmail and manipulate her own granddaughter.

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) falls into the same category as many of the greats. Nelle (Chloe Lanier), Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), and even Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). As most great tv villains, at some point it comes to an end. And General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that the time is now for Gladys. Yes, her reign as Greedy Gladys is over.

Gladys Says Goodbye To Port Charles

Reportedly, General Hospital news confirms that Bonnie Burroughs leaves General Hospital as Gladys is punished by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). According to GH spoilers, Gladys isn’t getting away with what she did to Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Burroughs opened up about the news, confirming that Gladys was written out of the script. She reflects on how she learned Gladys’s fate, and admits that she’s grateful.

Moreover, Burroughs admitted that Executive Producer Frank Valentini gave her an heads up. He informed her that the end was near prior to receiving the scripts. She admits, “I’m glad I did get that heads-up,” because if I hadn’t, when I got the script for the last episode, it would have hit me harder.”

Sadly, her time as Gladys is over, but that doesn’t mean that the goodbye has to beforever. Gladys should count her lucky stars for getting the royalty treatment from Sonny. Some say he’s gone soft, while others say he did what he could considering that she’s family.

Accordingly to the latest GH casting news, Bonnie Burroughs officially filmed her lays episode as Gladys Corbin. Luckily, the door is left open for Greedy Gladys, Monster-in-law, to someday return.

Over the last few years Nina and Sonny have lived blissfully in their delusions. Sonny, he’s delusional about Nina’s true colors. And she’s oblivious to the fact that she’s not cut out for his life. Nina has lived in her delusion that Sonny will keep “Mike” at his core. But in reality, he’s Sonny through and through. They just aren’t a good fit, it’s as simple a that. Furthermore, General Hospital spoilers tease that Nina’s lies win her a one way ticket out of Port Charles.

Clearly, Harmony loves and cares deeply about the only daughter she’s ever known. Despite how things went down over the years, Harmony feels the need to protect Willow, even from beyond the grave. That’s when she came to her daughter in dream.

It must be so strange for Willow to bring herself to call either of these women her mother. The woman who “raised” jet was the only mother she’d ever known. It’s no secret that Willow and Harmony’s relationship with strained, and downright toxic at times. However, Harmony loved her “daughter” and despite her mom’s actions, Willow loved her too.

GH recaps recall Willow’s waiting room catnap. She dozed off at the hospital and was awakened by a disturbing dream. I’m the dream, her late mother Harmony came to Willow with a warning. Ever since General Hospital’s 9/29/23 episode, GH fans try to master lip reading as they try to decipher what Harmony mouthed to Willow.

GH Spoiler ???? Alert! After watching the clip over and over, I’ve come to believe that I figured out what Harmony said for the most part. “You can’t. You can’t. I’m warning you, Willow, you can’t trust.”

I’m not gonna lie, I was totally creeped out by Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) dream. Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) came to her self appointed daughter in a recent dream. It was only a catnap, but Willows brief slumber brought forth and impactful dream.

Over at the hospital, Willow dreamed of the only mother she’s ever known until Nina. The dream wasn’t pleasant at all. In fact, she was visibly angry in her dream. Even a little frantic. Despite the strange nature of their relationship, Harmony loved Willow very much. Sadly, Harmony died after she was hit by Sasha’s car. It just so happens that Sasha was in the middle of a traumatic episode when Harmony came out of nowhere. That’s when she was struck by Sasha’s car. Unfortunately,, Willow never got to know the reason behind what Harmony did; why she lied about being her mother. But now she carries resentment toward the only woman she has ever called mom until recently.

Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has much to look forward with a bright furrier ahead of her. Her leukemia diagnosis effected the entire Quartermaine family as they struggled to face the news. Meanwhile, Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow were both at odds with each of their parents.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) seems to feel content with her secrets and only reflects on her deceit when she’s at risked of exposure. She can breathe a sigh of relief because the one person (other than Martin Grey) who knows is Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). However, the truth always has a way of coming to light.

During this time, Nina desperately begged Willow to give her a chance. She swore she’d never let her in, but Willow recently started to sing a different tune. Unexpectedly, Willow has started to show a softer side when it comes to her mother. She’s trying to build trust with her mom, but it’s difficult after all that they have been through. Since Willow’s miraculous treatment, even Sonny and Michael are on better terms. That said, it’s possible that these four can get along just fine.
