General Hospital: Ric (Rick Hearst) and Portia (Brook Kerr)
Drew who?! Ric becomes Portia’s problem now! Is there anyone out there who thinks that Ric Lansing is anything other than a villain? Meaning, does any percentage of the GH audience find Ric Lansing a likable character? Would you ever root for him in a fight against ANYONE? Or feel sorry for him in a sad storyline? Don’t get me wrong, I love the role, and Rick Hearst who portrays Lansing. What I meant is that I highly doubt many GH fans actually LIKE Ric as a person/character living in Port Charles. Instead, most of us are enthralled by his intrigue and subtle creepiness.
Beware!Don’t Underestimate What Ric Is Capable Of
As a GH fan, I think that Ric is interesting, entertaining, and keeps my attention. On the other hand, Ric is a vile, panic-room-harboring, pregnant-woman-kidnapping psychopath. What he did to Carly (and her unborn child, Morgan), and Elizabeth is reprehensible!
Moreover, it’s now decades past the dark times when Ric kidnapped a pregnant Carly. He kept her locked in a secret panic room, and carried out his disturbing acts in the home he shared with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).
Fast forward twenty-two years and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) walks around Port Charles like he’s not the complete psycho path who held his sister in law captive and kept it a secret from the woman he claimed to love. Despite the trauma of finding that panic button and Carly chained to the wall inside the room, Elizabeth takes walks alone in the dark with Ric. She trusts him as they stand together in the dark, on a bridge, with no one around except Alexis. Strangely, even Carly herself overlooks what Ric did to her.

According to recent General Hospital spoilers and previews, Portia (Brook Kerr) continues to battle with her secret. Currently, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) calls the shots while he blackmails Portia. GH recaps recall that Portia took Ava’s advice and reached out to Ric for legal representation. Based on his expertise as an attorney, Ric was unable to deliver Portia a positive outlook on her situation. Unfortunately, Drew has the upper hand and she’s at his mercy. That’s when Ric told Portia straight up that she needs to keep following Drew’s orders if she wants the chance to keep Curtis and her career.
Here’s where things could take a turn… While under Drew’s control Portia must betray Curtis in order to keep her secret safe. According to new GH rumors, Ric sees the lengths Portia will go in order to prevent Curtis from finding out. Ric Lansing is as shady as they come, and he wouldn’t hesitate to use Portia’s problem to his advantage. And before you say that he can’t do that because of client/attorney privilege, ask yourself if ethics had ever stopped Ric from wreaking havoc on someone’s life in the past.
At the end of the day Portia believes that she’s been answering to Drew. But actually, Ric instructed Portia to continue as Drew’s puppet. But, that right there demonstrates how Ric has the final say . Once he realizes the power he has over Elizabeth, what will he do with it?
General Hospital: Sonny, Jason, and Brennan Target Valentin
You better believe that Sonny Wants Valentin Dead!
…So, it’s official. Under all those opaque intentions, Brennan shows which (and whose) side he’s really on. Not to mention where and with whom his heart lies. It’s safe to say that Jack Brennan is one of the good ones. Well, as good as a WSB agent who does whatever is necessary to successfully complete a mission can be.
General Hospital previews reveal a relieving scene. On Wednesday, March 19th, Sonny tells Jason to make sure that Brennan gets the job done. GH recaps recall when Sonny caught Valentin sniffing around Sonny’s new (Valentin’s old) house. The Cassadine fed the monster a bunch of lies, blaming Brennan for everything. Thankfully, Sonny doesn’t buy any of it.

A few months ago, someone planted a bomb in Sonny’s penthouse. Although Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was in the wrong place at the wrong time, the message was meant as a warning. Sonny got the message loud and clear, but who was the messenger?

Surprise, surprise (not really though), Sonny has a new enemy in town. Jenz Sidwell may know how to charm the ladies, but can he charm his way into Sonny’s territory? General Hospital rumors hint that the person responsible for the penthouse fire is most likely the newcomer Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). There’s no doubt that the PCPD will be seeing a lot more of Sidwell. Luckily, his portrayer Carlo Rota gets to share in the behind-the-scenes fun with his wife, actress Nanzeen Contractor.

This makes the likelihood that Cyrus succeeds in killing Kai a heck of a lot less. If Kai dies for February Sweeps, Astrup would have signed a three month contract. Typically, three month acting contracts are unlikely as longer term contracts are common practice. So even if Cyrus tries to kill Kai, that doesn’t mean the young athlete will die.

N’neka gets a promotion, and a new dress! Arlondriah Lenyéa returns as N’neka Garland. Restaurant owners in Port Charles have new competition! This week, Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) held her grand reopening. Charlie’s Pub has been a popular establishment in Port Charles since 2017. However, the pub’s ownership has changed hands a few times over the years.
First, the late Julian Jerome (William deVry) bought the bar from its original owner, Charlie Delaney. After Julian died, his sister Ava Jerome (Maura West) acquired the responsibility. Soon after, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) purchased Charlie’s for Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy). Finally, Sonny handed the Pub over to his daughter Kristina.
Meanwhile, it’s been business as usual at the other Port Charles hangouts. The Metro Court and Bobbie’s are still town favorites. Then there’s the newer place, The Brown Dog, and of course The Savoy. Lately, it seems like the place to be is The Brown Dog. But GH rumors hint that The Savoy gets some attention soon.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Port Charles residents find themselves heading to Curtis’s nightclub in the coming weeks. Apparently, The Savoy needs its most dependable employee. According to GH casting news, the role of N’neka Garland was introduced on February 19th, 2021. actress and professional dancer Arlondriah Lenyéa joined General Hospital’s exemplary cast as The Savoy’s best bartender. Reportedly, the character was named after one of GH’s beloved coordinating producers, N’neka Garland. Later, Garland passed away in 2023 at the age of 49. And her memory lives on in the character, and her portrayer.

Currently, Sonny’s son Michael (Chad Duell) is in critical condition after an enemy audaciously attacked his Penthouse.

Meanwhile, Sonny has recently developed some health concerns. It seems like the nature of the business is taking its toll on the Port Charles mobster. In fact, if he stays in the business then it just might come down to do or die. Apparently, Sonny’s health and the Corinthos family’s recent tragedy foreshadow a new path as organized crime no longer suits Sonny’s lifestyle.
