General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
It looks as though Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) was right on the money when she told Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was still a plausible threat from behind Federal Prison bars.
General Hospital news reports confirm that actor Jeff Kober has returned to the cast of General Hospital, in a shocking revelation as he is now colluding with Jason and Carly’s (Laura Wright) enemies.
Jason and Carly were just trying to put the pieces together, figuring out that Buscema’s concern with Joey Novak was just a smoke screen to make them think he would hold up his word. It’s clear the Novak’s have no real intention on keeping Joey away from Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), making Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) concerns for his daughter very realistic.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest Cyrus will make his big move has he has been colluding with Buscema and The Novak’s for something big to go down on the date of Jason and Carly’s wedding.
General Hospital comings and goings reports have not yet released the duration of Kober’s return to GH.
Glady Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) doesn’t know when to quit. She’s up to her old tricks again. It’s almost like she has hit her quota for good deeds for a lifetime after helping clear Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) name while pegging Peter August (Wes Ramsey) as Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Gladys isn’t done meddling in Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) business, and definitely isn’t finished fishing for money and power. She has no use for Carly now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is gone, and she has already been down that road with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and got burned.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest that Gladys will make her way into rubbing shoulders with the rich and powerful when her hatred fro Carly gets her an “in” with the Novak’s. She’s chatting it up with Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto), making it crystal clear she can’t stand her late cousin’s widow, who is about to marry another man.
General Hospital rumors claim Gladys will work her way into the Novak’s powerful web, not by her own charm, but by charming Vincent with her disloyalty to Carly.
Gladys isn’t getting an invitation to Carly and Jason’s wedding from either of them, but GH rumor has it that she will be Vincent Novak’s “plus one.”
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was getting a little too comfortable with her double life right up until Peter August (Wes Ramsey) showed up in Nixon Falls. From time to time she’d question herself and her despicable decisions, but still gonna through the motions of betraying Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and his entire family, not to mention Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy), along with all of Nina’s own loved ones.
Now that Peter has made threats to Nina’s quaint little life away from Port Charles, she’s been frantic and showing signs of being frazzled and uncomfortable. Of course, Mike blames that all on Peter.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nina reacts suspiciously after witnessing “Mike” and his attempt to attack Peter. Sonny tells Nina that he asked Peter about knowing his past, which causes Nina to react in a way that Sonny doesn’t expect.
General Hospital previews show Nina questioning “Mike” about why he woke ask him that question. The look on his face displays concern for why Nina would have an issue with his question, like, why would Nina mind if “Mike” was trying to look into his own past/identity.
General Hospital rumors claim this confrontation won’t serve as a setback for Nina and “Mike.” GH spoilers reveal today is the day they make things official by going on their very first date.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been living his life as “Mike” for the last 8 months. Other than a name that’s stuck out, a few memories of his dad and a blond woman, and his strong sense on how to make a mean pasta sauce, Sonny hasn’t really dove into trying to figure out the history behind his wedding band and expensive watch.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny’s intuitions are high when he can sense the discomfort Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) feels when Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is around. That’s not the only thing Sonny has a gut feeling about.
General Hospital previews indicate “Mike” wants to get to the bottom of Peter’s cryptic behavior because he has a feeling Peter knows who he was in his last life. Sonny/Mike demands Peter tell him who he is…
General Hospital rumors that although Peter would love to expose Nina, he hasn’t gotten what he wants from her just yet, therefore will hold off on telling Sonny the truth. Another close call is what is rumored for today’s episode of General Hospital.
General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) is active on social media platforms, letting fans in on much of her home life and family. He adores his home and pet goats he films frequently and posts his “Buddy” on IG. The California fires have no boundaries, and without the help of first responders, the situation would be much worse.
General Hospital news reports confirm GH icon, Maurice Benard has credited firefighters for his and his family’s safety during these California forest fires. He specifically calls out his son-in-law, Carlos Avila, for his heroism as a California firefighter.
General Hospital spoilers reveal the intense photo of the effects the smoke and fires have on residences, specifically Benard’s family home.
The photo below is that it Maurice’s recent Instagram story, where he tags his personal hero, Carlos Avila, husband of his daughter, Cailey.
Cailey Avila, daughter of Maurice and Paula Benard, shared a proud photo of her husband, Carlos, the firefighter.
We are thankful for the safety of the Benard family and thank first responders for doing all they can to ensure everyone’s safety as fires spread through California.
Never has an inanimate object ever received so much attention as does the infamous, Corinthos moss bowl!
The conversation piece has kept fans buzzing about the decoration which has been featured on the Corinthos kitchen for years.
General Hospital spoilers reveal the Corinthos moss bowl as recently been replaced by a bowl of floating white flowers. Some fans are up in arms over the disappearance of the iconic green moss, while others are thrilled to see it go. Whew do you stand on the debate among General Hospital fans?
There have been so many close calls and close encounters when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) being discovered by someone, anyone, who knows him- other than a villain like Peter August (Wes Ramsey) of course.
Remember when Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) stopped into the Tan-O to get a bite to eat, and Phyllis (Joyce Guy) was so kind to give Trina some pasta, made by “Mike”? Phyllis even gave Trina a container to take home and freeze for another time.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Trina offers up some help when Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) wants to cook up something special for her father, Jax (Ingo Rademacher).
General Hospital news and spoilers confirmed the time is near for Sonny Corinthos to return home to his family. Maurice Benard informed fans the drama and deep scenes would be coming soon.
According to General Hospital rumors, Trina will bust out the frozen sauce given to her by Phyllis, which was made by Sonny. Back home in Port Charles, Sonny was known for his pasta sauce- a taste so recognizable that it can’t be mistaken for anyone else’s!
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has taken her lie one step at a time, dealing with each close call as they come, somehow wiggling her way out of the sticky situations. This time Nina won’t be so lucky.
Finally, someone from Port Charles has discovered that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is alive and that Nina has been keeping him hidden and all to herself. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) finding Sonny and Nina is probably even worse than Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) making the shocking discovery. At least then, Nina wouldn’t be forced to do things that would betray those she cares about more than she already has.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nina reaches out for help after Peter uses what he has discovered as a plan to trap Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Nina is backed into a corner, risking being exposed, or risking Maxie and Louise’s lives.
General Hospital rumors suggest Nina will either sell out Maxie and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and tell Peter what is going on with his baby, or she will turn to a dear friend for help. Either way, it looks like Nina will be spilling Maxie and Brook Lynn‘a secret.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made his intentions toward Nina very clear. Nina knows that Valentin would do anything to help her if she so simply made the request. She believes that if she told Valentin the truth about Brook Lynn’s lie about baby Bailey, that he would see past what Brook Lynn did and be able to protect baby Louise anyways.
Nina has been threatened and blackmailed by Peter. Now it’s up to her next move to dictate which direction this situation will turn. Will Nina spill Brook Lynn’s secret to help protect Maxie and Louise?
Peter August (Wes Ramsey) has unexpectedly resurfaced, and in the most unusual place. Peter ended up in Nixon Falls, at the door of the Tan-O, while he was following Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) out of Port Charles.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has managed to keep Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a secret from the entire city of Port Charles for many months. It’s been a long time coming for karma to do it’s job and come to bite her in the @$$.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nina is a ikr to her what she deserves in the form of karma now that Peter has discovered her dark secret. Peter’s goal is to her to Maxie and their baby, Louise. Peter will use what he has discovered about Nina to back her into a corner.
General Hospital rumors suggest that Peter is going to use Nina and Maxie’s trust in her to trap Maxie. Nina is desperate to keep Sonny all to herself and has gone to great lengths to cover her tracks over these many months. GH rumors claim Nina will be blackmailed by Peter as he threatens to expose her to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Sonny himself, and everyone else back home. What will Nina have to do in return for Peter’s silence?! Some GH rumors claim Nina will sell out Maxie and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), exposing them for having many Louise pose as baby Bailey.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nina may go another route. In the next upcoming episodes, General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate that Nina reaches out for help. It’s possible she calls upon Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), because she trusts that he will help no matter what, even if that means telling the truth about the baby. Nina is certain that Valentin will still protect baby Louise, making it a possibility that the one she reaches out to is Valentin.
Now that someone from PC has recognized Sonny and knows Nina is keeping him hidden, she now must either come clean or keep scheming to hold on to her secret.
ESPN Journalist, Stephen A. Smith wears many hats as a journalist, TV personality, sports announcer, and actor. Smith has made it known that he is a huge fan of ABC’s General Hospital, and is a good friend of GH’s leading man, Maurice Benard, who plays the legendary mobster, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
General Hospital news and spoilers reveal Brick is back, and the drama isn’t limited to daytime. Stephen A. Smith was a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
General Hospital spoilers reveal, in the video below, Smith tells the late night crowd that he’s back on General Hospital as mob enforcer, Brick. Brick has been there for Sonny’s wife, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to help in any way possible as they handle the mob business in Sonny’s absence.
In his monologue, Smith gives a shout out to Rylan Seacrest, who is known for the many hats he wears in the entertainment industry. Stephen teases and says, “Watch out Ryan Seacrest, I’m coming for your ass!”
