General Hospital has recently posted a casting call for a woman in her 20’s who has a tendency of getting in trouble. Rumors are circulating that she will be playing a woman who will eventually be revealed to be Franco’s daughter. Back in 2009, Franco ran into Carly at the Christmas tree lot and briefly touched on the topic of him having a child. He even said her name was Lauren, and his wife was a bitch. With this as a possible new story, could Franco resurface to accompany his daughter? Only time will tell what is in store for the people of Port Charles!

Today Twitter discussions circulated around talk of Antonio Sabato Jr. reprising the role of Jagger Cates on General Hospital. Fans have been Tweeting Frank Valentini addressing their excitement on a possible Jagger return. Nothing has been confirmed except Sabato Jr. Tweeted that he met with Valentini in 2012. What do you think? Should the people of Port Charles be graced with Jagger’s presence after all these years?
With the news regarding Prospect Park’s revival of the retired ABC Soap Opera OLTL brings uncertainty to fans in regards to actors Alderson, Howarth, and Easton. Since the ending of OLTL, ABC soap stars Roger Howarth (Todd Manning), Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning), and Michael Easton (John McBain), have found a home on the set of General Hospital, carrying on the legacy of their original OLTL characters to Port Charles. Since OLTL will be making it’s comeback online, there has been word that these three stars will be headed back to OLTL’s Llanview. Check out the full TV Guide article here.
It looks like Maxie got what she wanted – sort of. After she miscarried while carrying Dante and Lulu’s baby, Maxie wanted nothing more than to be pregnant again, so they wouldn’t find out she lost their baby. Maxie went to Dr. Westborn to see if she would implant another one of Lulu’s eggs inside her. When Dr. Britt came back with Maxie’s blood panel results, they both got shocking news. Maxie IS pregnant… but it looks like it’s a Spixie baby. Although I would have loved for Spixie to be in this situation ready, willing, and happily together I would take it any way I can get it. Maxie has a lot to deal with right now. From dealing with Dante and Lulu, to handling rejection from Spinelli AGAIN, to now being pregnant with his baby, the question remains… What should Maxie do next?
This was confirmed back on December 20th that Scott Reeves had been let go from his role as Dr. Steven Webber on General Hospital. I just wanted to send an update since curious fans are still wondering about the status of this actor and his character.

I have been getting a lot of inquiries from fans wondering whether or not Steve Burton will be returning to GH as Jason Morgan. The answer for now is no. Steve Burton who played Jason Quartermaine/Morgan for 21 years on General Hospital has confirmed that he has signed on to The Young and the Restless on CBS. Obviously, things change at any given time in the soap world so there is not a solid answer on whether Steve will ever come back as Jason. For now, he is not. As for a recast of Jason, nothing has been said or confirmed on whether or not the character will eventually be played by another actor. Recently Steve Burton was a guest on The Talk and he explained how Y&R is willing to give him a flexible schedule so that he can keep his family in Tennessee where they choose to reside. This will make it easier for him to get back and forth to his family. I hope this clears up all the fan’s questions and concerns regarding Jason Morgan and Steve Burton’s status with General Hospital.
General Hospital sources have confirmed that GH vet Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) will be returning to General Hospital. The Emmy winner is set to make her on screen debut to reprise her role on February 11th, 2013. This is just in time for General Hospital’s big 50th anniversary this April. It is unknown as to how long Genie will be on as Laura.

I just love this news! The New York post has named General Hospital one of the top 5 shows to watch in 2013. This is great news on so many levels. The fact that a soap opera was chosen at all in this supposed endangered soap opera time leads me to believe that GH is not going anywhere. The genre and/or the show itself may have had it’s struggles in the past, but since the new regime, this show has come back full force and is stronger than ever. There isn’t a social media site you can quiet when it comes to General Hospital. Twitter is loaded with fans and actors alike talking about GH. Facebook has multiple pages dedicated to General Hospital and it’s survival. Among one of those pages is the Facebook page for General Hospital Blog. It’s full of updates, posts, and up to date news on all things General Hospital. Check us out and LIKE us on Facebook! Click here. Congratulations to General Hospital! Happy New Year!
