Reportedly, General Hospital remains the longest running daytime drama that’s still in production. The culture shaping soap opera has received the most Daytime Emmy award wins for Outstanding Drama Series than any other daytime soap. General Hospital has taken home 18 wins, and behind them by 7 Emmys is The Young and the Restless with 11 Outstanding Drama Series wins.

General Hospital’s 52nd Daytime Emmy Win For Outstanding Drama Series comes with six more victories for the night! The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The event was hosted by Mario Lopez on October 17th, 2025.

According to General Hospital news, reports confirm that ABC’s daytime drama was the big winner of the night – taking home seven Daytime Emmy awards. General Hospital’s seven wins include the top honor, Outstanding Drama Series. In fact, General Hospital has taken home the crown for five consecutive years.

Congratulations to all the General Hospital nominees and winners! This is the second win for The Wonder Years actress, Alley Mills, for her role as Heather Webber. Jonathan Jackson has six wins for the iconic role of Lucky Spencer. Additionally, Nancy Lee Grahn took home her second win for Alexis Davis, totaling three Daytime Emmy wins. GH’s writing, directing, and costume design/styling teams were also recognized and honored with a win.
