Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes! The Makeup of the Stars!

So, it’s date night for my husband and myself on this gorgeous Friday. We haven’t been out together alone (other than running errands or banking) since our son was born. We have a 5 year old little girl, and a 4 month old boy. Yes, I said it. We haven’t been out in 4 months! That being said, even though we aren’t going anywhere super extravagant, I thought it would feel great if I really did my makeup. We all know there is a difference between doing out makeup, and really doing our makeup. I just ordered Youniqe Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes from Justine Christiensen. This lash kit comes in a beautiful box containing Moodstruck Transplanting Gel and Moodstruck Natural Fibers. The process is short and totally simple, and very worth it! I used this product for the first time today while getting ready to go out. I have never seen my lashes so full and long before, no matter what I have tried! I have been through every single department store mascara, lash kit, etc., and nothing has come close to comparing to the fantastic results I received with this product.

I bet you are wondering why I called this “The makeup of the stars.” Well, that’s easy, let me tell you! This year, at the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards, Justine Christiensen brought this fiber lash kit to the red carpet! General Hospital stars such as General Hospital’s own Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne), Kristen Alderson (Kiki Jerome), Kelly Sullivan (ex-Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard, GH, Sage, Y&R), Lilly Melgar (Lily Rivera Corinthos), and more have tried this product and expressed their positive results! True testimonials from the women we see on screen almost every single day indicate this this product is a sure thing.

Getting ready for date night!

This lash enhancing kit is made with naturally derived ingredients. Check them out below!

Transplanting Gel Ingredients: Water, Beeswax (Natural Propolis), Carnauba (Brazilian palm glue), Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black), Collagen, Acrylates Copolymer, Nylon, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol. .23 FL OZ / 7 ml

Natural Fibers Ingredients: 100% Natural Fibers taken from Green Tea. Net WT .02 OZ/ .5g.

Collagen is a type of protein that works with elastin to give skin its texture, structure, and appearance. It contains antioxidants, and may help add volume and shine to the appearance of eyelashes.

Water (Aqua) is the liquid of life! Hydrates and cleanses the skin, and works as a natural spreading component, helping to distribute other ingredients evenly over the skin.

Beeswax (Natural Propolis) is a brownish, resinous material collected by bees and believed to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Carnauba (Brazilian Palm Glue) is extracted and refined through a pressing and crushing process that turns the palm glue into an oil, creating the sticky nature of the transplanting gel. It is also believed to act as a natural preservative.

Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black) is a technical name for Black Iron Oxide. This naturally-occurring mineral acts a colorant, giving the gel its striking black color.

Acrylates Copolymer is an adhesive and binder, as well as a suspending agent.

Nylon is a powder substance that is used as an absorbent and thickening agent.

Stearic Acid (also known as Palmitic Acid) is an organic nutrient derived from palm trees that is often used to soothe and soften the skin.

Propylene Glycol is a humidifying and delivery ingredient.

The easy 3 step process will bring you amazing results. For information on this product, and how to purchase, please visit www.youniqueproducts.com

Honest Company Product Review

Let me just tell you, NO COMPANY has matched and exceeded my expectations like The Honest Company. I am so thankful to one of my good friends for turning me on to these products.

I have a newborn baby who turned one month old just the other day. I signed up for The Honest Company diaper and wipes bundle. Every month you get a supply of diapers that you get to choose the patterns and size. The fantastic part is, the amount of diapers that you get last longer than a month, therefore you do not have to pay every month on the dot. It’s as simple as logging in to your Honest account and changing the shipping date of your next order. I also have signed up for the Honest Company Essentials Bundle. So far I have purchased, Organic Body Oil, Shampoo and Body Wash, Conditioner, Healing Balm (I use it for my son’s cute little butt), Body Lotion, 4 in 1 Laundry Pods and Bug Spray.

I chose to purchase Honest Company products after they were suggested by a friend, but not before checking the product rankings on www.ewg.org. This is a site that rates products and companies on their level of toxicity. Honest Company ranks extremely well, most of their products receiving a 0-2 range, which is basically the least amount of toxins in any product. I have tried other non-toxic hair and body products in the past and wasn’t able to achieve satisfying results. My hair looks amazing, my skin is soft and my baby hasn’t had a trace of any type of diaper rash. I bet you didn’t realize how toxic your laundry detergent is! If you have, I am sure you have moved on from it already. If you haven’t, consider the Honest Company 4 in 1 laundry pods. They are so easy to use… one pod per load, no measuring or guessing, and they get an A ranking on www.ewg.org!

A company and it’s products would be nothing without great customer service. Although it may take a few minutes on hold to speak to a representative, there is no automated frustration. Honest Company gets right to the point and the staff is extremely helpful, giving on one one attention. I was even given a direct email address for the employee who helped me over the phone, so that I could contact her personally if ever I had a concern. Honest Company customer service goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied and happy.

These products are also affordable, made in the USA, and a portion of the proceeds to go families in need. You couldn’t get a more well rounded company to purchase from! I am so pleased with the results of these products that I want to share my happiness with all the fans who read this blog, and those who are curios about The Honest Company.

Afterglow Cosmetics Pure Soul Mascara: Product Review

For about the last year I have been searching high and low for an all natural/organic mascara. I had read that mascara can be one of the most toxic of all the cosmetics because of the potential for it containing mercury. Not to mention, last year my eyelashes started falling out in chunks. I was really concerned as I wondered if it was some sort of underlying health issue. I put things into perspective and evaluated the situation. My hair (on my head) was still thick and I hadn’t noticed any loss or thinning, my weight was the same, and my overall health remained unchanged. This brought me to the thoughts of perhaps it was the mascara itself that was causing my lashes to fall out. Between curling them and putting mascara on I thought I was being too hard on my lashes.

After trying many different department store and drug store brands and having the same issue, I finally gave up. I had it with mascara but I needed a real solution, because long lashes are a must in girl world. That’s when I turned to Waxelene, the Vaseline, petroleum jelly alternative. I bought that, (which is an amazing product that I will touch base on in another post), so that I could curl my lashes with the curler and set them with the Waxelene. My idea was great and it worked wonders. Especially with eyeliner, it looked as if I was wearing a bit of mascara and it set my lashes in the curl all day long. It was great, and I continued using it for about 9 months. But recently, I have had the urge to have those long dramatic looking lashes once again, especially for going out at night. I came across a list of the 7 best natural mascaras and why they were considered the best. Pure Soul by Afterglow Cosmetics caught my interest the most after reading all of the descriptions, Some of the others still had some sketchy ingredients and unknown chemicals that I just didn’t want to take a chance with. Pure Soul definitely lives up to it’s name. I have found this to be a wonderful product all around. It’s functionality is top notch and it exceeds my standards for effectiveness of mascara. It makes my lashes look super long and separates them without clumping. The product surpasses all that I have tried in all my years of wearing makeup (a good 15+). It lasts all day long and doesn’t run or give me raccoon eyes. The best part of it all is that it actually is made with all natural and organic ingredients without any harsh chemicals.

Here is a complete ingredient list for the mascara. I think it should be a company’ social responsibility to post all ingredients for every product they produce. Since the government doesn’t regulate what goes into cosmetics, we never know the dangers of what we are putting on our faces, lip, eyes, etc. Afterglow Cosmetics believes in full disclosure of the ingredients their products contain because they have nothing to hide.

Complete Ingredient List: aqua (purified water), fructose (organic, made from corn)*, euphorbia cerifera (wildcrafted candelilla) wax, caprylic/capric triglyceride, cera alba (organic beeswax)*, glycerin (vegetable), glyceryl stearate, stearic acid, mica, aloe barbadensis (organic aloe vera) gel*, citrus grandis (organic grapefruit) extract*, rosmarinus officinalis (organic rosemary) extract*, usnea barbata (wildcrafted lichen), arnica montana (organic arnica) extract*;
May Contain [+/-]: titanium dioxide (77891), iron oxide (77492, 77891,77499), ultramarine blue (77007)
*certified organic

Burt’s Bees Product Review: Radiance Day Cream

Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Cream is one of my favorite products of all time. I have been using this moisturizer for about 4 years now. My skin was looking dull and feeling dry. I was in my late 20’s and noticed my first little wrinkle. Of course, I freaked out and started researching products to stop this process and diminish the wrinkle that had just presented itself. I was already a little familiar with the Burt’s Bees products, so in my search, they were already on my mind. I was pleased to come across their Radiance line. I went out to my local Meijer and purchased this amazing jar of moisture and youth. Immediately, I saw how the cream made my face look less dry and more dewy, and that was my goal. I wanted my skin to have a natural glow and that is exactly what this product did. Within a week, I noticed an all around improvement. My face was softer and even fuller looking even when I didn’t have the cream on. This cream truly works from the inside out. With ingredients like Royal Jelly, Shea Butter, and other antioxidant packed nutrients, it’s no wonder this 99% natural product has made me happy for over four years and counting. It’s definitely worth a try!
