Today marks the day that Maurice Benard debuted as Port Charles mobster, Sonny Corinthos. On August 13th, 1993, Sonny arrived in Port Charles. He quickly made a name for himself around town, and quite the reputation. General Hospital Blog would like to congratulate Maurice on his 22 year run as one of the most well known television names. Maurice tells fans that he only wanted to sigh a 6 month contract… well we all know how that turned out. 22 years later, we still race to our television sets every Monday though Friday, waiting to see the Port Charles kingpin.
