Nancy Lee Grahn (GH’s Alexis Davis) tweeted that she was happy to see her TV nephew, Nikolas Cassadine, played by Tyler Christopher at General Hospital. There has been talk of having Nikolas return to Port Charles for the revival of The Nurses Ball and for General Hospital’s big 50th anniversary. With Nancy’s tweet we now have more reason to believe that it is more than just a rumor.

We all have been wondering for YEARS who Alexis slept with that helped create the beautiful Samantha McCall Morgan. Recently this has become more of an open topic with actress Nancy Lee Grahn. She has playfully tweeted, naming a few possibilities, most recently John Stamos’ character Blackie Parrish. She also mentioned in an interview that she would like the Father to be a character that is not currently on the canvas. I have a feeling this story will start to develop relatively soon.

Yesterday September 27, 2012, was the last day of Steve Burton’s 21 year long career of playing GH’s Jason (Quartermaine) Morgan. All throughout the day, cast mates posted pictures, Tweeted, and posted Facebook messages showing their love and support for such a dear friend and asset to General Hospital. The entire cast wore black T shirts on Steve’s last day taping on the GH set in honor of Jason. Steve Burton is off to live in Tennessee with his family, something he has always wanted to do, and felt that now is the best time to fulfill that dream. As a fan, and like most of us, I do not know what comes next for Jason Morgan and all the ways he fit into the story lines. My heart breaks for JaSam and the fact that if Jason is written off, Sam will lose her soul mate in some way or another, Sonny, Spinelli, and Carly will lose their best friend. And who knows, that may be good for Liz, out of sight, out of mind, right? haha. Might be just what she needs to get over him. Here are some featured Tweets regarding Steve’s last day.

I mean really, who doesn’t love Mac Scorpio?! Kind-hearted, good looking, funny guy, and a good Father/Uncle! Mac has been around Port Charles for so long… longer than I have been watching GH, but not much. 😉 Mac first arrived in Port Charles in 1991, (I was 9 years old). Mac is well known for his relationship with Felicia Jones played by Kristina Wagner. In more recent years, writers have played with the idea of Mac being romantically involved with PC lawyer, and Mother of 3 beautiful girls, Sam, Kristina, and Molly, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). They have been back and forth with Mac and Alexis and it has never really amounted to anything more than awkward set ups by the Davis Girls. Now, to further complicate things, Felicia is back in town and she and Mac have been talking about getting back together. After the death of Georgie, and now Robin’s “death,” Mac really needs some happiness in his life. Who do you all want to see Mac in a romantic relationship with? Should he go back to his old flame Felicia? Or should he start fresh with Alexis?
Not only do we love Mac Scorpio the character, but we love John York himself. He is such a kind man! If you are on Twitter, you will see that he reaches out to fans effortlessly. He is genuine when tweeting and responding to his fans, supports them just as much as we support him and the show. It is a great thing when an actor truly shows appreciation for the support of the fans by reciprocating respect and enthusiasm. I want to give John York a huge THANK YOU from General Hospital Blog for being an amazing actor, keeping Mac awesome, and for supporting the fans and this blog! The twitter world of General Hospital has been buzzing all night ever since the news came out regarding the recasting of GH character Kristina Davis (Corinthos). Previously played by Lexi Ainsworth, the role has now been filled by Lindsey Morgan. GH fans are on opposite ends of the spectrum, some cursing Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati for any input they may have had to recast this role. Others are happy for whatever is to come and have embraced the changes at General Hospital. According to Daytime Emmy winner, GH Actress Nancy Lee Grahn, Lexi Ainsworth did not want to commit to the role and sign a contract. Check out Nancy’s Tuesday night Tweet!

As a fan of Lexi Ainsworth and her portrayal on Kristina, I don’t really agree with Kristina needing to look older or more mature. This isn’t specific to Kristina either. I just don’t feel that a character needs to be changed simply to age them. However, Lindsey Morgan looks a lot like Ainsworth, just older. I am worried she looks too close in age to Kelly Monaco (Sam). Sam is supposed to be Kristina’s older, wiser, more experienced sister and Lindsey Morgan (to play Kristina) looks more mature than Ainsworth which in my opinion may interfere with the fact that Sam is much older than her little sis. Grahn, Monaco, Ainsworth, and Pullos were perfect together and it’s always hard for me to get accustomed to change, but that’s just me. I do think that Ms. Morgan will end up pulling off a stellar Kristina just like other new actors have pulled off replacing other characters. It was hard for me when Tamara Braun left as Carly and Laura Wright eventually took over, and when Maxie was taken over by Jen. Needless to say these women took charge and made these roles their own and made me love them! Good luck to Lindsey Morgan, the GH and Kristina fans welcome her to the canvas.
