Sam and Carly developed mutual respect over the years, but in 2011 that wasn’t the case. Instead, insults and cat fights were the norm.
Historically, Sam resented Carly for who she was to Jason, while Carly took advantage of her’s and Jason’s relationship. And many times she called upon him even before she reached out to Sonny. GH recaps recall that Jason was rushed to the hospital after he left Sam to go with Carly. Because of this, Sam blamed Carly for what happened to Jason. That’s when their argument turned physical. She launched the business with Dominique (Shell Danielson) and Scotty Baldwin and hired Julia’s sister Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) as the very first ‘Face of Deception.’ According to General Hospital history, when Dominique passed away in 1994, Scotty and Julian left the company, and left Lucy to run things as CEO.
