As it turns out, General Hospital fans were not the only ones weirded out by the awkward sexual encounter between a grown man and a young, teenage college student.

Marcus Coloma who portrays the Dark Prince, Nikolas Cassadine, isn’t winning any father of the year awards any time soon. His choices as Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) father have been questionable at best. Among all of his shortcomings as a dad, Nikolas really our did himself with his latest stunt.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas and Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) love scene was just as awkward for the two actor as it was for the GH audience to watch. Just as any talented actor would do, Marcus Coloma and Avery Pohl powered through and got their job done.
General Hospital news and spoilers explain Coloma’s take on the scene and how he mentally prepared. He explained that his approach was cautious, as Avery is nothing like the role she plays as Esme. When sort of justifying Nik’s impulsive decision to sleep with his son’s girlfriend, he reminds viewer of Spence and Esme’s rocky relationship. It’s not like Spencer and Esme actually I’ve each other and in swept Nikolas- the teens are playing one another for personal gain. I’m Spencer’s case, the gain is my alley personal as he is set out to vindicate Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Coloma explains, “Because Esme and Spencer and Nikolas have such intertwined story, we see each other on the set a lot,” Coloma revealed to Soap Opera Digest. “If you don’t have storyline with someone, you may literally never see them. When this situation came up, I fully understood the situation she was in. I let her know that I’m not really, for lack of a better word, creepy, and I reassured her how talented I think she is and was just encouraging her to go for it.” Marcus added, “Avery is so opposite of Esme,” adding, “She is such a completely, sweet, lovely girl.”
Now that the deed has been done, Nikolas will go to extremes to keep this under wraps. GH rumors and spoilers indicate that Nikolas messed up big time and with the absolute wrong person. If he would have slept with anyone else there may have been a chance that their secret would stay between the two of them only, but since he’s played with fire when it come to Esme Prince, there’s no doubt he’s about to her burned.
