Her heavy involvement in the story lines around Port Charles might make it difficult for the most recent General Hospital news.

General Hospital comings and goings reports confirm that Genie Francis will be exiting General Hospital. According to TV Insider, Francis’ exit will be temporary.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Genie is taking a break from the 58 year old daytime drama. In an interview with TV Insider, Genie reflects on her many years with the soap by stating, “I’ve had such a fun time on GH, and I’ve absolutely loved what the writers gave me to work with this season.” She adds, “And, there are some really great storylines planned for the fall – but for now, I’ve decided to take the summer off. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is back in Port Charles and all grown up. His arrival, although meant to be kept on the down low, was a splash. He came into town with a mission to destroy his father, Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) marriage to Ava Jerome (Maura West). He’s trying to play coy, and has pulled the wool over Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) eyes. But not everyone is falling for his act.

General Hospital news reports confirmed the recast of Spencer Cassadine as his character was SORASed. Nicholas Alexander Chavez took over the role from Nicolas Bechtel. Although the character has been recast, the character is being written in the same scheming way, just now grown up.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: Emme Rylan Sets Record Straight On GH Return

General Hospital fans have been mourning Emme Rylan’s exit from GH just as much as her TV mother Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) has been mourning her daughter’s presence.

When General Hospital news reports confirmed that Rylan would be heading OUT at GH, fans rallied for her return. Thankfully, her character Lulu Spencer Falconeri is in a coma with an open door to return.

Previously, General Hospital news and spoilers revealed Rylan and her family were headed back to livin in California after what was meant to be a year long cross country trip for cut short. Fans immediately began the General Hospital rumors, making claims that she would soon be retuning to the daytime drama.

However, breaking GH comings and goings news related to Emma’s return has made things crystal clear.

In a recent Instagram post of Emme Rylan’s, a fan asked about her return. “Hoping one say the news of your return is true,” stated a fan. Another wrote, “So I saw an article that you and GH executives are in talks. Hopefully it’s true.” Rylan then replied, “It’s a rumor. I have not been contacted by GH.”

Sadly for now, Emme Rylan is not expected to return to GH any time soon, and her character won’t be waking up on the very near future. That doesn’t mean she’ll never return. But the timing is not now, and any GH rumors heard about her returning have not been proven to be false.

General Hospital News: Genie Francis Defends Friend After Maurice Benard Clears The Air On Misconstrued Emmy Speech

Last Friday, June 25th, 2021, The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place at 8PM, on CBS.

General Hospital news reports happily announced GH took home some major category wins, including, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Maurice Benard made his fans, family, cast and crew proud when he claimed the award. Just like most winners, Benard accepted the award with an acceptance speech. However, some fans have taken his words and turned them into something they are not.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Benard has had to clear the air regarding the misconstrued content of his speech. After fans claimed he had referred to himself as, “the star of the show,” co-star, Genie Francis discloses she was approached by her dear friend with something to get off his chest.

The people of Port Charles are singing their praises now that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is finally getting what he deserves.

Dr. Britt Wearbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seems to be over the moon at the news of Renault’s trip to Federal prison. She called Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to let him in on the good news, as their work to bring him down is now done.
