General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is facing trial for a crime she didn’t commit. Thankfully Trina has a strong support system.
Réal Andrews arrived in Port Charles with a bone to pick with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in 1996, long before becoming Trina’s father.
General Hospital news reports confirm that in recent years, for unknown reasons, the role of Taggert has been temporarily replaced by Asante Jones.
General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate that Trina’s trial continues this week on General Hospital. The court room is full of friends and a few faux, but nothing compares to family. Trina is surrounded by loved ones.
General Hospital comings and goings reports confirm, Réal Andrews has returned to his role as Taggert just in time for some very important scenes.
General Hospital rumors hint there will be a lot to face in the near future for Taggert and his family.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been getting away with everything but murder as she keeps running her twisted games in Port Charles.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) rushes to Wyndemere to try and stop Esme from telling Ava Jerome (Maura West) about their one night stand.
General Hospital news and spoilers indicate that the beginning of August will be the start of the Cassadine family fallout. GH rumors claim that Ava will react to Esme’s confession about what she and Nikolas did.
Recent General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that stunt doubles have been used for Ava and Esme’s altercation, involving the classic toss over the parapet bit.
Ava made a comment that she had been patient with the situation involving her stepson’s girlfriend, and the fact that she hadn’t thrown her over the parapet as of yet.
GH rumors claim that all that could change and Esme will get what’s coming to her but any rumors that she will die should be off the table since Esme’s portrayer, Avery Pohl has signed a 3 year contract with the almost 60 year old soap opera.
Dex (Evan Hofer) was hired by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to work undercover and obtain dirt on his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
General Hospital recaps review the scene where Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) witnessed Sonny and Dex rough up the skeezey photographer, Felty, for pushing drugs on and harassing Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Josslyn has not only Sonny’s, but Dex’s future in her phone.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Dex’s attempt to talk Josslyn out of ratting out Sonny (and ultimately himself) to the cops, has lead to a connection between them. While unable to disclose to Josslyn that he is actually working undercover for her brother, Dex is torn between protecting Josslyn from knowing what Michael is up to and keeping her from telling anyone what she saw.
Josslyn has deleted the video, but there is no guarantee that she will keep this information to herself forever. Dex has to tiptoe around his explanation without outing Michael’s plan to take down his own father.
General Hospital rumors hint that Joss and Dex’s recent and upcoming interactions could lead to a future romance after GH fans saw chemistry between them. How will Dex handle juggling, Michael, Sonny, and Josslyn while working undercover?
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is a strong woman who has been put to the tear time and time again. Recently she’s suffered so much loss in a short time, but General Hospital actress, Laura Wright reveals what’s ahead after Carly’s rough patch.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal details of a recent interview Wright had with Soap Opera Digest. Carly had lost her best friend, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), her husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and her career with the Metro Court, all in a short period of time, but Carly has been through and came out the other side from much worse.
General Hospital spoilers reveal, in reference to Carly’s recent suffering, Laura chimed in on how Carly is holding up. “It’s sad, but this is a woman who buried her son. It’s not even comparable.” Wright continued, “Does losing the Metro Court sting? Yes. Is she going to die? No.” Carly has lost a child, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), and nothing is more painful than losing a child. She’s been through the worst of the worst. Carly life experiences has prepared her for this type of “sting,” as if she’s grown a thicker skin that Carly tough exterior has already displayed.
GH star Laura Wright assures fans not to worry about Carly. General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate that Carly will bounce back from the losses she’s taken. Wright made it abundantly clear that Carly will come out on top.
General Hospital rumors hint that it’s possible Wright is referring to taking a Win over Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in many aspects of life- such as love and their careers, and most importantly, family. Laura explained, “You will see, Carly rises. Carly is the phoenix and she only comes back stronger and better. I think what’s coming up will be mind-blowing.”
Just as Nina Reeves admitted, Carly may be down but she’s NEVER out.
It isn’t uncommon for soap actors to come an go. Not only to they “die” or leave in some way and return as their original role, sometimes an actor will leave the drama and return as another character entirely.
General Hospital news reports explain that recently, a big time actor in the soap opera world was offered a chance to return to the canvas and has declined said offer.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that the recent leak regarding the failed chance of a shocking return to daytime is associated with General Hospital.
In a recent article in Soap Opera Digest, the remaining soaps such as The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Days Of Our Lives, and of course the new spinoff of Days, Beyond Salem, could all possibly have tried to reach out to a former star. However, out of all, GH and DOOL are better known for bringing back major stars. Since having Beyond Salem, most of the major players from Days have headed there, leaving General Hospital as the most plausible choice for this major spoiler.
GH rumors and spoilers claim that GH’s storyline surrounding Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) unexpected and unlikely death mystery was alluding to a possible return for the legendary actor and role. It’s hard to believe that the writers would kill off Lucas Lorenzo Spencer in such a meaningless and minimizing manner. The Cassadines have always had it out for Luke and all members of the Spencer family, making it totally believable that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is behind the whole thing. GH rumors claim that Geary may have declined the offer to return, causing the original plan for the story to derail.
General Hospital has been focusing a lot lately on Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), mentioning at least a few times of Cody’s mysterious binge rat in her father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Britt can’t stand her psycho father and is actually ashamed to be his daughter. She wants nothing to do with him just as she wanted nothing to do with his spawn and her half brother, Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
it’s possible we may see Faison creep back into Port Charles after Cody stirs up trouble involving Britt’s iconically psychotic, criminal father.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has never been know for her upstanding truth telling. Since the day she arrived in Port Charles, Carly’s entire life was deceptive.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal GH actress Laura Wright has revealed her justification for Carly’s most recent lie- or lie of omission if you want to get technical. Carly is lying for obvious reasons. One, she can’t stand Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), especially after she kept Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) away from his entire family, including his own wife. Secondly, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) asked Carly to keep this secret while on her death bed.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Wright has explain Carly’s reasoning for keeping this secret from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). She tells Soap Opera Digest, “I think she’s putting it out of her head right now, one hundred percent,” Wright explained. “I don’t think it’s weighing on her at all. She’s just lost her hotel, she’s getting ready to have another grandchild, so I don’t even think she is thinking about Nina and Willow.”
There is a key element that much of the audience forgets. When blaming Carly and shaming her from keeping Willow in the dark about her own mother, some tend to forget that Willow flat out told Carly that she doesn’t want to know who her real mother is. Laura reminds us, “Willow told her flat-out to her face ‘I don’t want to know who my mother is. If it turns out to be someone as awful as Nina, it’ll ruin our lives.’ So Carly thought, ‘One less thing for me to worry about. Done.’”
General Hospital rumors and spoilers suggest that soon enough, Carly will have to bring this piece of information back to the front of her mind when it’s revealed that Willow is gravely ill.
General Hospital rumors hint that Carly will be faced with faced with having to tell not only Willow, but Nina, the woman she loathes in order to save willows life.
Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) went against her better judgment and reluctantly agreed to one date with the new guy in town and friend of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
The date was an absolute disaster which resulted in Britt pouring wine on Cody, name calling, accusations, and overall disappointment and disgust. How could these two possibly have matched when they seem as though they should never even cross paths let alone enter into a romantic relationship. Enemies is an understatement at this point. So what could have lead to their mysterious match?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint that Britt is no dummy (of course she isn’t!), and she catches on quickly, realizing she and Cody never really matched at all. Since we know that Spinelli is the one pulling the strings at Society Setups, it will be his behind that will ultimately have to answer to the fraudulent connection.
General Hospital previews indicate that Britt is r day to sue Society Setups for what she has to endure on her date with Cody. Clearly these two were not a genuine match, and something is fishy with their connection. We know that Cody had Spinelli set this up, and now Spinelli could be in some serious trouble. He’s hiding his role in the dating service from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and everyone else. His secret just might explode when Britt comes for the dating service.
We love keeping up with what our favorite General Hospital stars are up to when they aren’t over at Prospect Studios filming their respective scenes as residents in the fictional city of Port Charles, New York.
Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) and Wes Ramsey (Peter August) often share prices of their personal lives via social media.
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal the real life star couple has recently enjoyed an amazing vacation together with their family. They shared photos from Fort Collins and more, displaying their various adventures from horseback riding too hot air balloons and family dinners.
General Hospital news reports confirmed that Laura had revealed in July 8th that she has tested positive for Covid, which resulted in the premature ending of their family getaway. This news lead fans to question whether or not the role of Carly Corinthos would soon be temporarily recast.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Wright has taken to in social media to assure fans she’s going well, and explain that General Hospital is currently in a planned filming hiatus. She explained the timing shock s pan out where she will be all set to return to the set of GH by the time the cast and crew is ready to start filming again. Laura explained, “I’m good,” as she assured a fan who had been asking if Laura was feeling well. “And we are on break right now so I’ll be good when we start shooting again.”
There is no reason for concern over recasting news for Carly and her portrayer Laura at this time.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has lost her husband and her career in a short time at the hand of her arch rival, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
General Hospital recaps reflect on the way Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) runs to Carly’s side when she’s hurt or in trouble. His final inquisition, asking is she’s okay, Carly reflected on knowing that Nina is Willow Tait’s biological mother, and reassured herself of her power. She told Sonny she’s okay because she has her family, while remembering that Nina doesn’t have hers.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors indicate that Willow is going to need medical attention that could required some type of organ transplant. Her chances at survival would greatly increase if a close relative was a match.
General Hospital rumors indicate that Carly will be faced with giving up her last form of ammunition against Nina- her daughter. I’m order to help save Willow’s life, Carly will have to decide to expose Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) secret confirming that Nina is Willow’s biological mother.
So much loss in so little time! Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be making some major adjustments in her life.
She has already accepted the fact that she had to move on from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), the love of her life and the man she married FIVE TIMES. He chose a different path, aka Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Carly isn’t going to wait around for him to sort out his feelings for another woman.
General Hospital recaps remind fans of Carly’s more recent loss, her owner status at The Metro Court Hotel. She and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) have been going halvesies on the hotel for years. It became a second home to them both and their business partnership allowed their true friendship to grow. Now, Carly is left without.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly now has a new mission in life. She’s in need of keeping her mind occupied. General Hospital previews indicate Carly will fixate in one particular person in Port Charles and it isn’t Nina- for now.
General Hospital rumors suggest that Carly will make it her mission to make sure Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) pays for what she has done to her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
Trina’s support system is strong. With everyone working tirelessly to prove her innocence and to expose Esme, GH rumors hint that the future is bright for Trina. Having Carly on her side is a win in itself.
