Although Austin took an oath as a doctor, his personal life differs greatly from that of his professional life. In the Hippocratic Oath, the sworn-in Physician pledges to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. Therefore, Austin violates his responsibilities as a doctor even when not practicing medicine. So, just how good of a guy can he be if he’s entangled on whatever Mason is up to?

Furthermore, Mason is Austin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) cousin. He continues to threaten Austin, telling him that their boss needs him to do what he’s supposed to do. What who’s the boss? What is Austin’s purpose in the whole operation?

With that, we can suspect that Austin is indeed involved in some majorly shady business. As GH recaps recall, Austin wants out. His refusal to partake in, and carryout orders left Mason with no other option but to threaten his cousin. Still, Austin refuses.
