General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
The Corinthos family is up in arms after the disappearance of Michael’s (Chad Duell) son Wiley. His birth mother, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) blackmailed her husband, Julian Jerome (William DeVry) to break into the Quartermaine mansion and kidnap her son.
Michael, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Carly (Laura Wright), and the rest of their loved ones will stop at nothing to stop Nelle in her tracks and get Wiley back.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest Sonny will take matters into his own hands and use his powerful mobster ways to get the job done. What will that mean for Nelle?
General Hospital rumors claim Sonny will soon find out Nelle didn’t work alone. Julian Jerome (William DeVry) is in hot water after is involvement with Nelle, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), and Wiley. Is there a way for Julian to save himself from Sonny’s wrath?
Julian Jerome (William DeVry) finally came to his senses and realized that having Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on his tail for not one criminal act against his family, but two, won’t bode will for his future as a living, breathing, man. Julian wants to stay alive and the only way to do that is not put his new bride, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) in her place.
Julian needs to face the music with what he has already done as opposed to taking it even further. Julian knows Sonny will put a target on his back once he finds out he knew Wiley was Michael’s son the entire time the baby spent with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).
Now that Julian has come to his sense and turned on Nelle, he has backed her into a corner and is threatening her life at gun point. Wiley’s parents, Michael and Willow Corinthos, (Chad Duell, Katelyn MacMullen) have already discovered their son is gone from his crib. Grandma Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) is now awake and able to try and piece together what happened before she was knocked out. It’s only a matter of time before someone catches up with Nelle and Julian so he needs to make his move- and fast.
The tables have turned and now Nelle is in the hot seat. Julian is in control and he can make her do what he wants, or else. Will Julian take Ava’s (Maura West) advice and shoot to kill? Or will he use his upper hand to make her come clean and let Wiley go? Either way, Nelle most likely won’t be getting away with kidnapping Wiley, and soon everyone will find out what she has done to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane).
Whether she ends up dead or sent to prison, is this the end of the road for Nelle Benson?
The cast and crew of General Hospital make it pretty tobciisu that they are not only co-stars, but real friends off screen as well. They are there to support and pick one another up just like any good, loyal friends would.
Maurice Benard congratulated co- star Chad Duell’s (Michael Corinthos) girlfriend and fellow soap star, Courtney Hope, in her latest career endeavor. The iconic GH star replied to TV Journalist, Michael Fairman’s tweet with positive emojis and words of encouragement. Benard writes, “Go kick butt,” in reply to Hope.
General Hospital news reports Courtney Hope is jointing they cast of CBS Network’s, The Young and the Restless.
GH Blog sends good luck vibes and well wishes to Ms. Hope as she begins her new journey.
Julian Jerome (William DeVry) has found himself in an impossible situation with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Julian regrets ever getting himself entangled in Nelle’s web of craziness. It all began back when he found out she and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) told Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that his and Nelle’s baby had died, when in reality, Nelle gave the baby to Brad and Julian’s son, Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes). They passed him off as Lucas and Brad’s adoptive child so that Lucas wouldn’t find out the child died in Brad’s care.
Fast forward to the Nurses Ball Telethon 2020, Nelle thinks this is the perfect opportunity to make her move and snatch Wiley from the Quartermaine mansion. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) is babysitting her great grandchild when Julian arrives in full on burglar attired. Nelle knows no boundaries when it comes to taking out any obstacle in her way. Monica happens to be the unlucky one who is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Julian gets close to Wiley after using chloroform to make Monica pass out.
General Hospital rumors suggest this all becomes too much for Julian and he will end up selling Nelle out and come clean to Sonny- about everything! He figures, he fears Sonny enough to let himself get blackmailed by Nelle just with the knowledge of Wiley’s initial kidnapping. So what would Sonny do if he found out Julian kidnapped Wiley himself after knowing what he has known all along? Sonny would be even more furious and Julian would be as good as dead. At this point Julian probably feels like he has nothing to lose, so he may as well save Wiley from Nelle and look like the hero. That way Sonny would have to let Julian off the hook for not telling Michael Wiley was his. Hopefully Julian comes to his senses and stops bowing to Nelle’s every demand.
Monica (Leslie Charleson) is a doting grandmother over Michael’s son, Wiley. She is babysitting while he and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) attend and volunteer at the Nurses Ball Telethon 2020.
General Hospital spoilers indicate Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is ready to carryout her plan to kidnap Wiley. She’s been tracking him through Mr. Hopsicle and is ready to sneak into the Quartermaine mansion. General Hospital rumors claim Nelle will make her move and Monica will be her obstacle. Nothing stands in Nelle’s way, even her son’s great grandmother.
Monica better be on her babysitting A game as she and Wiley are in extreme danger. Nelle has that look in her eyes when the verdict was announced that is a clear sign something clicked inside her head and there’s no going back. Her focus is on Wiley and ruining the Quartermaine and Corinthos families. Monica included. Will Nelle hurt Monica to get to Wiley?
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his new wife, Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) are happy as can be as they bask in the glory of family life after gaining full custody of Michael and Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) son, Wiley. The happy couple tucked their sweet boy into bed as great grandma, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) babysits her great grandson while Michael and Willow attend the Nurses Ball 2020 Telethon.
Carly, Sonny (Maurice Benard), and everyone close to Michael and Willow are ecstatic at the good news given by the court. But Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) always sniffs our trouble. Carly knows that Nelle won’t just walk away quietly after the verdict confirms she loses her son entirely. Nelle doesn’t even have rights to visitation which has set her over the edge. Nelle has placed a tracker inside Wiley’s favorite toy, Mr. Hopsicle and has been watching his whereabouts ever since.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nelle plans to kidnap Wiley with fake identities. Carly has already expressed out loud her suspicion that Nelle isn’t finished with her family. General Hospital rumors hint while Michael and Willow are volunteering at the Nurses Ball Telethon, Nelle will use that distraction to make her move to snatch Wiley and take off. When Michael and Willow are warned of the situation their happiness is shattered as they are devastated and shaken at the thought of losing Wiley to Nelle yet again.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that Nelle will definitely proceed with her plan to run off with her son, but Carly is on her tail. Carly is hosting the Nurses Ball Red Carpet and her mind is with her duties. But that doesn’t mean she won’t spring into action. Carly already has a feeling Nelle is going to try something big- let’s just hope she gets to Nelle in time before she is able to get to the Quartermaine’s where Wiley and Monica are spending a quiet evening.
Kelly Monaco originated the role of Samantha McCall back in October of 2003. The feisty, badass, con artist, fighter, has come along way from her days of conning and scheming. She has found a place and made a life with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and their families. Sam eventually discovered Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was her mother, and down the road it was learned that Julian Jerome (William DeVry) is her father. Sam and Jason have built a life together with their close friends, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his wife Carly (Laura Wright).
Kelly Monaco’s talent is extremely versatile as she is able to express her emotions and play many different facets of Sam. Before General Hospital, Monaco was already a part of the ABC Network and GH clan as she played Livvie Locke on the GH spin-off, Port Charles, where she played alongside co-star Michael Easton (Caleb Morley PC, Hamilton Finn GH).
Kelly recently took a temporary break from General Hospital as the show resumed filming after the Covid-19 pandemic hiatus. Kelly is now back on screen and fans have welcomed her back with open arms.
Kelly Monaco took to social media to express her gratitude for the supportive fans. Monaco says “Thank You” to the fans for the love and support the past couple of weeks and expresses her love for what she does while being with ABCNetwork for 20+ years.
Kelly Monaco has always been a personal favorite of mine. From the moment she debuted as Sam McCall, I was hooked. Her beauty and talent speak for itself and we as fans are extremely grateful to have her as such an important component to our favorite show. ❤️
The time has come as we have waiting an extra four months to see this year’s annual Nurses Ball event on General Hospital.
Every year disaster strikes as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) scurries around, trying to save the day. Some things just can’t be salvaged when what happens is so shocking you freeze in your tracks.
Check out the new GH promo for this year’s Nurses Ball event!
Previously General Hospital Blog reported the GH news regarding the status of Kelly Monaco’s temporary replacement. GH news confirmed Lindsay Hartley is done taping on the set of General Hospital as her run as Sam McCall has come to an end.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Kelly Monaco is back taping at Prospect Studios and will resume her role as Sam McCall, alongside Daytime’s finest, Steve Burton, Maurice Benard, Laura Wright, and more.
Kelly will debut as Sam for the first time since quarantine on Tuesday, August 18th.
Jason and Sam have had their ups and downs and currently going through major crises. For starters, Sam and Jason has been ordered to stay apart due to Sam’s parole, but she recently made a deal with the devil, aka, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in order to be able to be free to be with Jason when she thought he could be dying. Furthermore, this couple is now facing family troubles as Sam’s decision will adversely affect Jason’s family, the Quartermaines. To top it all off, Jason is dealing with the newest Poet Charles bad guy, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Renault is the one who put a hit out on Jason and now once he finds out his mission was incomplete, anything goes in regard to how Cyrus will react to the bad news.
Kelly Monaco has her work cut out for her as Sam is front and center. Kelly Monaco always knows how to bring it and we appreciate her hard work and dedication.
Welcome back, Kelly! We are so excited to see you on screen.
Dante Falconeri strife in Port Charles with an concedes identity as he didn’t want it know that he was mobster, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) son.
General Hospital news reveals Dominic Zamprogna left his role as Dante Falconeri in 2018 by choice. Zamprogna was not feeling confident in his work and questioned his presence there since it was al he had known. Zamprogna explains that he arrived in LA already hired as Dante Falconeri, son of Sonny Corinthos and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero).
In an interview with Soaps In Depth, Zamprogna discloses that just decision to leave GH in 2018 has much to do with opportunity, (or lack there of). He had felt very busy and his tone was consumed with filming at GH, which gave him no time to explore other opportunities. He said, “I came down to L.A. with that job,” he said of his GH gig. “I knew nobody. I knew no casting directors, nothing.” Dominic Zamprogna also disclosed at at some point he wasn’t feeling confident in his own work- and that he felt he was feeling stressed when performing his scenes. He went on to reveal, “I went from going up on that stage and having a great time to going up on that stage and stressing out and just not feeling like I was doing good work. That’s the other reason why I wanted to step back. I felt like I needed to clear my head. The whole thing that I realized when I left is, ‘Do I really want to act?’ It affected me so much.”
Fast forward to August 2020 and here we have something good come out of this crazy year! Dominic Zamprogna has graced us with his on screen presence as he has returned to General Hospital as Dante Falconeri.
Genera Hospital spoilers and rumors indicated there is much to come to light regarding where Dante has been and where his character will be in terms of his personal work health, his family life, and his career. Dante and Lulu are currently divorced but that doesn’t mean their love story is over. General Hospital rumors hint there will be an emotional reunion between Dante and Lulu, full of love, happiness, anger, sadness, and more. Not to mention, Lulu has moved on with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and Dante’s old family friend, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane, Amanda Setton), is back on Port Charles.
Will Lulu find herself back in Dante’s arms when he finally comes home to his family?
