When it comes to love in the afternoon, often times a juicy love triangle is what sucks fans in. While it’s true that many GH fans want to see at least one couple who is happy and settled, that’s not always possible given the nature of soap operas. If you’re looking for stability odds are it won’t be in a soap opera couple’s relationship.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) arrived in Port Charles with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and an agenda. Their exclusive relationship seemed solid for a while as he’d defend her to his friends. But soon everyone came to find out just who Esme is. And now that she’s yet an even different person(ality) she wants people to get to know her all over again.
According to a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Avery Kristen Pohl reveals Esme’s feelings for Spencer. Ever since suffering amnesia, the young mother has turned a new leaf.
“I think that Esme is trying to have a little bit of a new lease on life,” is what Pohl explained regarding Esme’s new perspective. “She’s much happier and I think she’s trying to accept her scenario for what it is and she’s starting to sort of find some semblance of a routine- and Spencer has become a huge part of that.” The actress continued, “I think a lot of [her view of Spencer] is tied to wanting Ace to be happy and giving him a semblance of stability,” she went on to explain. “But I think Esme also wants some semblance of stability and she can see that within Spencer, but in a very different light than the sort of ‘old’ Esme did.”
Esme Reverts To Old Ways
At first, much skepticism about Esme’s amnesia challenged her authenticity. Was she really a new and improved Esme Prince, or was this known con artist doing what she does best? To answer that question, it looks as though Esme indeed suffered from amnesia as a result of her tragic experience of Wyndemere’s parapet. She truly has a new outlook, but that doesn’t mean the old Esme isn’t down deep inside.
According to GH spoilers, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) shouldn’t get too comfy with Spencer. In fact, Pohl reveals that, “Esme isn’t fully aware of how her actions are going to impact others,” Avery continued, “which may be similar to old Esme in a certain capacity, but I don’t think realizes her little mini crush on Spencer yet.”
Maybe it’s just me but I find that nostalgia has a way of bringing communities together. Like, when you and a life long friend begin to reminisce about the days of old, and reflect on the good times. In doing so we tend to remember certain people and events that bring a sense of comfort to mind.
For me, the same goes for television and music. Almost all of today’s top 40 pop songs contain music samples from the past. So when you hear this fresh sound with a familiar twist, you kinda feel right at home. Well, that’s how it is for me when my faves from the past return.
I started watching General Hospital in the 1990s like many of you. And I can honestly say that this era seems to have left the most permanent mark on GH fans. That said, do you remember the popular character, Karen Wexler, played by Cari Sheen? She was right there in the middle of heated storylines involving strip clubs, drugs, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

It was the age of “The Island,” when Karen, Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton), and Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.) got stranded on an island. Moreover, it was the first jig storyline my pre-teen self really got into. And for that I will always remember and be grateful I beg and watching GH when I did.

According to GH spoilers and rumors, Lois shows up to help deal with Ned/Eddie. However, who says that she thinks Ned should be Ned? Will she help bring Ned back or encourage Eddie to stay true to himself? Besides, GH spoilers tease that Llivia is falling for Eddie… maybe Ned is never coming back!

Oh what a shame, Martin looks so nervous. In my opinion it serves him right for how he treats Lucy. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) may appear to have had a solid, healthy, relationship, but his secrets say otherwise.
Port Charles has become a melting pot for fictional cities from ABC soaps. Like Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) from Pine Valley, Blair Cramer from Llanview is from one of ABC’s since cancelled, sister soaps. Personally, I love that ABC keeps these characters alive. They’ve been a part of our culture for so long, and shouldn’t be forgotten. I believe that General Hospital, (and Port Charles) is the perfect place to bring these names back to life. Meaning, the character and the actors who are most famous for portraying them.
Blair Comes For Martin and Tracy- The Deceptor Belongs to Blair
Previously, GH Blog shared the news with fans that Blair Cramer is Martin’s ex-wife. You know, the one who pays him $50K a month? Yeah, that one. We also predicted that Blair would have something to do with the Deceptor. And boy were we right! According to the latest General Hospital spoilers, DePaiva will share scenes with Jane Elliot as Blair Cramer and Tracy Quartermaine.
Ok, so we know that Blair will share scenes with Tracy. That said, is Blair there to confront Tracy about the Deceptor? Or, are they working together against Lucy Coe? Still, it’s possible that Martin stole the Deceptor idea from Blair, and now she’s in Port Charles to settle the score.
John J. York needs bone marrow donations as he reveals diagnosis! Although saddened by the news, we also have hope that John will make a full recovery. Last week, General Hospital Blog shared John J. York’s message to fans regarding his upcoming GH exit. The soap vet and GH icon took to Twitter to give fans a heads up about his changing status with the 60 year old daytime drama. Unfortunately, he mentioned he’ll be taking a hiatus from his role as Mac Scorpio.
As promised, John shared an update with fans. According to the latest General Hospital news reports, York reveals that a recent diagnosis lead to his GH exit. But despite the news, he assures fans that he will be back. In a shocking revelation, John J. York reveal he’s in need of a bone marrow donation. Nothing is forever… Lexi Ainsworth is open to return! GH star Lexi Ainsworth quickly became a fan favorite in her role as Kristina Corinthos. The beautiful and talented actress joined the 60 year old daytime drama back in 2009, making her name as the iconic mob boss’s daughter. Instantly, Lexi’s onscreen vibe, and her ability to connection naturally with her TV father carried her through the years.
Like father like daughter, and without a doubt, Lexi was a perfect fit. Consequently, it was like second nature for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his daughter Kristina Davis Corinthos to form and develop their father/daughter bond. At certain points, emotions ran high as Kristina fell victim of domestic violence, and even got caught up in a cult. Needless to mention, Lexi won the hearts of GH fans, especially when it comes to Kristina’s emotional scenes and her’s and Sonny’s dynamic.
Sadly, GH news reports previously confirmed that Ainsworth was leaving the show. Earlier this year, Lexi Ainsworth announced her General Hospital exit. Shortly following the news, the role was recast. Essentially, the role was recast, and Kate Mansi has stepped in as the new Kristina Davis Corinthos.
According to GH news, Lexi opened up about her days working in daytime tv. As it turns out, the 30 year old Daytime Emmy winner hasn’t closed the door on coming back to the genre. In fact, she disclosed that she’d recently auditioned for a soap opera outside of General Hospital.

But a lot of people who I loved to work with on GH are on other soaps, like on Y&R, there’s Brytni (Sarpy) and Jason (Thompson, Billy; ex-Patrick, GH) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe; ex-Margaux, GH), who I would love to work with again.”

You know, the kind of guy who didn’t get enough attention from his parents and now everything is about him. Despite all of these red flags, he’s handsome, popular, and did we mention rich?
Second, the new guy in town, Dex Heller is the dangerous kind. Seriously, Portia thinks she has to worry about Spencer being a danger? She should imagine how Joss’s mom feels. It’s doubtful that Carly Corinthos finds any comfort in Josslyn following in her footsteps. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is the spitting image of the men she goes for in her life.
Evidently, Trina and Joss are both involved with “bad boys” in their own right. And just because their boyfriends are frenemies, doesn’t mean they also don’t have a lot in common. According to the latest GH news and spoilers, a shocking twist exposes Dex’s family tree, linking Joss and Trina’s boyfriends for life! It has been months of speculation about his biological father’s identity. But only one will hold that title.

Although Ava left the family mob business, unlike her sister Olivia, she was still as lethal as they come. Ava Jerome killed Connie Falconeri. On top of that she had a major role in Sonny’s son Morgan Corinthos’s (Bryan Craig) death.
Ironically, despite it all Sonny and Ava managed to maintain mutual respect and even cooperation as Avery’s parents. Moreover, Sonny honors Ava’s position in his life as his daughter ms mother.
According to the latest GH news and spoilers Maurice dishes on Maura West and Sonny and Ava. In a recent interview, the 2 time daytime Emmy winner discussed Sonny and Ava’s evolving relationship. It’s no secret that Sonny treated Ava “like dirt,” as Benard described, but he had his obvious reasons. However, the past is the past I supposed. Now, Maurice is happy that Sonny can be there for Ava and their daughter when in need.
