General Hospital Spoilers: Johnny Wactor Addresses Fans In Heartfelt Farewell, Leaves Door Open To Return

The loss of Brando Corbin and his portrayer, Johnny Wactor, from ABC’s General Hospital has hit the fan base community hard. The death of Brando came as a shock to many, having many unanswered questions.

General Hospital news reports confirm that Johnny Wactor’s role as Brando has been killed off the longest running soap opera, leaving his onscreen wife Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and mother Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) to pick up the pieces.

Fans have been anxiously waiting on a statement from Wactor regarding the confirmation of his departure. General Hospital spoilers reveal Johnny has taken to social media to speak out, reaching out to the GH fans. Johnny shared a heartfelt message that personally left us at General Hospital Blog in tears. He admits that he has been “blown away” by fan reactions, confessing he had no idea that we the fans cared so much.

Johnny Wactor goes on to praise General Hospital fans for their dedication. He reminds us all that theee is no fan base quite like this one, as GH fans are extremely loyal. He mentions how the shoe sits 252 episodes a years and we all keep coming back for more.

In the soap opera world, nothing is permanent or absolute. It’s true that we watched Brando die before our eyes, there is a body, and it would look as though there’s no way he could ever come back. However, being the loyal General Hospital fans that we are, we know that in soap operas, anything is possible.

GH spoilers reveal Wactor gave fans a shred of hope when thanking us for wishing him well in his future endeavors- whatever they may be. He didn’t leave out the answer to everyone’s burning question when he said that his future endeavors could include him returning to Port Charles someday.

In his video message below, Johnny expresses his genuine gratitude for having been given the opportunity to bring Brando to life and for the loyalty from the fans. He recognizes how blessed he is while making it clear that he will miss everything about playing Brando; from the job itself to the love and support from fans.

We can now only hope and pray that someday the writing on General Hospital will take some twists and turns which would land Johnny Wactor back in Port Charles.
