What we know is that Jack is a high ranking. WSB Agent. Allegedly, he isn’t privy to information on Jason’s location, or even the reason a warrant was issued let alone have the authority to stop the transfer. Why is that? This seems incongruous.

Based on the misalignment between Jack’s position at the WSB and his level of authority, GH rumors speculate that it’s possible Agent Brennan knows exactly where they took Jason.
