Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have always had a strange relationship of despising one another, to helping each other out with their schemes. Valentin has come through for Nelle on many occasions, even if it isn’t out of the goodness of his heart. Valentin has helped Nelle when it made sense as being beneficial to himself. Offering to buy Nelle’s shares of ELQ, providing fake passports for her and her son Wiley are examples of how Valentin has come through for Nelle throughout her plot to get out of Pentonville, have some money to her name, and get out of dodge without a trace. Despite the fact that she wasn’t able to get away as planned, the intent to help Nelle was still there.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Valentin Cassadine aren’t fond of one another, mainly because Michael had threatened Valentin back when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was exposed for pretending to be Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) long lost daughter. Valentin was the one behind the entire scheme and Michael made it known to Valentin that he was to have Nina drop the charges against Sasha or he would expose Valentin to his love, Nina. Valentine has good reason to want to stick it to Michael, which is why Nelle and Valentin working together totally makes sense.

Nelle and Brad pulled off the ultimate deception for almost two years, fooling everyone in Port Charles, even those they love. Brad let Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) believe Nelle and Michael’s baby was their adoptive son, after the sudden death of the infant. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) believed baby Wiley was her biological son whom she gave up for adoption to Lucas and Brad. They developed a special bond, and Willow was the only mother figure Wiley had. Even when Wiley was around his biological mother, Nelle, she was always behaving bizarrely, and didn’t really act like a loving mother to her child.
Michael thought he was heeding to Attorney Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) advice when he made the decision to propose to his girlfriend, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to order to provide a stable home for custody. Michael and Sasha were shocked when Diane shut that idea down because of Sasha’s fraud charges.

The fact that Julian knew Sonny’s own grandson was living among his family in Port Charles under an assumed identity is enough to set Sonny off for sure. Julian better watch his back if Brad has a weak moment and gives in to Sonny.
It’s no secret that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) doesn’t have many friends in Port Charles. He destroys every relationship he touches with his schemes and deceptions. Things may start to turn around for Brad when his BFF Britt Westbourne returns to Port Charles! Britt Westbourne has many ties in Port Charles, she has a new half brother, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) since they are both offspring of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). In an recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Kelly Thiebaud explains how GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, how the return of Britt Westbourne came about this time around. Thiebaud tells Soap Opera Digest, “Frank Valentini reached out to me the beginning of this year and mentioned that the writers wanted to bring me back for a bit, I said, ‘Of course I will!
