General Hospital News: Breaking! California Releases Guidelines For Filming Return, GH Shooting Soon!

ABC Network has come up with a plan to get their casts and crews back to work ASAP. However, that isn’t going to come easily. Many precautions and guidelines are being out into place so that individuals may return to they roles as soon as possible.

New Developments

General Hospital news and spoilers had previously revealed that production would not commence until at least August. However, at that time, that’s what was believed to be true due to the California Government’s strict social distancing and stay at home order.
General Hospital cast members such as James Patrick Stuart (Valentine Cassadine) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), tweeted that they would not be back to work until at least August.
General Hospital news can now report that it’s highly possible filming will return sooner than anticipated.

A Plan Of Action

ABC Network is working with the union for actors, along with other filming studios to come up with a safe and cautious way to get people back to work. If California Governor, Gavin Newson, gives the OKAY to resume, the plan of action must start with hiring a Covid-19 Compliance Officer. The plan includes needing a doctor’s note if you are 65 years of age or older, hand washing stations, mask wearing requirements, and cast and crew will be required to carry around hand sanitizer, along with more guidelines.

When Will GH Resume Filming?

General Hospital Executives, along with TPTB over at ABC Network have ironed out what seems to be a solid plan of action to safely return to work. If California Governor, Gavin Newsom, gives the green light, GH could start back up production this month.
This is fantastic and hopeful news for the network, cast and crew, and fans alike. It will be great to see new episodes of General Hospital sooner than originally anticipated.

If you’re as excited as we are, share the news with all your GH fan friends!

General Hospital Poll: Should Someone Water That Moss Bowl While On Hiatus? ?

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) discuss Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)

Some fans love it, others hate it! But we all know that the miss bowl sitting atop Sonny’s counter has made quite an impression on GH fans.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) have recently had a kitchen remodel. It was the talk of the soap fan circuit when General Hospital revealed Sonny and carlys new kitchen… and the main focus was the bowl of moss decor! Even Executive Producer, Frank Valentini weighed in at a fan event. Regarding the moss, Valentini explained, “So when it first showed up, I was like, ‘What is this?! It looks like moss or… like a bad salad.’” he recalled. ” But my production designer, who had done such a beautiful job transforming and creating the kitchen said, ‘No, it’s very chic. It’s what people do.’ And I just let her do it. So it’s kind of taken on a life of its own.

So now the burning question must be asked. And if you don’t know this is 100% a joke, well then we feel sorry for you.
Should someone water this thing while the cast and crew is away on hiatus? Will it last the long hot Summer if California doesn’t open back up until August?

General Hospital News: GH’s Bryan Craig Speaks Out Against Looting, Riots

All across America, peaceful protests are being overlooked due to the violent riots that have broken out in major cities. These riots come after a Minnesota Police Officer held a black man down with his knee as he pleaded for his life. George Floyd died that day, and America wants justice.
In New York, General Hospital’s Bryan Craig has turned to social media to speak out against the violence that is happening in the name of protest. He pleaded with looters to stop. Craig goes on to mention the focus is being shifted from what happened to George Floyd now to the violence of the riots.

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When? Island Edition

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger Cates
General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger Cates

Over the years, General Hospital has made history time and time again with its iconic storylines. Sadly, those creative and legendary stories won’t told for a while as we navigate through Covid-19. Although this won’t be forever, it is still difficult for the cast, crew, and fans alike to wrap our heads around the reality of it all. While we sit and wait for our world as we know it to go back to normal, we can reflect on the fond memories from our favorite Daytime Drama.

As fashion trends and TV show reboots from the 1990s have begun to resurface, one very memorable General Hospital storyline from the 1990s comes to mind. In the early 1990s I got sucked in and swept away. I started watching GH with my mom and sister and the story that was front and center revolved around Jason Quartermaine. Now, he goes by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason, Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), and Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) were stranded on an island and I was hooked!

Romance, drama, and adventure followed these three wherever they went, even on a deserted island! After being shipwrecked, they were stranded on a deserted island, making things very awkward for everyone involved since Jagger and Karen were a couple, Jason was annoyed, and the two men weren’t too keen on each other. This love triangle was secondary to that of Jagger, Karen, and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), but developed as Jason Quartermaine was basically a third wheel when he, Jagger, and Karen were stuck on a deserted island.

General Hospital Recaps: Remember When The Island Jagger

Tension was always thick between Jason and Jagger. Of course, it was all over a girl. Karen Wexler was the girl they both had their eye on. So, in one climatic scene, Jagger walked up as Jason embraced Karen from behind. Naturally, Jagger was angry and jealous, but it wasn’t what it looked liked. Instead, Jason was comforting Karen after the attempted rape. Like always, Jason Morgan has been a savior to women. He is a natural protector, quick thinker, and a fighter for what’s right. Jason Quartermaine never lost that part of himself, even after the car accident with his brother AJ (Sean Kanan), leading him to change his name from Quartermaine to another family name, Morgan.

At some point, Jason and Jagger had to put their pride and differences aside. This was necessary in order to work together to survive. Jagger was the muscle, while Jason was both the brains of the operation. Additionally, it’s apparent that both Jason and Jagger are strong and resourceful. Karen was resourceful in her own right, but definitely played the role of damsel in distress very well.

General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Digs Deeper Into Portia’s Past, Has Reason To Believe She’s Lying

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was taken aback when he saw his ex lover, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) making a home for herself and her daughter, Trina Robinson (Sydney Makayla). Curtis and Portia were romantically involved in the past but that affair was short lived once Curtis found out Portia was a married woman.

Portia was married to Detective Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), and the two have raised their daughter, Trina. Recently their family suffered a tragedy after Taggert was killed on Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) orders. Trina now holds resentment toward Curtis and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) for their part in the entire situation which lead to the death of her father.

Curtis has been up front with Portia in the past, asking her directly if he could be Trina’s father. The timeline of their relationship in correlation with Trina’s age fits into place. But when confronted, Portia assured Curtis that Trina was Taggert’s daughter.

General Hospital spoilers hint that Curtis will discover a clue that will pique his curiosity on the topic, even after he was told by Portia that he was not Trina’s dad. Curtis has a knack for digging up dirt and discovering the truth about people and the parts of their lives they hope to keep hidden. This won’t be any different when it comes to Portia. Curtis is determined to uncover the truth, and this time it’s personal.

General Hospital News: Parry Shen Releases This Week’s GH Lineup

This week marks the first full week that ABC Network will be airing all repeat episodes of General Hospital due to the halt in production and filming of new material. The Covid-19 pandemic has left many areas of our daily lives in disarray, including something as simple as our favorite TV shows.

Previously, General Hospital spoilers and news informed fans that the cast and crew of General Hospital remain on hiatus as they will not return to Prospect Studios for filming until at least after July. In the meantime, General Hospital episodes will be repeats, and the first three weeks will be devoted to classic Nurses Ball episodes. Just as the residents of Port Charles were getting ready for the Nurses Ball 2020, they cast and crew were unable to finish filming and have put the event on hold. It remains uncertain as to where the story will pick back up, if they Nurses Ball will be pushed back to the Fall, or if it will be skipped altogether this year.

General Hospital’s Parry Shen (Brad Cooper) has posted this week’s lineup of classic Nurses Ball episodes that will be aired in place of new episodes.

Thanks Parry!

General Hospital News: Lockdown Has Got Maurice Benard Doing Crazy Things! Hilarious!

I think it’s safe to say most of us are losing it a little bit after being in quarantine for about three months. Stir crazy, bored, over it… those are just a few ways to describe what we are mostly feeling at this time. It’s so important to stay light and keep humor relevant in our lives during these times.
General Hospital’s Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) knows how to let loose, have some fun, and make the best out of a not so ideal situation.
We all have something (or a few somethings) we miss while business remain closed and our daily routines have come to a halt. I’m a recent Instagram post, Benard is shown getting his version of hair services during quarantine ?. Check out the hilarious video below!

General Hospital Spoilers: The Pregnancy No One Saw Coming

General Hospital spoilers revealed there will be an upcoming surprise pregnancy.
The obvious ladies include Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos), due to her sticky situation with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nelle Benson are also suspect it’s having an unplanned pregnancy now that they are both abruptly married.
General Hospital spoilers indicate there is yet another young woman that could be pregnant. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has been in a serious relationship for a good length of time with Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Maxie still remains blind to who Peter really is. Maxie is feeling nauseated and light headed, which are surefire soap opera signs of pregnancy- and nobody saw this coming. A baby for Peter and Maxie would be detrimental. Poor Maxie, she would be having a baby with Peter just to eventually find out he is a fraud, a criminal, a huge disappointment, and actually dangerous.
So much for hoping that Maxie and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will soon see the light about Peter and Maxie being able to make a clean break from him.
A baby for Maxie and Peter isn’t only something no one saw coming. For the most part, this is something no one wants. As a GH fan, are you happy with Maxie having a baby with Peter?
