General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) is a name in Daytime TV that’s impossible to forget. And when we think of Brenda, we think of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny has been a key player in Port Charles for about three decades and is still today one of the main reasons GH fans tune in.
General Hospital Blog has previously reported that Maurice Benard spoke out regarding his friend and co-star, and mentioned that bringing Vanessa back was Brenda is a “no brainer.”
Sonny and Brenda had a love for the ages and their iconic story lives on within the memories of the fans. According to new General Hospital news and spoilers, Brenda Barrett could no longer be just a memory.
General Hospital news reveals in a recent tweet reply to a Genera Hospital fan, Marcil seems to have put that person in their place. The fan tweets, “I love Maurice… never was a fan of Brenda. I was glad to see her go.” Then Vanessa Marcil herself replied to the tweet by commenting, “I’ve got some bad news for ya ?.” General Hospital rumors may become reality, as this comment from Marcil seems to indicate a definite return to GH for the actress.
Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) seems to always have something up her sleeve. And when whatever she’s planning going her way, Nelle springs into action, going after what her sights are set on, no matter who she hurts along the way. Nelle had exhausted all of her options when trying to up her game to win custody of the son she has with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Even trying to one up Michael and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), after their sudden nuptials, Nelle married Julian Jerome (William DeVry), thinking it would have a positive effect on her chances at gaining custody.
General Hospital spoilers indicate Nelle’s plan to marry Julian will fall flat after Wiley’s grandfather, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), threatened Julian and told him to ditch Nelle. Will Julian oblige?
Nelle doesn’t care who she hurts as long as she gets what she wants. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been chosen by Nelle as her next victim to manipulate and deceive. Nina is Nelle’s boss and since she has a long lost daughter out there, Nina is vulnerable to Nelle and her situation. Nelle knows exactly what she’s doing and won’t pass up the opportunity to get Nina on her side. But will she stop there?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that Nina will soon start to believe that Nelle is her long lost daughter. Because of the half heart shape necklace Nelle is clutching onto in court, Nina will have solid reason to believe in their connection. Will Nelle find out about Nina having the other half and use it to her advantage? That could be a yes but it could also be a no. GH rumors imply things will fall right into Nelle’s lap and Nina will discover the necklace in her own and her thoughts and emotions will run wild.
Nina is already saying pair I’ve things about Nelle as she already told the court she is hard working and hired her because she felt she deserved a second chance. If looks could kill on that courtroom…
Will Nina’s emotions get the best of her and ruin Michael and Willow’s chances of giving Wiley a happy home?
General Hospital episodes will be all new coming Monday, August 3rd. After nearly four months of hiatus, the cast and crew of GH are back on set, filming story lines from where they had left off.
General Hospital spoilers previously revealed Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will meet with drug trafficker, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). It’s unknown whether Brando has ties with Cyrus, but things will be more clear after this episodes that will air this upcoming week. Brando has a past with drugs and General Hospital rumors claim Brando is mixed up with Cyrus because of his past history with drug addiction. In other GH rumors, there have been hints that Brando is working under cover to take down Cyrus and his drug ring in Port Charles.
New General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) will meet with Brando, after Brando meets with Cyrus this week. GH rumors claim Sonny wants answers from Brando. Odds are Sonny will want to know what he and Cyrus could possibly have reason to meet.
Will Brando prove trustworthy to Sonny or will Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) instincts be right about Brando?
As just announced yesterday, General Hospital’s Dominic Zamprogna will be returning to GH to reprise his role as Dante Falconeri. Dante, son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), and estranged husband of Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan), will be returning to Port Charles after being away for mental health reasons.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that things won’t go smoothly for the iconic Daytime TV couple Dante and Lulu, right off the bat. Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) is currently romantically involved with Lulu, however, he and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) have a history. It’s hard to say what type of emotions will be coming from Lulu and Dante individually as well as parents. Lulu may feel abandoned and let Dante know she has moved on with Dustin. She could also be the one wanting to reconnect but Dante May be hesitant. Brook Lynn and Dustin fit in as they both have history with Dante and Lulu. Brook Lynn and Dante go way back to their old neighborhood. Could Dante and Brook Lynn’s history bring them closer?
General Hospital rumors claim Dante and Lulu will want to work on becoming a family again, leaving Dustin in the dust. This makes perfect opportunity for Brook Lynn to come swooping in, claiming her “Dusty.”
General Hospital Star, Maurice Benard, who plays Port Charles most lovable monster, Sonny Corinthos.
Benard likes to keep GH fans engaged by interacting frequently with fans on social media. In a recent Instagram post, Maurice Benard took a trip down memory lane. Benard shared his post on Twitter. Benard asked fans if they ever have reflected on last fashion choices and now regret.
Let me ask you a question? Have you ever put on a shirt when you were young, and thought it was the bomb,Then 20 years later you say to yourself-What the hell was I thinking!!!(see-through shirt)My goodness.… https://t.co/hrbeEIwUBg
Last week the cast and crew of General Hospital went back to work on July 22nd. General Hospital news reveals new episodes will air on August 3rd.
In a social media conversation, Gail discloses that he must be vague in regard to upcoming story lines for obvious reasons. Take a look at the photo below.
GH actor Max Gail confirms on social media that his character Mike will be on screen early on in the upcoming new episodes.
General Hospital news reports Max Gail uses a Facebook post to shoot down any rumors that Sonny will discover some miracle cure for Alzheimer’s and all will be well. Below is a photo of his Facebook post explaining why the writers will not go down that path.
Look for Mike and Sonny Corinthos (Max Gail) to share some heart wrenching scenes as the emotional story comes to a close.
General Hospital returns with a bang with brand new episodes airing August 3rd.
General Hospital news reveals that story lines will pick up where they left off, before GH ran out of new episodes to air back on May 22nd.
Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) thought she was a step ahead of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his new bride, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), when she showed up to the courthouse married to Julian Jerome (William DeVry).
New General Hospital spoilers for the week of August 3rd indicate Nelle will be shaken. GH rumors claim odds are Nelle’s plan to marry a mobster (Julian) will backfire and not give Nelle the outcome for which she was hoping.
Before the hiatus, in one of the last episodes, mob boss and Grandfather to Wiley, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), warned Julian to drop Nelle and this sham of a marriage like a hot potato. Julian knows that Nelle will tell all of she doesn’t do what he says, but he also doesn’t want to feel the wrath of Sonny.
Will Julian blow Nelle’s plan into pieces To save himself from Sonny? If he does, he will be risking his son Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) finding out about his involvement with the entire Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), Lucas, and Wiley, situation. Is that a risk Julian will be willing to take?
Kanye West has been front and center in the limelight recently as he announced he is running for President of the United States. Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian are well known around the world for their contributions to the music, cosmetic, and fashion industries.
Maurice Benard, who plays the legendary mob boss, Sonny Corinthos, on General Hospital, has been open about his struggles and victories with bipolar disorder throughout the years. Maurice has been an essential advocate for those who suffer from mental illness and has given hope to many.
General Hospital news reveals Maurice Benard has reached out to rapper, husband, and father, Kanye West, after watching a video that struck a chord with Benard.
In a tweet to the iconic and controversial rapper, Benard reached out, letting West know he too struggles with bipolar disorder and hopes he finds his way.
As I saw a video of @kanyewest it really saddened me, I don’t know the details,I have a gut feeling. From one Bipolar to another Bipolar, I truly hope you find your way☮️
It’s been a long time coming, but as for now, the time has finally arrived. The cast and crew of General Hospital is set to return to Prospect Studios to resume filming for the 57 year old Daytime Drama. Tomorrow, July 20th, is the date that has been set for the film industry in LA County.
It doesn’t look like GH’s Steve Burton has the “Sunday Scaries” as he prepares to return to work after months of being home in quarantine with his family. In his latest Instagram post, Burton is featured in full on workout mode as he is posed shirtless and in front of fitness equipment. His caption reads, “Working. Always more work to do! But ready to get back to WORK WORK @generalhospitalabc.”
Steve Burton is ready to play his role as Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) right hand man, Jason Morgan. Excitement, drama, and adventure will be headed our way as they pick up where they had left off, building off of current story lines and creating more for fans to dive into.
General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated on any latest news regarding the restart of film as well as when new episodes are due to air.
In the 1990’s Julia Barrett founded Port Charles’s own cosmetics company, Deception. She launched the business with Dominique (Shell Danielson) and Scotty Baldwin and hired Julia’s sister Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) as the very first ‘Face of Deception.’ According to General Hospital history, when Dominique passed away in 1994, Scotty and Julian left the company, and left Lucy to run things as CEO. From there, the rest is history.
Fast forward twenty some years and Deception has found a new face and is ready to launch the modern day version of the cosmetic company. Things were starting to fall into place for Lucy when she discovered Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Sasha was the perfect woman to represent Deception and Lucy was ready to run with it. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy are working together to make sure this project becomes a success and they are counting on Sasha to help make that happen. Sasha is going through some major drama in her life after she and Michael broke up. Sasha is feeling overwhelmed and caved into being persuaded into taking drugs.
The Face Of Deception
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha’s drug use isn’t just a one time thing. Unfortunately, she is headed down a dark path which could jeopardize her own career as well as Deception as a whole.
As General Hospital rumors regarding the return of Brenda Barrett circulate, the story line has the potential to head into a direction no one saw coming. GH rumors suspect Marcil May return to General Hospital in the ear future after GH news and spoilers claim she is Dev Cerci’s (Ashton Arbab) mother. GH rumors hint that Sasha and Brenda will meet and connect during Sasha’s dark days as Brenda could return to step in to the role of representing the company. Lucy Coe will have to go to great lengths to keep Deception in a positive lime light, and by doing so it’s likely she will reach out to Brenda to come to Port Charles.
Previously, General Hospital Blog revealed Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) spoke of Marcil, stating that bringing the actress back would be a “no brainer.”Will Brenda return as part of multiple upcoming stories in Port Charles?
