Originally, Dean planned to temporarily reprise his role as Luke Spencer (the late Anthony Geary) and Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) son, Ethan Lovett. It looks like the original plans were kept. Despite Nathan Dean’s short contract with General Hospital, fans were still shocked to see an Ethan recast.
