Billy Miller Discusses His Own Spin on Jason Morgan

General Hospital newcomer, Billy Miller explains his plans for the character of Jason Morgan. Billy Miller had some extremely large shoes to fill by taking on this role after Steve Burton created the Jason Morgan persona for over 20 years. Fans have survived many recasts of their favorite beloved characters throughout the years. The soap industry is known for their ins and outs, and the potential of characters being recast. This is nothing new, yet the news of Steve Burton leaving General Hospital to go to The Young and the Restless hit fans harder than any other recast in General Hospital history. The recast process seemed to take forever, and the powers that be did a fantastic job of throwing everyone off. With the on again off again rumors of Billy Miller replacing Steve Burton, fans were kept in the dark on if and when this big change was going to happen. When the news was finally confirmed, it stirred up all sorts of mixed emotions among the fan bases. Die hard Steve Burton fans were angry, Billy Miller fans were ecstatic that they would be able to see their favorite actor on screen again, and many people just wanted to give Billy a chance and then make a decision on whether or not he could be the new Jason Morgan.

Billy Miller is a hit with the fans. He is living up to the legend of Jason Morgan and his chemistry with Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) is undeniable. Obviously, any recast is going to have minor and major differences from the previous actor who played the part. It is important to realize that in these situations, we will never get an exact replica. It’s important to welcome these changes with open arms, and appreciate the work that the actor is doing in order to entertain the fans. Billy Miller discusses the differences he is creating in this new Jason, aka Jake. In a recent interview, Miller said, “It would be ridiculous for me to mimic (the way Burton played him).” Miller states that this new Jason is a bit brighter, he smiles more, and throws in jokes to lighten the mood. He continued to explain, “It’s more fun in this genre whenever you can add some lightness to it or make it funny. You don’t get a lot of room for that so I usually look for it. It’s a scary position for this guy who is so lost and doesn’t know who he is, so you match that with a little bit of humor.”

Billy Miller is looking forward to when Jason finally comes in contact with his past. His past that includes his old lifestyle. His job. Miller looks forward to working with legends such as Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Roger Howarth (Franco), and Tony Geary (Luke Spencer). In regard to working with Geary, Miller says, “I can’t wait for that acting class.”

Michael Quartermaine?

The aftermath of the Corinthos family shake up has torn Michael away from the ones he loves. He has completely written Sonny off as his father, refuses to even call him Dad, he refers to his mother now as Carly, and his hatred fro Kiki and Morgan exude from every fiber of his being. He has already lashed out by sleeping with Rosalie, and Kiki caught them in the act. He is pushing everyone who loves him out of his life because he feels completely betrayed by their actions and lies.

As a result of this Corinthos family fall out, Michael Corinthos, the adoptive son of Michael Sonny Corinthos, is dead set on changing his name to reflect his biological roots. He now wants to legally be named Michael Quartermaine, after his biological father, AJ Quartermaine. After learning that Sonny shot AJ, and all of his family kept this secret from him, Michael wants nothing to do with his family… not even his name.

Do you think Michael will go through with it and change his name to Quartermaine? Will he regret his choice after all the smoke clears? Let us know if you think Michael should remain a Corinthos or if he is justified in changing his name to Quartermaine.

Sonny Corinthos FINALLY Goes Down for His Crimes… Who Will He Take Down with Him?

After about 21 years of loop holes, bad ass lawyers, and acquittals, Sonny has hit the end of the road. Mark it down in General Hospital history, that Michael Sonny Corinthos is finally going to Pentonville for his crimes. After admitting to shooting AJ Quartermaine to Carly, the confession was captured by a sneaky Franco who placed a camera in a necklace he gave to Carly as a gift. The video was exposed at what was supposed to be Franco and Carly’s wedding, but since he was less than forgiving after finding out that Carly was sleeping with Sonny behind his back, he decided that Carly, and everyone else should pay. He didn’t hesitate at the chance to expose Sonny’s crimes to his adoptive son, Michael, who has been searching for who murdered his biological father, AJ Quartermaine. All the while Carly knew it was Sonny.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny isn’t the only one who is going to pay for the murder of AJ Quartermaine. Perhaps everyone who knew what Sonny had done will be dragged down with him. Carly, Kiki, Morgan, Shawn, and possibly Ava could all end up right where Sonny will be…in a prison cell.

Who do you think is going down right alongside Sonny? General Hospital rumors indicate that Sonny will run into Johnny Zacchara while in Pentonville. The story just keeps getting better and better! Share if you are excited to see how this unfolds.

CONFIRMED! Brandon Barash Returning to General Hospital

Yesterday, General Hospital Blog reported that there was a General Hospital rumor with an extremely strong inclination that actor Brandon Barash would be returning to General Hospital. Sources have indivated that this is not just a rumor, but it is fact. Barash, husband of General Hospital co-star Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), will be returning to GH to reprise his role as Johnny Zacchara.

Sources say that this will not be a long term gig, however. Speculations point to an interesting story line which includes Johnny Zacchara running into Port Charles mob boss, Sonny Corinthos in Pentonville. Since Johnny is behind bars for the murder of Anthony Zacchara, and Sonny just got arrested for the murder of AJ Quartermaine, it isn’t unlikely that these two will cross paths while they are serving time in the slammer.

Will Michael Kill One Father to Avenge the Other?

What is the fate of mob boss Sonny Corinthos? Michael is devastated after learning that his adoptive father, Sonny Corinthos is the one who took the life of his biological father, AJ Quartermaine. After a false confession by Carlos Rivera, and months of trying to solve AJ’s murder, the people or Port Charles now know that the one who shot AJ was indeed Sonny Corinthos.

Michael is out to make the person who killed his father pay! He will stop at nothing to see that justice is served. Now that he knows one of his father’s has killed the other, what will be MIchael’s next move?

Will Michael go through with it and act out of rage? Is shooting Sonny Michael’s only solution? General Hospital rumors have specualted two ways that this could go down… 1) Michael shoots Sonny and puts him in the hospital, 2) Sonny goes to prison, and 3) It will be revealed that Sonny was not the one who actually killed AJ. It’s true that we all saw him pull the trigger, but word out on the street is that Sonny’s bullet isn’t what did AJ in.

Laura Wright Celebrates 9 Years with General Hospital!

The character of Carly Corinthos Jacks (Caroline Benson) is nothing short of legendary. The daughter of Port Charles vet, Bobbie Spencer, Carly first came to the scene in 1996 when she was portrayed by the talented actress, Sarah Joy Brown until 2001. When Brown left General Hospital to pursue other projects, the lovely Tamara Braun took over the role and stole our hearts until 2005. Jennifer Bransford briefly stepped in to the role just before Laura Wright took over as Carly in 2005.
Carly has been linked to many love interests including Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason Quartermaine/Morgan (Steve Burton/Billy Miller), Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), and Robert Frank/Franco (Roger Howarth). Most fans agree that Carly’s relationship with Sonny is one for the books as Carly and Sonny aka CarSon has been named a Daytime Super couple throughout the years.

Today the wonderfully talented Laura Wright celebrates 9 years of being with General Hospital. Time sure does fly, as it seems like yesterday we saw Laura debut as Carly in the “train wreck” episode.

Check out Laura’s 9 year announcement on her Instagram!

Take a look back at Laura’s first scene, November, 4th, 2005.

Will Mob Boss Sonny Corinthos Go to Pentonville?

Warning! This post contains a major General Hospital spoiler/rumor with an exciting plot twist!

Port Charles’ main mob boss, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), has committed some unthinkable crimes in the past and present, none of which he has actually served a considerable amount of jail time. It seems that no matter what Sonny does in Port Charles, he never actually gets convicted. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Diane Miller (Caroline Hennesy), or many of his other trusty attorneys have been able to get him acquitted of practically every dirty mob related crime he has ever been accused of. Many will say that Sonny is playing with fire when it comes to his recent activity with his former wife, and mother of his children, Carly Corinthos Jacks (Laura Wright). Carly is currently in a relationship with Franco (Roger Howarth), and Franco has some extremely damning information on Sonny. Sonny and Carly have been sleeping together behnd Franco’s back. Sonny is well aware that Franco knows that he shot AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), yet he still gave into his desires to have sex with Carly. Franco has found out the truth about these two from his friend, Kiki Jerome (Kristen Alderson). Kiki overheard Carly and Sonny discussing their infidelity, and Carly thought she had Kiki convinced to leave well enough alone. Well, Kiki ended up spilling all to Franco, and Franco took it upon himself to spy on Carly with that hideous necklace with the hidden camera.

Sonny wants nothing more than to keep Franco quiet about what he knows, and Franco wants nothing more than to get revenge on Sonny for sleeping with his girlfriend. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny and Shawn (Sean Blakemore) team up to come up with a plan to make Franco disappear. Meanwhile, Franco is has a plotting his next scheme to expose Sonny for his crime against Michael’s (Chad Duell) biological father, AJ Quartermaine. General Hospital spoilers also tease that Michael will turn his back on his entire family after learning what Sonny did to AJ, and that Carly has known all along. Morgan (Bryan Craig) also knows the truth, thanks to Michael’s girlfriend Kiki. Michael is the only one left in the dark about what his father Sonny has done to his biological father.

Michael’s world will be blown apart after learning that his entire family has betrayed him, including Kiki. What will stop Michael from going to the police to turn Sonny in for the death of AJ Quartermaine? Will the untouchable Sonny Corinthos finally pay for what he has done? Or will there be some loop hole that will set him free? Recent General Hospital rumors indicate that Sonny may have shot AJ, but someone else finished the job! What do you think?! Jason and Robin Are at the Doorsteps of Their Loved Ones… What Happens Next?

Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) manage to escape the blaze of glory that became of Crichton-Clark Clinic. Robin told Jason that they were able to escape because of him… they are alive and well and safely on the doorsteps of the ones they love. Robin instructed Jason to drive straight to Sonny’s house after she drove herself to the Metro Court to get in contact with her mother, Anna (Finola Hughes). She feared that if she and Jason went to their homes, they would be putting Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Emma (Brooklyn Silzer), and Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Danny (Corbin and Caden Rothwither) in danger. Just in case Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and her cronies were on their tales, Robin wanted to make sure that she didn’t put them in that type of situation.

At the end of Monday’s episode, we saw Robin banging on her Mother’s door at The Metro Court, and Jason approaching Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) doorstep, with his wife Sam inside. What happens next? Will it be this easy for Jason to reunite with the love of his life, Sam Morgan, and his best friend, Sonny Corinthos? Jason and Robin are so close to home that WE the fans can taste it. Could it be that we are able to see the reunion everyone has been longing for? …Or will something unexpected happen before Jason gets to present himself to Sonny and Sam?
