General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
The year was 1991, and smack in the heart of the Christmas season, Steve Burton debuted as Jason Quartermaine on December, 19th.
General Hospital news reports the 29th anniversary of Burton’s iconic role on the daytime drama, General Hospital. Today his character Jason is well known as Jason Morgan, but a true GH fan can never forget how it all started, as Jason Quartermaine, son of the legendary daytime TV family, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon). Steve played the family’s “golden boy” as he was favored over troubled brother, AJ Quartermaine.
Jason’s character has changed and evolved over the course of these 29 years, and has made quite a mark on the daytime audience.
This man known as a protector, mob enforcer, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right hand man, Carly’s (Laura Wright) best friend, a father, and lover of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)… he is none other than the legendary badass, Jason Morgan.

General Hospital news previously reported the latest soap opera news surrounding the revival of the legendary daytime drama, All My Children.
General Hospital spoilers revealed earlier this year, that GH fan favorite, Bryan Craig, wanted to return to work. He called out General Hospital on social media, making the show aware of his interest in returning. After news broke yesterday that All My Children was in the early development stages of a prime time rival, Bryan Craig replied to a tweet from Variety.
Former AMC stars, Kelly Ripa and husband, Mark Consuelos, are behind the production of this new prime time series that has been named after the AMC town, Pine Valley. Ripa and Consuelos played Hayley Vaughan and Mateo Santos prominently in the 90s.

The internet is full of trolls and haters, and the soap opera “fan base” seems to play a big part in online bullying. So called GH fans, more like haters, apparently have a big problem with knowing how to play nice.
General Hospital news reports a recent Twitter exchange that isn’t so pretty, between one GH fan, William deVry, and Maurice Benard. Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos, chimed in to defend his friend and co-star, William deVry, after a fan tweeted at deVry, commenting on his General Hospital exit.
The tweet read, “I’m glad they fired your speedy scumbag lying ass!,” as it was addressed to General Hospital’s deVry, who has played Julian Jerome for the past seven years.
Well there’s never any need for that. William is a great guy,How can you say that if you haven’t walked in his shoes☮️
There is no excuse for this senseless hatred and negativity. Good on Maurice for stepping up for his friend, William deVry, and shame on the individual who felt it was necessary to be a hater for absolutely no reason.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has finally had enough. He’s been pushed too far, and this time, there is no escape for Julian Jerome (William deVry).
Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are well aware that Julian is the one who planted the bomb at The Floating Rib on Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) order. Julian owed Renault a favor for keeping Ryan Chamberlain quiet. As a result, Sonny lost his cousin, a teenage boy, Dev Corbin (Ashton Arbab), along with almost losing Jason and Danny (Porter Fasullo). His daughter in law Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan) is in a coma fighting for her life. Others have died end many were injured that night as a result of Julian’s actions.
General Hospital spoilers and previews reveal Sonny goes after Julian, and this time, Julian can’t get away with what he’s done without consequences. In the past, Sonny has shown Julian more mercy than he deserves, but Sonny is done playing nice. But Sonny isn’t Julian’s only problem. Cyrus Renault isn’t happy that Julian didn’t complete the job. Jason Morgan is still alive (thankfully) because of Julian’s incompetence when it comes to being a mobster. Jason is supposed to be dead.

She compared Morgan to Taggert (Réal Andrews) because like Trina, Josslyn did not see Morgan die. Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) mentioned Morgan when discussing the dangers of mob life with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). She told Jason she doesn’t want her children to die due to mob danger, like Morgan. Jason brought up Morgan’s death when confiding to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about his recent breakup with Sam.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) had hit rock bottom after a long downward spiral with drug use and her involvement with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But Sasha isn’t one to wallow or let anything keep her down. She’s a fighter she has already bounced back from her overdose. She has a new focus now.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha wants revenge on Cyrus for not only what he has done to contribute to her drug problem which almost killed her, but for all of the others he has hurt along with way.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) is merely a driver for the drug trafficking criminal, but he is truly much more than that. Brando is still working undercover for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) while convincing Cyrus that he can be much more useful than just being his driver.

Brando is already taking a huge risk with his life while working for Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as an inside informant. General Hospital spoilers suggest Brando takes an even bigger risk by helping Sasha deceive Cyrus so that she can turn him over to the PCPD. Sasha’s plan in turn serves as another way to help Sonny, Jason, and Brando gather enough information to take down Cyrus.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) have come a long way in their marriage of convenience. What started out as a legally binding union for the sole purpose of securing the Cassadine fortune.
Flash forward a few months and this unlikely pairing has become the real deal. General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) has fallen for her husband Nikolas, labeling their relationship a “real” marriage. Ava liked the sound of herself saying she loved Nikolas and has confessed her feelings to her husband.
Ava knows much more about Julian’s involvement in the explosion than Nikolas is aware, and she knows she can’t keep that information from him for long without jeopardizing her marriage.
