What is the one thing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) hates the most? Other than grocery store pasta sauce, Sonny hates lies above all. Because with lies there is betray. And where there is betrayals there’s broken trust.

Rarely, Sonny will give someone another chance after they’ve broken his trust. Despite the fact that he stands firmly behind honestly and loyalty, Sonny finds himself giving out second chances to those who have betrayed him. For starters there’s Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Fans still can’t believe that he was so easy on her after he figured out that she kept him captive and let his wife and family think he’s dead.

Moreover, he claimed to be in love with her on top of it all! Like, what?! ????????‍♀️ Additionally, Sonny’s forgiven his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and even Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) after wearing the wire. Plus, there’s more where that came from. Point being that, Sonny may talk a big game, but he does give people second chances. Even third.

Expectedly, GH rumors tease that Sonny doesn’t take too well to Nina withholding information regarding his friend Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Truthfully, I haven’t really given much thought to how this entire mob war fiasco was conceived. Then I recalled Sonny’s precious son and namesake, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). That’s when I realize that if there is anyone to blame for all of this, we can all point the finger at “The Good Son,” Michael.

As GH recaps recall, Michael’s vendetta against his own father came to be after Sonny returned from Nixon Falls. Unexpectedly, a joyous and miraculous reunion turned into something else. The vibe went from feeling like everything was right in the world again, to another living nightmare.

Ironically, Dex fell for Sonny’s stepdaughter and Michael’s sister, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), which lead to her finding out Michael’s plan.

Currently, the Corinthos family is under intense stress. As Michael, Carly, Joss, among others, gather to support Willow, they discuss other issues. According to General Hospital previews, Josslyn’s thoughts on Sonny and Carly’s SEC situation sparks concerns where Carly is concerned. And compared to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Carly’s ethical practices start to look like Mother Theresa is her guiding light. But there’s no mistaken that Carly has ruffled quite a few feathers in her day.

As it seems, hypocrisy runs in the family. Currently, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his sister are both keeping a secret from their mom. In addition to this secret, Michael’s hypocrisy shines as we’ve seen him engage in mob-like activities, all while claiming to take down his father because of his immoral practices. As for Joss, she’s entangled in the mob while looking down on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
