As for myself, many times the love to hate vibe turns straight into love for the character. Reportedly, General Hospital news confirms that Bonnie Burroughs leaves General Hospital as Gladys is punished by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). To say that Gladys and Sasha’s scenes were heartbreaking is a gross understatement. Because not only is this entire storyline heartbreaking, for some it’s truly disturbing. I for one admit that I found it very difficult to continue watching after Gladys called the authorities.
In that moment my heart sank down to my stomach. Presumably, GH fans across the board felt the same sucker punch to the gut.
