Just like your parents, General Hospital fans pick favorites. They know who they love to watch frolic around Port Charles, and can even become territorial over who plays the role. I’ll be honest, I do feel like certain actors are absolutely irreplaceable in their roles. But more often than not, the recast ends up growing on me. But there is no doubt that some actors have made their role so iconic that it’s unimaginable to think of a recast.
For me, one in particular is Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones. Aside from a temporary recast from time to time, Kirsten Storms IS Maxie Jones. Although Storms did not originate the role, she has 20 years under her belt as the vibrant, beautiful, and fin, business-savvy, fashion icon.
Aside from the occasional temp, Maxie is one character who I can’t see anyone play except for Kirsten. So the recent news surrounding Storms’s GH status Earlier this month word that Kirsten was leaving GH hit social media. General Hospital rumors began to fly about the who, the what, the when, and the why. So, Kirsten addressed her GH exit in a video message to fans.

According to recent General Hospital recaps Michael believes that Daisy is in danger due to the nature of his father’s business. At this point, Sonny probably thinks that the disturbances with Daisy are all Sidwell‘s doings. Little do they know, it’s Willow who is using Daisy to spook Sasha.

Sasha’s Leaving… Will Sofia Mattsson Return?!
Without a doubt, General Hospital fans became curious and rumors began to circulate. We can put those rumors to bed now because General Hospital’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, has confirmed Sofia Mattsson’s GH exit. A representative of General Hospital addressed Mattsson‘s exit and said, “There was a good time in the storyline for Sofia to leave to pursue other opportunities in film and TV.” Valentini added, “But she is open for a return in the future.” I love Sofia, she is a great actress and a dear friend. We will miss her, but we wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.”
Reportedly, Sofia Mattsson’s days on the Daytime Emmy winning TV drama have come to an end. Mattsson explains, “I started off thinking it would be just a few episodes on recurring status, so I definitely did not think I’d stay so long. But I will say it’s gone by incredibly quickly. From the start, I’ve seen every day as a challenge and opportunity to grow as an actress, and honestly, that mindset never stopped — I feel like I learned something new every day until the end!”
Sofia joined the cast of General Hospital almost seven years ago, and made her debut as Sasha Gilmore on September 18th, 2018. When the sh!t hits the fan, and Nina and Drew’s s3xual arrangement is exposed, there will be a new perspective on who is to blame for Willow’s downfall. Then, Drew won’t be alone in contempt because Nina will be right there with him- in shackles. It’s almost guaranteed that was one little confession, and Nina‘s daughter wanna have run screaming from Congressman Cain. The thing is that Nina is and always will be selfish.

While it’s understand that she didn’t tell Willow about sleeping with Drew because she’d risk losing her. But I swear that woman can’t think further than her own nose. She didn’t think that if Willow found out down the line it wound be that much worse? And even if Willow never finds out about her mother and Drew sleeping together, all the other chips have already fallen. Willow has already lost her children. And if everyone wants to say that it’s all Drew’s fault, then they shouldn’t bat an eye when someone drops that bombshell.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) couldn’t stand the thought of having Willow angry at her. So she selfishly sat back and let Drew destroy her daughter’s life. She watched as Willow’s world caved in, being her biggest supporter during this hard time. What happens when everyone finds out that Nina has had the power all along to shut this thing down before it got this bad? Before it gets worse… before it breaks Willow?

It’s been one thing after another in Port Charles, especially for the Corinthos family, the fight is far from over. People that essentially know nothing about the business and only see what they want to see when it comes to Sonny Corinthos. And by people I mean Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). That woman was willing to partner up with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in her desperate attempt to drive Sonny out of Port Charles. While still being way off base about, at least others like ADA Justine Turner (Nanzeen Contractor) have a civic responsibility to take interest in taking down Sonny and organized crime.
The latest General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest that Sidwell gives Sonny no choice when it comes to a mob war. Now that he finally sees Sidwell as the threat that he is, Sonny means business. Once again, Sonny must fight for what is his.

Now poor little Wiley and his baby sister Amelia suffer from the toxic family dynamic that Drew and Willow created.

General Hospital: Lucky’s Leaving- Jonathan Jackson Exits General Hospital
Is it true? Lucky’s Leaving General Hospital?! Transient Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) strikes again. His “here today, gone tomorrow,” act draws as much mystery as Houdini. Ever since Lucky arrived in Port Charles all Elizabeth can think about is, will he stay or will he go? Can she trust him? That’s a no. When it comes to Lucky, home is where the adventure is not Elizabeth and their child apparently.
General Hospital shocked fans when Lucky got down on one knee, asked Elizabeth to marry him. Then, she turned him down, and it wasn’t gently. For a few moments, Lucky was convinced that he was a home-bodied family man, and that Liz could anchor him down- not in a bad way. But all it took was for Elizabeth to be honest and understanding with Lucky about who they are. A faster engagement attempt has never been documented. One moment, Lucky had convinced himself that he could be what Elizabeth needs. Quickly, Elizabeth’s words resonated and he announced that he was leaving Port Charles.
Please tell me how one goes so rapidly from one extreme to the next. First, Lucky makes quite convincing promises by proposing marriage and declaring security and stability. Then suddenly that all turned into cold, hard, lies. He couldn’t possibly mean what he said if his mind could change that quickly.
Lucky’s Leaving- Jonathan Jackson Exits General Hospital
According to General Hospital new reports, Lucky’s painful truth leads straight to his and Jonathan Jackson’s GH exit. Jackson returned to General Hospital last summer. Fans had been rooting for lucky and to reconnect, but Elizabeth and Lucky just broke up instead. It’s true, Lucky’s leaving Port Charles yet again, and the love of his life and his son behind.
I have no words for Lucky Spencer at this time. Honestly, I am disappointed in Lucky for how careless he was with Elizabeth. What do you think about the latest Liz and Lucky scenes?
Despite Jack’s sad attempt at gaslighting the former WSB Agent, Anna investigates Dalton! WSB Agent Jack Brennan deserves an award for his impeccable performance. His skills in gaslighting could also stand some recognition. But no matter how good someone is at manipulating and gaslighting another, instinct always wins. Fortunately, Anna doesn’t ignore her instincts when it comes to Emma’s professor.

Coming up on General Hospital, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) dives into her own investigation on Dalton. What we know now is that Professor Dalton is a world renowned physicist who has a shady side. According to Emma, that shady side involves the unethical testing on animals. Anna can’t help to find holes in that story and within the documentation from the WSB.

There were times in the early 2000s and 2010s when GH fans feared an unfavorable fate. Then, when our culture lost ABC’s All My Children and One Life To Live, naturally, General Hospital fans feared the end of its days. Thankfully, reports confirmed that General Hospital pulled in more viewers than the others, saving the soap opera from cancellation.
Here we are 13 years past AMC and OLTL’s untimely end, and General Hospital is still a household name.
