General Hospital News: GH Star Amber Tamblyn (ex-Emily Quartermaine) Shows Love For GH Family

Actress Amber Tamblyn joined the cast of General Hospital, back in 1995, playing the role of Emily Quartermaine until 2001. Tamblyn was 11 years old when she took on the role of being an adopted addition to the legendary Quartermaine family.

Back in June, in the wake of co-star and TV father, Stuart Damon’s (Alan Quartermaine) death, General Hospital news reports reveal Amber took to Twitter to reflect on her time with the GH family, and publicly displayed love and support for Damon and the rest of the cast and crew of General Hospital.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: GH Creates Special Episode Honoring The Late Stuart Damon

At last month’s end, General Hospital news reports announced the devastating news regarding the passing of General Hospital icon, Stuart Damon. His past co-stars and life long friends shared their condolences to his family with a heavy heart, while expressing their fondness and admiration for such a kind, talented, and legendary man.

General Hospital spoilers reveal GH will create a special tribute episode that will air in honor of Stuart, and is iconic role on General Hospital as Alan Quartermaine.

General Hospital news reports reveal a very telling statement by on-screen wife, Leslie Charleson, who played beside Damn for decades as Monica Quartermaine. At the time of learning of her co-star’s passing, Charles stated, “This is the 30th anniversary for the two of us, in August. The timing leaves me very discouraged about the way soaps are going, the total disregard for history and the blatant disregard for the veterans.” When Damon was fired in 2007 by Jill Farren Phelps, at the order of Brian Frons and Anne Sweeney, Charleson, among many other leading co-stars, spoke out against the decision to just throw away a veteran character.

Although killed off the show in 2007, Damon made appearances heee and there as a ghost and hallucinations, and his last appearance was during GH’s 50th anniversary in 2013.

General Hospital news and spoilers have yet to reveal any details on when this tribute episode will air or what the premise will be other than the obvious. Like the tribute episode for John Reilly and is role as Sean Donnelly, this episode’s main focus will be on the life of Alan Quartermaine. But it’s not clear if there will be a separate storyline as there was in the episode honoring John/Sean.

General Hospital News: Breaking! Stuart Damon Dies At 84

It is with great sadness that we have to inform General Hospital fans of the death of legendary actor, Stuart Damon.

Stuart Damon played the iconic role of Alan Quartermaine, son of Edward and Lila Quartermaine. He played the legendary character from 1977-2007, and made appearances throughout the 2000s, last appearing in 2014.

General Hospital news and spoilers reveal Damon has died at the age of 84. News reports confirm that Stuart had been struggling with renal failure for years.

In regard to his role on GH, Damon’s son states,  “It was his favorite place to be. He loved playing Alan and was always so appreciative of that role and that job. It was his passion.”

Stuart Damon was a legend and his legacy will live on through his family, loved ones, General Hospital, and his fans who adored him.

The year was 1991, and smack in the heart of the Christmas season, Steve Burton debuted as Jason Quartermaine on December, 19th.

General Hospital news reports the 29th anniversary of Burton’s iconic role on the daytime drama, General Hospital. Today his character Jason is well known as Jason Morgan, but a true GH fan can never forget how it all started, as Jason Quartermaine, son of the legendary daytime TV family, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon). Steve played the family’s “golden boy” as he was favored over troubled brother, AJ Quartermaine.

Jason’s character has changed and evolved over the course of these 29 years, and has made quite a mark on the daytime audience.

This man known as a protector, mob enforcer, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right hand man, Carly’s (Laura Wright) best friend, a father, and lover of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)… he is none other than the legendary badass, Jason Morgan.
