Dex Dies! Evan Hofer Checks Out Of General Hospital
Well that’s not cool! Let’s just say that there was so much potential with this actor, character, and storyline. Why would General Hospital kill off Dex Heller?!
Evan Hofer joined General Hospital’s cast in 2022. He came to Port Charles and immediately intertwined into the Corinthos family and all of their glory and gloom. At first, Michael Corinthos hired Dex Hellwr to work for him undercover. The assignment was personal for Michael, and eventually lines became too blurry and Michael called off the mission to take down his own father. Dex was ready to take on the task but become close to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) during the process. Then, betrayal severed a budding bond that unexpectedly developed between Sonny and Dex.
Meanwhile, Dex was falling in forbidden love with Michael’s sister and Sonny’s step daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). According to General Hospital rumors, GH had big plans for Dex. Many hints toward GH spoilers claimed that eventually Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would discover that Dex was his son.
Evidently, Evan/Dex’s fan has was strong as General Hospital fans used social media fan pages to comment passionately about the character and the potential story to be told. Sadly, no GH fan theories will ever come to fruition. Furthermore, Joss and Dex fans had hope for an epic romance, but not that hope has been crushed by another one of GH Executive’s unpalatable decisions.
GH Executives Make Another Unpalatable Decision- GH’s Dex Dies
Suddenly, all of the daydreaming and social media theories came to a screeching halt after GH’s Friday the 13th episode where General Hospital’s Dex dies! General Hospital recaps recall Dex was stabbed and left for dead after breaking up a fight with some teenagers. Judy like Sam, Dex was seemingly fine and going to me a full recovery. That’s when sudden death struck both Sam and Dex as a result of recent out-of-left-field storylines.
Dex Quits PCPD for Jason!? Ever since Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came to Port Charles, many GH fans found it difficult to buy into the character’s background story. Sketchy at best, Dex’s home life leaves gray areas. Dex’s version of what it was like growing up set the stage, and made room for potential storyline surprises.
Moreover, This isn’t the first time that Jason and Dex’s similarities peak curiosity. Back in September of 2023, GH Blog shared an interesting and probable theory about Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Reportedly, a large portion of General Hospital fans believe that there’s more to Jason and Dex’s story. Although few naysayers deny any and all surprises when it comes to Jason Morgan. But, GH fans speculate that a surprise is surely on the way.
Evidently, the similarities between Jason and Dex are set up perfectly for a paternity storyline. According to recent General Hospital rumors, the idea that Jason Morgan is Dex Heller’s biological father becomes more convincing the more they get to know each other. First, it’s the physical appearances for me. Dex’s hair and skin coloring resembles that of dear old dad. On top of that, Dex’s physique and dress code are giving mini-me vibes.
Jason Morgan and Dex Heller Father and Son?
According to the latest General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Jason’s mini me makes a move that brings him closer to a revelation. We all remember why Dex came to sport Charles in the first place- to help Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) take down mobster, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). His stance wavered and there were times when Dex wasn’t sure he wanted to take Sonny down. In fact, they even got close over a bowl of pasta.
Dex Heller and Sonny Corinthos Bond Over Pasta
Will Jason and Dex inch closer to making a life changing discovery?!
When I think of Sonny’s oldest daughter and those close to her, Carly Corinthos’s name isn’t the first to come to mind. Despite having been Kristina’s stepmom, she and Carly aren’t super close. However, they aren’t exactly enemies or anything like that either.
Still, through the years Kristina has had her mom Alexis, and her sisters Sam and Molly. But the one she’s always been closest to is her dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She and Port Charles’s most sought after mobster are thick as thieves. GH recaps recall that Kristina stood up to Carly’s daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). She couldn’t fathom how her dad could have done what Josslyn accused him of but has since learned the truth. On Friday, Kristina had a front row seat to another side of dear old dad.
Moments Before Sonny Beats Dex
General Hospital spoilers and rumors indicate that Kristina suffers trauma after seeing Sonny cathartically beat up Dex. It looked almost like Sonny was in his element when kicking Dex’s @$$. But how could an act so devastating and cruel look like it was commonplace to Kristina’s beloved father?
According to General Hospital spoilers, Carly grows concerned for Kristina. Her former step daughter is pregnant and any file of trauma could present harmful effects to Kristina and the baby. Carly knows Sonny all too well and that’s exactly why she’s worried about his daughter and the unborn baby. Will Carly have a warning for Sonny’s pregnant daughter?
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is viewed as a family man by half of Port Charles. The other half sees a ruthless mobster. As for the audience, the same applies. GH fans are split between adoring the loving father and honorable man that is Sonny Corinthos, and the fearsome gangster.
Retrospectively, there’s no doubt about Sonny’s long history of good and bad. While some remember the good and the bad, others only remember the bad. GH recaps recall the time when Sonny shot Dante Falconeri. Unbeknownst to Sonny, his old girlfriend Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) gave birth to a baby boy. Many years later Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up in Port Charles. He was an undercover cop, and Sonny didn’t know he had a so. Suddenly, one thing led to another and Sonny shot Dante! Mr. Corinthos had almost killed his own son and didn’t even know it.
GH Bloodshed! Sonny Shoots Dex
General Hospital rumors tease that history repeats itself. Back when Dante was was undercover, Sonny knew nothing of their relationship. Tragically, he pulled the trigger and shot his own son!
This time, Sonny shoots Jason’s son! Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Jason (Steve Burton), Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is his son.
You can deny it all that you want but more clues lead to a controversial theory. It seems that every so often soap operas love to play the “Who’s the Daddy? game. Despite Dex’s divulgence of his home life, GH fans speculate that there is a more complex story to be told.
According to recent General Hospital spoilers and rumors, another clue emerges from Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return. Previously, General Hospital Blog shared theories surrounding Dex’s paternity. Specifically about Jason Morgan and Agent John Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington).
The latest article (above) provides a breakdown of clues that lead to a connection between Jason and Dex. Agent John Jagger Cates returned to Port Charles after three decades with Jason secretly in tow. According to GH recaps, Jagger admitted that he still holds a grudge against Jason. However, his beef is with Jason Quartermaine, not Jason Morgan. Back in the day, Jagger, Jason, and Sonny all had something in common… Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne).
Today, Jagger still can’t let the past go. He’s using Jason as his personal puppet by dangling charges against Carly over his head. What does he hate Jason (Quartermaine) so much? Apparently, Jason gets to the bottom of Agent Cates’s motives when he helps Joss protect Dex against Sonny’s wrath.
Is Dex the reason that John Cates has it or for Golden Boy?
Jason Protects Sonny Against Incriminating Evidence
Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) popped back into Port Charles after having left decades ago. Back then friendly, and even not-so-friendly faces called him Jagger. Today, Sonny’s 90s rival goes by the name of Agent John Cates.
General Hospital Recaps: Previously, Michael came to the realization that sabotaging his father wouldn’t resolve his hurt inside. Michael feels that Sonny betrayed their family with Nina. Eventually, Michael called off the covert operation involving Dex Heller because going against his dad isn’t going to undo what had already been done.
Jason Protects Sonny Against Incriminating Evidence
As it turns out, Michael Corinthos’s plan to take down his own father comes back to bite him. Whatever happened to that flash drive anyway? You know, the one that Dex obtained while working undercover, and while under Michael’s orders. Of course, Sonny knew nothing about it at the time. He trusted his son and his employee, but they betrayed him.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest that Agent Cates has Jason Morgan right where he wants him. The puzzle pieces are falling into place. Jason fills in the blanks, and Cates, aka Jagger spills the tea. GH recaps recall when Agent Cates admitted that his beef is with Jason Quartermaine- not Jason Morgan. The plot has thickened!!!
Loyalty, honesty, and respect are among the qualities that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) most dear. In his line of work it’s imperative that he can trust those in his close orbit. That’s why if anyone dares to pull the wool over Sonny’s eyes and he manages to uncover them, that traitor better look out!
According to General Hospital recaps, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came to Port Charles for all the wrong reasons. He was eager to work and had nothing to lose. Thats when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex to work undercover to access incriminating evidence against Sonny. Back then Michael was hell bent on making Sonny pay. Although Michael came to his senses and called off the mission, Dex continued to work for both Sonny and a Michael in secret. And this time, Carly and Michael kept Dex on payroll to protect Sonny from his the enemy.
Fast forward to present day, and Sonny knows exactly what his family has done. He found out that not only Carly and Michael, but Dex betrayed him too. But instead of normal protocol, Sonny handled Dex a bit differently.
Dex Is As Loyal As They Come
We all know what Sonny does to a traitor- so why did he spare the young man who was originally hired to destroy him? Could it be that both Sonny and Dex developed a soft spot for one another? As a matter of fact, Dex admitted. Perhaps Sonny spared his young life because he feels the same. But business is business, right? Maybe not.
Dex does some digging of his own
The latest General Hospital, spoilers and rumors tease that Dex continues to protect Sonny from his enemies. Despite being shunned and banished out of Port Charles, GH rumors tease that Dex is as dedicated as can be. The traitor inside Sonny’s organization is still at large and Dex does some digging of his own. What will he find? GH rumors tease that the mole might be Brick! I’m crossing my fingers that isn’t the case!
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has disappeared. His involvement with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) earned him a one way ticket out of town.
According to General Hospital recaps Sonny Corinthos is the reason Dex came to Port Charles in the first place, and now Sonny is also the reason why Dex left. But not everything revolved around his mob boss. He made connections, established friendships, and even fell in love. Dex and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) fell fast for each other in a forbidden romance type of way.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Josslyn was left devastated when Sonny banished Dex from Port Charles. As if Joss needed another reason to loathe Sonny, he went ahead and did the unthinkable. As a result, Josslyn lost the man she loves.
GH spoilers tease that there’s a lot going on in Port Charles as Sonny works to uncover and eliminate his enemy. Up until now, Dex insight helped Sonny to navigate the threat. Now he’ll have to go it alone. According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Sonny isn’t the only one who has to go it alone.
Meanwhile, Josslyn can’t wrap her head around how and why Dex would leave without bringing her with him- or at least give her the opportunity to choose. According to recent GH spoilers and rumors, Josslyn and Sonny have something in common. She too could have to face a challenge without Dex’s inside. Let’s say the rumors are true. If Josslyn Jacks is pregnant, will Sonny find Dex and bring him home?
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) shows his loyalty to Sonny Corinthos time and time again. At this point there’s nothing that he can do to stop what happens next.
GH recaps highlight that Sonny goes to extreme measures to get to the truth out of his trusted employee. But how much can Sonny really trust Dex? While it’s true that Dex has only good intentions, that surely wasn’t the case at first. According to GH recaps, we all know that Dex was hired by Sonny’s very own son Michael with ill intent to destroy his father.
According to General Hospital spoilers reveal that despite Michael’s change of heart, the deceptive nature of his and Carly’s plan could get Dex killed. From Sonny’s viewpoint Dex looks guilty as sin. Money just happened to drop into his secret account just days within an attack on Sonny, on two separate occasions. That tells Sonny and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) that something is up with Dex and they want answers. GH spoilers and previews indicate that Sonny takes Dex for a ride to get to the bottom of this. He wants to know who Dex works for and who shot at him and Ava Jerome (Maura West). Moreover, Sonny wants to know who shot Curtis at the Metro Court.
According to GH rumors, Sonny uncovers a hell of a lot more than he bargained for.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) thought he had gained Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) trust after having endured torture, and continues to risk his life for the “organization.” But still, Corinthos has his doubts about Dex.
General Hospital spoilers tease that if things get too hot, Dex gets removed from the kitchen. Brick has a sneaky suspicion that Dex is hiding something from Sonny. And we all know that a lie of omission is still a lie. But now Dex will be presented with the opportunity to either lie or tell the truth with a direct answer.
According to GH recaps Brick doesn’t trust Sonny’s newest muscle. Although Dex isn’t “new,” the eager young enforcer is one of Sonny’s most recent in his trusted circle. Since Sonny suspects the recent attack to have been an inside job, Brick dives into Dex’s background. They can’t be too careful, so Sonny and his trusted friend tap into a probable source.
Dex’s Secret Exposed!
Reportedly, Soap Opera Digest shared exclusive GH spoilers with fans regarding Brick’s investigation. Brick puts Dex in the hot seat and demands that he reveals his bankroller. The pressure is on. Will Dex reveal not only Michael, but Carly as well?
