After all, it’s Monica’s house, Alan gave it to her. And that means Monica can leave her house to anyone she wants to. It just so happens that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is Alan Quartermaine’s (the late Stuart Damon) sister.

Traditionally, the house should stay in the family, and then a decision can be made down the road to either keep it, or to put it up on the market. General Hospital fans know the long running joke about Alan, Monica, Tracy, and the Quartermaine mansion. Back in the day and I throughout her marriage to Alan, Monica and Tracy were far from friends- let alone cared for each other like family. But being sister in laws through Alan, things evolved over the years. But first, we can’t forget how much Tracy hated the fact that Alan gave Monica the house.

Coming up on General Hospital, the 63 year old daytime drama addresses the iconic Leslie Charleson’s passing. Reportedly, Leslie Charleson died on January 12, 2025. It’s been over a half a year since the GH star’s passing, and the current storyline has Monica Quartermaine (the late Leslie Charleson) laid up in her room, feeling ill.

It’s Monica’s house because Alan gave it to her. So who will Monica pass it on to? The Quartermaine mansion is iconic, and an iconic character should inherit the family home. GH rumors tease that Monica gives the house to Tracy Quartermaine.

However, it has been confirmed that daytime television legend Erika Slezak has joined General Hospital. The popular One Life to Live star debuts as an original, but short-term role. According to recent GH, rumors fans speculate that Slezak has been cast to play Monica‘s secret, or long-lost sister. Will she and Tracy butt heads just like Monica and Tracy had done over the years?

It’s Monica’s house! Alan gave it to her! It is with great sadness that General Hospital Blog shares unfortunate news. Reports confirm the passing of a television icon and beloved General Hospital star, Leslie Charleson.

Now, we reminisce on unforgettable memories throughout the years. My favorites include. Monica and Tracy’s rivalry, Monica’s favoritism for Jason aka Golden Boy, and Thanksgiving pizza, and much more.

Undoubtedly, the Daytime TV world and soap opera community endures another loss among the GH cast. General Hospital news reports confirm that General Hospital legend, Leslie Charleson has died. Sadly, General Hospital cast and crew has lost one of their nearest and dearest, and the General Hospital fandom also mourns this great loss a well.

General Hospital’s Leslie Charleson Has Died

Charleson’s General Hospital journey began in 1977 when she joint the cast as the iconic Monica Quartermaine. Reportedly, Charles played Monica in over 2,000 episodes throughout the years. She appeared on air as recent as December of 2023, and the people of Port Charles mention her from time to time.

According to the latest GH news, Frank Valentini shared his sentiments on behalf of ABC’ General Hospital. GH’s Executive Producer shares the news via Instagram, leaving a heartfelt message. “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Leslie Charleson. Her enduring legacy has spanned nearly 50 years on General Hospital alone and, just as Monica was the heart of the Quartermaines, Leslie was a beloved matriarch of the entire cast and crew. I will miss our daily chats, her quick wit and incredible presence on set. On behalf of everyone at General Hospital, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to her loved ones during this difficult time.” -Frank Valentini

According to online resources, a number of falls contributed to Leslie Charleson’s developed lack of mobility. It was just a week ago when Charles took another fall and was hospitalized. One week later, she passed away. Leslie Charleson was 79 years old.

Leslie’s role as Chief of Staff, Jason and AJ’s mama, Alan’s wife, Tracy’s rival, and so much more will live on in General Hospital’s future. There’s much more story to be told from the Quartermaine mansion, where the family can honor the woman who held them all together.

General Hospital News: GH Star Amber Tamblyn (ex-Emily Quartermaine) Shows Love For GH Family

Actress Amber Tamblyn joined the cast of General Hospital, back in 1995, playing the role of Emily Quartermaine until 2001. Tamblyn was 11 years old when she took on the role of being an adopted addition to the legendary Quartermaine family.

Back in June, in the wake of co-star and TV father, Stuart Damon’s (Alan Quartermaine) death, General Hospital news reports reveal Amber took to Twitter to reflect on her time with the GH family, and publicly displayed love and support for Damon and the rest of the cast and crew of General Hospital.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: GH Creates Special Episode Honoring The Late Stuart Damon

At last month’s end, General Hospital news reports announced the devastating news regarding the passing of General Hospital icon, Stuart Damon. His past co-stars and life long friends shared their condolences to his family with a heavy heart, while expressing their fondness and admiration for such a kind, talented, and legendary man.

General Hospital spoilers reveal GH will create a special tribute episode that will air in honor of Stuart, and is iconic role on General Hospital as Alan Quartermaine.

General Hospital news reports reveal a very telling statement by on-screen wife, Leslie Charleson, who played beside Damn for decades as Monica Quartermaine. At the time of learning of her co-star’s passing, Charles stated, “This is the 30th anniversary for the two of us, in August. The timing leaves me very discouraged about the way soaps are going, the total disregard for history and the blatant disregard for the veterans.” When Damon was fired in 2007 by Jill Farren Phelps, at the order of Brian Frons and Anne Sweeney, Charleson, among many other leading co-stars, spoke out against the decision to just throw away a veteran character.

Although killed off the show in 2007, Damon made appearances heee and there as a ghost and hallucinations, and his last appearance was during GH’s 50th anniversary in 2013.

General Hospital news and spoilers have yet to reveal any details on when this tribute episode will air or what the premise will be other than the obvious. Like the tribute episode for John Reilly and is role as Sean Donnelly, this episode’s main focus will be on the life of Alan Quartermaine. But it’s not clear if there will be a separate storyline as there was in the episode honoring John/Sean.

General Hospital News: Breaking! Stuart Damon Dies At 84

It is with great sadness that we have to inform General Hospital fans of the death of legendary actor, Stuart Damon.

Stuart Damon played the iconic role of Alan Quartermaine, son of Edward and Lila Quartermaine. He played the legendary character from 1977-2007, and made appearances throughout the 2000s, last appearing in 2014.

General Hospital news and spoilers reveal Damon has died at the age of 84. News reports confirm that Stuart had been struggling with renal failure for years.

In regard to his role on GH, Damon’s son states,  “It was his favorite place to be. He loved playing Alan and was always so appreciative of that role and that job. It was his passion.”

Stuart Damon was a legend and his legacy will live on through his family, loved ones, General Hospital, and his fans who adored him.

Steve played the family’s “golden boy” as he was favored over troubled brother, AJ Quartermaine.

Jason’s character has changed and evolved over the course of these 29 years, and has made quite a mark on the daytime audience.

This man known as a protector, mob enforcer, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right hand man, Carly’s (Laura Wright) best friend, a father, and lover of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)… he is none other than the legendary badass, Jason Morgan.
