As previously reported, Tristan Rogers, one of Daytime’s most recognized names and faces, has passed away. Immediately, co-stars, colleagues, loved ones and fans began flooding social media with condolences and memories of the beloved actor upon learning the news. The words and photos are beautiful. And one picture in particular marks Tristan’s final scenes. Steve Burton and Tristan Rogers’ last photo together shows them on set at Robert’s home.

Rogers’s last scene aired on July 18, 2025. He shared the set and the screen with two of this generation’s favorites. Steve Burton and Sofia Mattsson were lucky enough to work alongside the legend on his final days as Robert Scorpio. That’s when Robert was reunited once again with his newfound daughter and of course, don’t forget he got to meet his granddaughter Daisy.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the recent news of General Hospital legend, Tristan Roger’s passing. 

Sadly, General Hospital news reports confirm that Tristan Rogers Cancer diagnosis was announced on July 17, 2025. Less than a month after the devastating announcement, the beloved actor has died. He was 79. 

Reportedly, Rogers’s trusted and longtime manager, Meryl Soodak, confirmed Tristan‘s passing. Sources reveal that the General Hospital fan-favorite battled lung cancer as a non-smoker.

Tristan Rogers last appearance on General Hospital was on July 18, 2025, just one day after his diagnosis was announced. Recently, his character Robert Scorpio learned that he had a daughter with his great love, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) came into his life just a short time ago bringing light, love, and a Daisy. On July 18, Tristan got to play the role of dad and grandpa when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) brought Sasha and Daisy to his door.

What a bittersweet time as Robert was able to  enjoy Sasha and Daisy. But sadly, Tristan‘s time has been cut short.
