General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
Nina Reeve (Cynthia Watros) has let herself down a dark path of lies, and betrayals, all in the name of getting hurt and wanting revenge. The situation with seeking out her long lost daughter had consumed her thoughts and ultimately carries out into taking over her life’s decisions.
Nina’s decisions led her to a situation she never saw coming. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been presumed dead and his family has been in mourning. She was so Hell bent on sticking it to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) for not telling her about Nelle Benson, that she couldn’t see further than the heat of the moment when she stumbles upon Sonny living with Phyllis (Joyce Guy) at The Tan-O.

It’s true that Cyrus and Sasha we friends for a brief moment in time, but that friendship was of convenience on both ends. She wanted drugs, and he had what she wanted. But after her near death experience, Sasha woke up and realized Cyrus brings nothing but bad news. Other than a few minor run ins around Port Charles. Sasha and Cyrus haven’t really had much to do with each other, and now Cyrus is suddenly so obsessed with her that he wants the man who got her pregnant to be brought to him.
General Hospital rumors suggest Renault’s obsession with Sasha will make Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) finally see the light in order to help Peter’s her son and grandchild. Carly has hope that Gladys will see the threat of Cyrus knowing about Sasha and Brando, and keep quiet. All while turning on Cyrus and changing her story about Jason as the prime suspect in Franco’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
Pertinent information has dropped into Carly’s lap and although hesitant to betray Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) trust, she knows that nothing is more important than proving that Jason is innocent.
Carly will use Renault’s sudden obsession with Sasha to intimidate Gladys into dropping her statement and using her silence to protect her son. But if Gladys was capable of snitching on Brando, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and the Corinthos family about Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab), there’s no telling of Gladys will do right by her own family now.

Although fans understand the process, it’s difficult to watch as Nina Reeve (Cynthia Watros) keeps Mike all to herself while she knows damn well that Sonny’s family is grieving his loss back home in PC.
