Lisa LoCicero’s father has passed away. As a Grosse Pointe, Michigan native, General Hospital star Lisa LoCicero is from my neck of the woods. Growing up Italian on the East Side of Detroit, family meant something more than just biology.
LoCicero brought her Italian roots to her role as the spitfire from Bensonhurt, Olivia Falconeri. Olivia’s family values closely mirror those of traditional Italian families. She displays her roots when expressing her adoration for her sons Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Leo Jerome Quartermaine (Easton Rocket). Family, food, and prayer mean everything to Olivia.
Family is held in high regard by Olivia’s portrayer Lisa LoCicero as well. General Hospital spoilers reveal LoCicero has taken to Instagram to announce the devastating loss of a close family member.

I’d hoped this moment would never come. The best dad a girl could ever hope for passed away peacefully, as he lived his life.. surrounded by the love of his family. It still seems unreal that I am finally a member of this sad club.. I’m so old it just felt like I’d go on having a dad forever.. As other members of this club have told me, the grief comes in waves, and it’s not what you expect. Time to grow up a little more, even at my age! Thank you dad, for setting the bar high, for protecting me and always showing us how much we were cherished. I will remember you in healthy, smiling years before time took so many of the things you enjoyed. Death, like all important things is as common as dirt and yet completely unbelievable. I’ll always have you with me Dad..
