General Hospital: Will Jason fond Sam while he’s gone?
By now General Hospital fans are well aware that Steve Burton is taking a break from General Hospital. Reportedly, Burton confirmed his upcoming GH exit is only temporary. Based on recent General Hospital rumors, Jason returns this Summer, but he may not return alone. Currently, a large portion of the GH fanbase holds out hope that Jason returns this Summer with Sam!
According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors surrounding Steve’s exit, Jason leaves Port Charles. His upcoming absence is tied to the current storyline which involves Britt, Anna, Josslyn, Faison’s final project, and so much more. What we don’t know is whether or not Jason leaves willingly.
Faison’s final project has everyone Jason cares about twisted up and intertwined in all of the danger that comes with being close to the situation. Carly, Josslyn, Britt, Anna, and even Sonny are at risk. Of course, Jason’s life is at risk too. And it doesn’t end there. This wild plot of Faison’s extends from Cassadines to Spencers, to Quartermaines and Cains. And then some. You get my drift.
Jason Leaves to Neutralize The Situation- and Returns With Sam?
Back in 2017-2018 Jason and Sam (Kelly Monaco) were heavily involved in Cesar Faison’s memory mapping. Sam’s memory entire life was turned upside down when she was led to believe that Drew (the late Billy Miller) was Jason Morgan. Ultimately, they learned that Jason and Drew were Cesar’s memory mapping test subjects. Sam was also the one who discovered and outed Peter August as Henrik- blowing his cover. Sam’s involvement/interference in Faison’s first go-around is good reason for him to mess with her this time too.
It’s hard to say for sure, but it seems like GH is dropping hints indicative of Sam’s return. Sam was mentioned at least once a day for this entire week. Not to mention that Alexis, Willow, and Drew’s Scout situation, Danny acting out, Jason asking about guardianship, Dante reflecting on his love life with Lulu and Sam, could be clues as well.
According to General Hospital news reports, fan favorite, Kelly Monaco has not denied nor confirmed rumors of her return as Sam. Meanwhile, Burton exits GH and is expected to return as Jason this Summer.
General Hospital: Faison linked to Sam’s potential return?
General Hospital spoilers for the week of February 2, 2026 reveal that details of Faison’s final project become clearer. As investigations continue, new developments emerge. And the more we know, the more Cesar Faison’s project seems to involve the same key players as the last time he messed with the people of Port Charles. Ultimately, that all ended when Jason shot and killed him in 2018. That’s why (among other potential clues that can be found in this article) GH rumors suggest that Faison’s project brings back Sam.
It’s obvious that Faison’s final project, Cold Fusion, involves multiple people who have ties to the infamous villain. First, his kids, Britt, Nathan, and Peter. Of course Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Turner) too. In the past, Faison was responsible for the memory mapping and swapping of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). And within that mess, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is the one who discovered that Peter was actually Henrik- blowing his cover.
Additional GH comings and goings reports and recent spoilers confirm that Kirsten Storms returns as Maxie Jones. Let’s not forget her ties to both Nathan and Peter. She’s also linked to Sidwell, since we know that he’s the one who poisoned Deception’s product, causing her to fall into a coma right on the set of Home and Heart!
Will Faison’s Project Bring Back Sam?
The latest General Hospital spoilers and rumors indicate that Drew awakens after his wifey-induced stroke. Will he be the Drew he once was? GH rumors tease that Faison could have been responsible for Drew’s personality shift over the last couple of years. Coincidentally, Drew became what seemed like a different person (not for the better) soon after Jason returned. Potentially, Faison could be responsible for literally everything that’s happening now in Port Charles.
Apparently, General Hospital rumors speculate that this is eerily familiar to “the tale of two Jason’s” storyline that began around 2014. From there the storyline lingered on and off, and then picked back up in 2017. Then, Jason’s 2017 returned began the conclusion that wrapped up in 2018.
It makes sense that many of the same key players in that story are also prevalent in today’s current storyline. Faison continues to terrorize the same people he’s always terrorized. That said, GH rumors surrounding Kelly Monaco’s potential return hint that Faison may be linked to Drew’s strange behavior over the last couple of years, and Sam’s return.

This isn’t the first time that those who’ve survived Sam McCall have thrown her memory around as weight when making decisions. In fact, Alexis still finds herself pleading with Drew, asking him if what he’s doing is what Sam would want. As it turns out, Drew doesn’t give a crap. All that talk about Sam McCall has sparked the latest General Hospital rumors According to GH news reports, Kelly Monaco confirmed that she was let go of GH role she brought to life, and captivated fans for over two decades.

According to General Hospital rumors, someone finally puts an end to Congressman Cain. Drew’s number of enemies makes the perfect equation for a murder mystery. He has hurt so many people that just about any of them have good reason to kill him. So, if Drew ends up dead, whodunnit?

Back in March the 21 year General Hospital star Kelly Monaco revealed plans for a new podcast. She and friend and former Playboy playmate Shanna Moakler were set to launch Bad Bunnies, a tell-all podcast.
After a few months passed without an update, General Hospital Blog reached out to inquire about the Bad Bunnies launch. GH Blog left an Instagram comment on Shanna Moakler’s post asking for an update on the project. That’s when actress, model, and good friend to Monaco, Shanna Moakler kindly replied. Moakler confirmed that Kelly Monaco was no longer available to co-host Bad Bunnies.

As a result, the former General Hospital star sparked rumors of a GH return.
Sadly, Sam McCall died back in October, on Halloween. It’s been about ten months since Kelly Monaco left General Hospital, and fans aren’t the only ones still talking about her character’s death. Evidently, Sam’s loved ones have recently been dropping her name more often in these last few weeks.
Ironically, Jason continues to comfort and guide Danny in memory of his mother, Alexis and her girls, Kristina and Molly talk about their lost Davis girl, Dante reflects on Sam’s memory often, Alexis’s concern for Scout stems from Drew’s failure to honor Sam’s wishes, and others mention Sam lately.
Almost a year after Sam’s death, and her family struggles to work together to honor her wishes because of Drew. Despite what’s going on with Willow, Drew still plans to take Scout and move to D.C. Portia’s findings also tie Michael Corinthos’s (Chad Duell) hospital scare to Sam and Dex’s deaths. Moreover, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) wants justice for her boyfriend, and Sam’s family deserves to know the truth about what happened to her.

Cyrus Targets Jason’s Family, Sam and Dex Were Murdered! Is Danny Next?! The streets of Port Charles are no place to be these days. Actually, nowhere in Port Charles seems like a place you’d wanna raise a family. Danger lurks at every corner, and no one is safe from the adverse effects of mob life. Apparently, whether or not you’re married to the mob, or you hold down an honest man’s job, the violence associated with the business knows no limitations.
The people of Port Charles are on high alert after a second mysterious death that took place at General Hospital. Two patients were admitted into the hospital for their own reasons and didn’t make it out alive. Unfortunately, sometimes we do lose loved ones right from the hospital. After all, it is where the ill and injured go, and there’s no guarantee of survival. But Sam and Dex’s deaths were not your average, everyday, natural deaths. It looks like we have a murder mystery on our hands.
According to General Hospital recaps, Sam McCall and Dex Heller died tragically in separate but similar freak, post-op mystery deaths. Although both arrived at risk, Sam and Dex were otherwise both healthy young people.
Dex Heller’s shocking death leaves GH fans asking why. It’s difficult not to reflect on the would’ve, should’ve, could’ves when it comes to Evan Hofer’s GH role. Certainly, General Hospital fans wanted a back story for the lover-boy, mob-traitor turned cop, Dex Heller.

Yes, the latest General Hospital rumors tease that Dex is Jason’s son regardless if he’s dead or alive.
General Hospital Rumors: The “reformed” brother of Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) continues to commit heinous crimes, but now he hides behind religion to carry out even murder. Apparently, Cyrus figured out that Dex is Jason‘s long lost son.
Psycho Cyrus believes that he’s morally superior to others and justifies his crimes by acting as a vigilante for no one who’s asked. For example, GH rumors hint that Cyrus killed Sam to send a message to Jason, and to clear the way for Lulu to be happy with Dante. Similarly, GH rumors tease that Cyrus killed Dex to send a message to Jason, and because Dex was too close to the scene of Cyrus’s most recent crime. He knew too much about Cyrus’s whereabouts around the time Sam died, so Cyrus took care of it.

General Hospital Icon Kelly Monaco Talks Power And Consequences
General Hospital fans are still in disbelieve over the abrupt firing of GH fan favorite, Kelly Monaco. Sam McCall graced Port Charles with her exemplary presence in 2003. The wildly popular actress put her heart and soul into over 2,200 episodes as the iconic Samantha McCall. She and her other half, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) became one of most supported and loved daytime television couples of our time.
Together, Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco made magic on screen as Jason and Sam, or, JaSam. The Morgan’s were happy for a while but you know how soap opera relationships go- no one ever stays happy with their partner. But still; something about Sam and Jason’s chemistry kept fans holding on. And by fans, I absolutely mean myself included.
First, Sam was a force all on her own- with or without Jason, Sam could definitely kick some @$$. Kelly Monaco put her all into this character, and gave GH fans 110%. She was dedicated to her role, to the network and show, and to her General Hospital family.
It’s sad to know that some people don’t see Kelly and her work in the proper light. In fact, General Hospital news and spoilers reports reveal the latest on what one fan thinks about Kelly’s GH exit. But before you ask yourself who cares what one fan thinks, I’ll tell you probably no one. However, what true fans care to know is how Kelly Monaco has handled the situation.
I must say that in all the years that I’ve admired Kelly for her work ethic, her talent, her beauty and kindness, I’ve never admired her more than I do right now. Kelly’s words resonate with me and bear so much meaning to my world and everything that I’m currently going through.
I do have more power than a “job” it’s my voice, my experience, my truth. You can beat someone down, until they finally find the power within themselves to recover with grace and dignity. Those whom choose to bully behind their power, will suffer their own consequences.
As much as I still wish that Kelly Monaco returns to GH someday, it doesn’t look like that’s on the cards- at least not for a long while.
