Sonny Corinthos Then and Now
Sonny Corinthos has been a key character on General Hospital since 1993, played by Maurice Benard. A powerful mob boss in Port Charles, he balances ruthless business tactics with fierce loyalty to his loved ones. He has faced many challenges, including bipolar disorder, turbulent romances, and deadly rivalries. Despite his criminal ties, he remains devoted to family and friends. His complex nature makes him a fan favorite. Co-star Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos, calls him “the mobster with a heart of gold,” capturing his mix of toughness and compassion.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) haven’t been the best of friends as of lately. Maybe it’s a power struggle, maybe it’s more complicated than that, but either way, Nikolas and Sonny haven’t been getting along.
It seems as though Nikolas doesn’t value Sonny’s loyalty to his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), perhaps out of jealousy. Nikolas and his son have been at odds, and Spencer seems to look toward Uncle Sonny for advice and protection instead of his own father.

GH rumors hint Nikolas will resist at first, but eventually come around to teaming up with Sonny, going against his own uncle in order to protect his family. Like mother like daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) but had a deep connection with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) on the 2nd anniversary of her “death.”

Nikolas and Courtney’s son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) loves his uncle Sonny and the feeling is reciprocated. Sonny looks after his nephew, offering his protection and anything he may need. Lately Sonny and Nikolas haven’t been getting along, mainly after Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) drove a wedge between them with her lies and schemes. Maurice directly replied with: @mauricebenard60：He’s way too busy.”
It looks as though Bryan Craig has no plans of reprising his role as Morgan Corinthos in the near future, however, fans still hold out hope that someday when his schedule it lighter, he could return.

If it weren’t for Carly’s ex, Jasper “Jax” Jacks, none of this would be happening and Nelle wouldn’t have been in their lives. But, would Josslyn be alive? That’s the debate Carly had to deal with in her mind. Blame Jax for bringing this lunatic into their family’s lives, or let’s say he didn’t, Josslyn may not have survived.
