General Hospital news and spoilers for 3-17-26 reveal a surprise return. The last time we saw Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), she and baby Daisy left Port Charles to stay with her father Robert Scorpio (the late Tristan Rogers). It wasn’t safe for Sasha and her new baby, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) saw to it that she and Daisy were safe.

Mattsson and her character Sasha left Port Charles back in July of 2025. At that time the wife and mother of two was in Stockholm, Sweden where she shared a photo and explained her GH exit. Mattsson informed fans that she was taking a break “for now” and hoped to return. Shortly after her GH exit is when her television father Tristan Rogers passed away in August.

According to General Hospital recaps Jason delivered Sasha and Daisy to Robert himself to ensure their safe arrival. Since then, and off screen, Tristan Rogers passed away. General Hospital spoilers indicate that GH plans to address Robert’s death on screen, as well as honor Tristan in a tribute.

Reportedly, General Hospital’s Sofia Mattsson made an announcement via Instagram. She shared a photo that is captioned, “Soaking up the LA sunshine.” So, from Sweden in July, Mattsson has now returned to Los Angeles. Although GH comings and goings reports have not yet confirmed Sasha Corbin’s return, GH rumors hint that Mattsson returns when Port Charles learns of Robert Scorpio’s passing.

Will Sofia Ever Bring Sasha Back To Port Charles?

According to General Hospital news, Sofia Mattsson returned to her hometown shortly before her GH exit was announced. Reportedly, Mattsson shared a photo of herself back home in Stockholm, Sweden on July 12. That was just 6 days prior to confirming her departure after 7 years of playing Sasha. Thankfully, Frank Valentini made mention that Mattsson is open to reprise her role as Sasha down the road.

Will Sasha and Daisy ever return to Port Charles? Right now Sasha remains in the dark about the disturbing events that happened with baby Daisy. Mistakenly, it’s believed that Sonny’s world was targeting his son Michael Corinthos’s newborn baby as a warning.However, there has been a new revelation since Jason brought Sasha and Daisy to her father, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

The latest General Hospital recaps recall that Michael realized that the person messing with Daisy was Willow! Apparently, Michael finds Willow more dangerous than if the Five Families mobsters used his baby to threaten Sonny. Meanwhile, Sasha and Daisy get to spend precious time bonding with Robert.

On July 29, Sofia’s Instagram post gave fans hope that someday she’ll make her way back to General Hospital. Evidently, in Sofia’s photo caption she says goodbye “(for now 😜).” It sounds like the beloved actress as intentions to someway bring Sasha back to Port Charles. Until then, best of luck to Sofia, and we can’t wait to see her on GH again!

The streets (and mansions) of Port Charles are no longer safe, and proper action must be taken. Since organized crime runs rampant in Port Charles current dangers are automatically suspected to link to Sonny Corinthos. After all, he is a five families kingpin. His extensive career in the life of crime has given Sonny quite a reputation around the city. When it comes to this coffee importer, most people either love him or hate him, or even love to hate him!

According to recent General Hospital recaps Michael believes that Daisy is in danger due to the nature of his father’s business. At this point, Sonny probably thinks that the disturbances with Daisy are all Sidwell‘s doings. Little do they know, it’s Willow who is using Daisy to spook Sasha.

Sasha’s Leaving… Will Sofia Mattsson Return?!

Without a doubt, General Hospital fans became curious and rumors began to circulate. We can put those rumors to bed now because General Hospital’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, has confirmed Sofia Mattsson’s GH exit. A representative of General Hospital addressed Mattsson‘s exit and said, “There was a good time in the storyline for Sofia to leave to pursue other opportunities in film and TV.” Valentini added, “But she is open for a return in the future.” I love Sofia, she is a great actress and a dear friend. We will miss her, but we wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.”

Reportedly, Sofia Mattsson’s days on the Daytime Emmy winning TV drama have come to an end. Mattsson explains, “I started off thinking it would be just a few episodes on recurring status, so I definitely did not think I’d stay so long. But I will say it’s gone by incredibly quickly. From the start, I’ve seen every day as a challenge and opportunity to grow as an actress, and honestly, that mindset never stopped — I feel like I learned something new every day until the end!”

Sofia joined the cast of General Hospital almost seven years ago, and made her debut as Sasha Gilmore on September 18th, 2018. Thankfully, Frank left the door open and hope that one day Sasha and Daisy return to Port Charles. General Hospital Blog looks forward to that say. For now, Sofia (and Sasha) will be sorely missed.
