Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has and his son Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) relationship has always been strong until Nik’s selfish decision to fake his own death and let his son believe he was gone forever.

General Hospital recaps recall Spencer’s resentment toward his father after his shocking return from the dead. To add fuel to the fire, Nikolas then proceeded into a relation with Ava Jerome (Maura West) the very woman who chose to literally “save face” instead of testifying against Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for shooting him. Spencer wasn’t too happy with his father for being with her after she betrayed him. Everything after that has lead the Cassadine family where they are today. Every lie and every scheme has brought them to this very moment.

But in Liz’s eyes, Peter is a monster who has taken so much from them already. So, she doesn’t want Peter to have this power over them even after he’s dead.

According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Peter might not be dead. Liz and Finn continue to struggle with the guilty, but are able move forward with their lives. Sooner or later the truth comes out, just as it always does. Meanwhile, General Hospital previews indicate Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) overhears Elizabeth talking about what happened to Peter.

General Hospital Spoilers: Liz Opens Her Heart To Another Man After Losing Franco

Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) recently suffered a great loss. Her husband, and stepfather to her boys was taken unexpectedly when he fell victim to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) psychotic nature.

Liz has been mourning Franco’s (Roger Howarth) loss, first by throwing blame in the wrong direction at Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), then by dealing with the fallout surrounding her son, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), and now keeping herself busy and focused by diving into her work.

Elizabeth has been helping Dr. Finn in his quest to find a cure for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), as he too has fallen victim of Peter. Liz and Finn have been working closely together while trying to undo the damage Peter has done. Liz feels that Peter has already taken away her husband, so she’s going to do all she can to help Finn so that Peter doesn’t take Chase too.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Elizabeth and Finn have made a deeper connection than anticipated, as it continues to grow as they work side by side to save Chase. The situation could get a bit awkward since Finn was in a relationship with Elizabeth’s sister, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig), making Elizabeth an Aunt to Finn and Hayden’s daughter, Violet.

Ava Jerme (Maura West) has announced the unveiling of the portrait of herself, painted by Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). When the cover was pulled off the front of the final product, everyone looked around in for a shock. Ava looked mortified and confused, and the rest of the crown couldn’t believe their eyes. Franco himself looks very surprised at what he saw when the portrait was unveiled. But what is it and who did it? Could Franco himself have put his own twist on Ava’s painting to add an element of surprise? Perhaps Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) found a way to get at the painting and deface Franco’s work?
