General Hospital airs encore Memorial Day, 2025. The May 23, 2025 cliffhanger Friday episode has General Hospital the edge of their seats. The Nurse’s Ball has been the birthplace for several monumental events. This year, Drew’s drugging, Michael’s dramatic return, and Gio‘s revelation captivated fans.Despite the urgency to see what’s next, GH fans must be patient. Sadly, General Hospital will not air a new episode on Monday, May 26, 2025, and won’t air a continuation from Friday, May 23rd. Instead, ABC will air an encore episode due to the Memorial Day holiday.
Next week on General Hospital, the encore episode will feature the return of Lulu Spencer, originally aired on November 26, 2024. This episode marked Alexa Havins’ debut in the role, as Lulu awakened from a coma after four years. Also in this encore episode, Ava questions Ric, and Lulu wanders around Port Charles.
As Gio and all of his family suffer the fallout from choices made long ago- and now- General Hospital fans eagerly await an all new episode. Unfortunately, we all must wait an extra day due to ABC programming. Reportedly, Regular programming will resume on Tuesday, May 27, with a brand-new episode.
General Hospital airs weekdays at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
General Hospital: Michael Returns With A Vengeance
Michael comes for Drew and Willow! The Nurse’s Ball has never left us empty handed when it comes to life altering revelations and getting someone down to their underwear. Classic Nurse’s Ball mishaps left lasting memories and this year is no different. Actually, GH’s Nurse’s Ball 2025 will most likely become engraved in our memories for years to come.
General Hospital Recaps: The drama in Port Charles seems to be among an all time high lately. So far, Drew (Cameron Mathison) had Tracy (Jane Elliot) arrested, and Lulu (Alexa Havins) got her way. Gio’s paternity was revealed and the outcome was just as horrific as everyone feared.
This week on General Hospital there is still room for one more catastrophe. Earlier this week General Hospital Blog helped spread the news that Michael Corinthos returns, and that Chad Duell will not. Instead, the role of Michael Corinthos has been recast. Reportedly, Rory Gibson makes his GH debut on May 23rd, 2025. According to the latest General Hospital spoilers, Michael appears at the Nurse’s Ball.
Michael Comes For Drew and Willow
Michael’s (Rory Gibson) wife Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and her boyfriend Drew are in attendance- enjoying the event, practically attached at the hip. She stands by her man and trusts him completely. But Willow is going to get a rude awakening when she finds out that her precious Drew is actually very devious. Just wait until Michael tells her the truth, how he never turned her away.
Then, Drew gets exposed for paying off the hospital receptionist. Don’t even get me started with that lady. Lord only knows why she didn’t just tell Drew it was done and then tell Willow what was going on. She totally could’ve pulled it off based on the way things played out. Anyway, Michael Corinthos returns with a vengeance!
The people of Port Charles have had enough of the turmoil caused by Drew. The lies, the schemes, the ruined lives- it all ends now. General Hospital rumors tease that upon his return, Michael comes for Drew and Willow. More importantly, Michael comes for his kids!
General Hospital Recasts Michael Corinthos! Longtime General Hospital fans are forced to adjust to a major transition. For months, Chad Duell’s GH status hung in limbo. It was unclear whether or not Duell’s break from the Daytime Drama would result in a permanent absence.
Reportedly, GH fans wonder no more as role of Michael Corinthos is officially being recast. After nearly 15 years in the role, Chad Duell has exited the series, marking the end of a significant era for the character and the actor alike.
Duell’s portrayal of Michael began in 2010 and quickly became a cornerstone of the show’s younger generation. His nuanced performances and emotional depth earned him both fan loyalty and critical praise. However, after over a decade in the role, Duell chose to step away, sharing that it was time for him to explore new creative opportunities and personal growth beyond the soap opera world.
General Hospital Recasts Michael Corinthos As Rory Gibson Takes Over
GH comings and goings report that a decision was made and a recast has been hired to replace Chad as Michael Corinthos. Taking on the role of Michael Corinthos is actor Rory Gibson, who soap fans may recognize from his previous run on The Young and the Restless. Gibson brings a fresh energy to the part, with early reports describing his take on Michael as grounded, intense, and emotionally layered. He is set to make his on-screen debut on May 23, 2025.
Although an adjustment, General Hospital is no stranger to these transitions. According to GH spoilers, Gibson’s arrival as Michael pulls out all the stops. Reportedly, Michael returns on May 23, 2025. Recent recast news brings about new questions. Such as if the storyline incorporates Michael’s new look, or if that aspect is left alone. Will Michael’s own children recognize him? Take a look at the photo below as Michael (Rory Gibson) kneels down to talk to his son Wiley.
General Hospital: Wiley (Erik and Theo Olson) and Michael- Rory Gibson Debuts as Michael Corinthos
Whether or not you’re ready to embrace it, the change is a done deal. Chad Duell has been a consistent and beloved presence in Port Charles for over a decade. However, with Gibson stepping into the role, viewers can expect a new interpretation of Michael while honoring the character’s core values.
Why give Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) this much power?! Did Drew Breakup Curtis and Portia?
Oh, Curtis. What are we going to do with you? GH fans had high hopes for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) this time around, but it seems as though he has let many of us down. I thought for sure that he would support Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) this time. I get it. I know she lied to him. But in all fairness Curtis already knew the worst part of the entire situation.
Let’s face it, this is more about Curtis than it is about Portia’s lie. Sadly, Curtis didn’t stand by his wife and understand her fears. Instead, he made it about himself when they could turn things around on Drew- together. Curtis is just mad because he feels insecure that his wife didn’t confide in him. Now he’s going to give Drew the satisfaction of breaking up his and Portia’s marriage.
Did Drew Breakup Curtis and Portia?
This week on General Hospital Portia deals with the fallout of keeping Drew’s blackmail a secret. If Curtis doesn’t come around then he and Portia are headed for a bitter end. According to recent General Hospital rumors, Curtis leans on Jordan at a rapidly rising rate. Just the other day he told the same woman who he divorced over “lies” (about her own job btw) that he needed to talk to someone he trusted. He meant her. Sooo he divorced someone he trusts?!
I’m sorry, but Curtis needs to sit down. Portia AND Jordan should fight over Dr. Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Curtis can move on with Auntie Stella (Vernee Watson), and they can adopt a few cats.
General Hospital’s Chad Duell: Will Michael Return?
I don’t have how many more surprises we can take. So far the first leg of the Nurse’s Ball has been nothing short of eventful. From Drew getting his digs in on all of his enemies, and Nina’s @ss-kissing cringe fest, to Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) moment to shine, it’s already been quite a night.
This week on General Hospital, the iconic Nurse’s Ball continues to entertain as planned and unplanned events keep the audience in awe. I’m not sure what can top Tracy’s arrest but GH rumors suggest that this is just the beginning.
According to General Hospital spoilers and previews Drew and Willow look like deer in headlights when a party crasher shocks the room. From the looks of the recent GH previews Sonny (Maurice Benard), Ned (Wally Kurth), Jordan (Tanisha Harper), and Sidwell (Carl Rota), look equally as stunned.
Michael Returns At The Nurses Ball! And Expose Drew?!
What if it’s true and Michael decides to show up at the Nurse’s Ball without warning? Since no one else bothered to call and ask Michael why he turned Willow away when she came to Germany, maybe he’ll clear the air himself!
There are no plans to recast his role at this time, but you never know in daytime. I can promise a great story for Michael and his family when Chad exits in the new year. (2/2)
Reportedly, GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini had left the door open for Chad Duell to return to the role of Michael Corinthos. So, does that mean that Chad will reprise the role of Michael Corinthos? Or will recent GH rumors become reality with a recast? Recent GH rumors suggest that a recast isn’t off the table.
Get ready for GH’s Nurse’s Ball 2025! Congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) had a starring role in the live entertainment that recently shocked Port Charles. It was one wild night alright, but now the kind of night any congressman should partake in. Unfortunately, what Nina thought was rock solid plan turned out to be quite sloppy.
General Hospital spoilers predict that the people of Port Charles are in for another night of free, authentic, and captivating entertainment. The most recent tabloid golden ticket puts all attention on Drew- the Congressman. And let’s just say that the attention come with more harm than good. Currently, everyone in Port Charles believes that Congressman Cain used ketamine recreationally. This led to footage of Drew doing body shots off of an assumed “woman of the night.”
Portia, Nina, and Carly have a lot riding on Drew’s bad press. They continue to use the Drew’s wild display as a crutch despite knowing the truth. They still call to reference his behavior even though it could (and mostly likely will) blow up in their faces. Carly thinks she’s a shoe in for custody of Willow’s kids because of Drew’s new reputation. Portia thought it would eliminate her current problem- Drew himself. And Nina thought that this would have pushed Willow away from him. Instead, she clung tighter. Drew is heightened to the possibility of foul play. He knows that he’s too calculated to sabotage himself. So, that could only mean one thing. Drew was certain he was drugged.
GH Nurse’s Ball 2025
This week on General Hospital, the Nurses Ball kicks off with red carpet glam. Drew declares another wild night, and the people of Port Charles can’t believe their eyes.
General Hospital: Will Lois Drop A Bombshell On Dante?!
Lois tells Dante about Gio?! Two teenage boys just did what typical teenage boys do- sneak off to parties and experiment with alcohol. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) has always displayed a slight rebelliousness about himself. It’s obvious that he’s drawn to danger- just like his father.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is no stranger to danger. Like his father, Danny (Asher Antonzynyn) seems to have that same natural instinct for living life on the edge. The difference is that Jason is a responsible adult, whereas Danny has just started to explore his adventurous side.
General Hospital Recaps: Just in case you missed any of the latest drama in Port Charles, Lois (Rena Sofer) stood by Gio (Gio Mazza) as Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) laid into him about what happened to Rocco (Finn Carr). He even went as far as to say that he blames Gio if anything should happen to his son. Poor Gio; all he did was get roped into down teen drama and help the best way he knew how. He can’t change how he handled the situation- but no one knows how they’ll handle a specific situation until they’re in it.
According to General Hospital spoilers and previews anger gets the best of Rocco’s dad, Dante. Lois can’t stand here and listen to Dante go off on Gio the way he is without chiming in. This time, Lois’s chimes sound a lot more like a parade of sirens going off in the dead of the night. “You don’t know who Gio really is!” She screams. Will she go all the way and tells Dante exactly WHO Gio really is?!
General Hospital: PCU Party Aftermath: Rocco and Danny
Danny finds Rocco unconscious! Will Danny know what to do?! You know what they say, the bigger the kid the bigger the worries. We think when our babies are just babies that the daily parenting woes will ease up without the demands of bottles, diapers, and nap times. But for most, the worries and stress that come with the teen years have us begging for the terrible twos again.
General Hospital spoilers tease Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) face the aftermath of their first college party experience. As GH recaps recall, Danny pressured Rocco into sneaking out to the PCU bonfire party. The boys were already in hot water after Yuri called Dante to tell him about the mess the boys left behind. At that point Dante already seemed on edge and maybe even went a little too hard on them in the verbal sense. Evidently, today is not the day to be testing Dante’s patience. If Dante laid into Danny and Rocco over the messy boathouse, one can only assume that his reaction to this news is going to be through the roof.
Danny Finds Rocco Convulsing and Unconscious
Most importantly, Rocco and Danny put themselves in danger by showing up at a PCU party. The party was very much out of their league. The kids are much older and engaging in adult activities that even the older kids should stay away from. Obviously, high school kids at a college bonfire isn’t typically the best idea. Certainly, Dante, Lulu, and Jason would never have approved of this type of after school entertainment. So of course the two boys did what many great teenagers in history have done- they snuck out of the house in order to cure Danny’s serious case of FOMO.
This week on General Hospital, Danny faces frightening consequences as he finds Rocco unconscious just on the outskirts of the party location. He lies there lifeless in the sand with a solo cup beside him. From the looks of things, Rocco has alcohol poisoning, starts convulsing, and what’s next is anybody’s guess. Will Danny blame himself for Rocco’s current medical crisis?
General Hospital: Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), and Emma (Braedyn Bruner)
Josslyn Tells Emma About Dalton! Josslyn Jacks’s (Eden McCoy) life suddenly took a drastic turn when she accepted Agent Brennan’s offer. It wasn’t an offer she couldn’t refuse by any means- and she had to think it over. Then, after careful consideration, Josslyn decided to move forward with her life-altering new path. And just like that, Josslyn Jacks became an official Agent of the WSB. She’s sworn to secrecy, and not even her mother can know the truth.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) made the terms of the contract crystal clear, informing Joss that she isn’t to tell anyone- not even Carly. Unfortunately, with Joss and Jack both keeping this secret, Carly’s hit with double betrayal. There’s no doubt that Brennan and Josslyn’s secret is going to be a tough one to keep; particularly from Carly. However, General Hospital rumors suggest that Carly won’t be Josslyn’s biggest challenge.
Out Of Options- Josslyn Tells Emma About Dalton
Joss has her work cut out for her regarding her latest mission. Right now, she navigates through her new assignment as an undercover PCU student. The goal is to plant herself close he subject to investigate Professor Dalton. There’s just one thing in the way- Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner).
According to General Hospital spoilers, Josslyn and Emma’s animosity toward one another softens and friendship continues to grow. That’s why it becomes more difficult for Josslyn to keep lying to Emma. GH rumors tease that Dalton also poses a problem for these new friends. Both Joss and Emma will do whatever it takes to land that Summer spot with Professor Dalton. But what type of position are they gunning for anyway? 😲🫢
Josslyn and Emma compete for the Summer position alongside Professor Dalton, but will they compete for his attention in more areas than one? Joss suddenly has the upper hand now that she’s already stolen Emma’s thumb drive. General Hospital previews indicate that Emma turns to Josslyn for help. She returns from her swim to find that her thumb drive is missing, and the eager PCU student wants answers that Joss isn’t prepared to dodge.
General Hospital: Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) at The Savoy
For how long can Joss keep lying to Emma before Emma figures things out on her own? Will she news just one person to consider in? And why not the person she’d otherwise have to lie to in sticky situations? Will Josslyn blow her cover and admit to Emma that she’s an intelligence Agent for the WSB?
General Hospital Spoilers: Will Nina’s Plan Backfire?
Nina Pushes Willow Closer to Drew?! Well, that was quicker than I thought. Honestly, I thought this would drag out forever and Drew wouldn’t know he was drugged. But it looks kind they’re all about to find out what really went down. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had to think outside the box and come up with something drastic- after all, desperate times call for desperate measures.
General Hospital Recaps: Nina went rogue from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and made her first move against Drew, without Carly. Nina’s plot to free Willow from Drew. That’s when Nina teamed up with Dr. Portia Robinson, and then hired Jucinda to set up the Congressman, anticipating his downfall. Jucinda is a professional escort, aka a pro$t!tute, and Nina couldn’t resist. She saw the opportunity to hire Jucinda to make it appear as though Drew had cheated on Willow.
However, Nina took things a step further than simply hiring a woman to flirt and potentially get Drew to cheat. According to General Hospital spoilers, Nina’s plot to drive Willow away from Drew worked seamlessly at first glance. Heck, even at second glance. But sooner rather than later, the plan unfolds.
Nina’s Plan Brings Willow And Drew Closer
Oops! I don’t think what happens next is exactly what Nina hoped for. Things don’t look so good for Willow’s mom- or even for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Even when he’s losing, Drew Cain is winning. General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Nina’s plan to rid Willow of Drew backfires ten fold. First of all, she hired someone to set up the Congressman so that her daughter believes that he cheated on her- ok, fine. That’s a solid plan. And Nina didn’t even expect the professional companion to consummate the business deal. Instead, Nina only needed the appearance of one scandalous night that Willow won’t forget, or forgive walking in on “the morning after.”
