General Hospital News: Bryan Craig’s Past Experience Is Nothing Short Of A Soap Opera Storyline Nightmare- Complete With Blind Love, S3X Scandal, and Near Death

General Hospital: Bryan Craig Opens Up About His Soap Opera Style Brush With Death

If he hadn’t opened up about what he went through to Maurice Benard on State of Mind, then you probably won’t believe Bryan Craig’s real-life soap opera experience. Although cliche, love is blind is what they say, and Bryan Craig admits having been blinded by love.

A few back, General Hospital’s Bryan Craig experienced something most of us would only hear of in the National news, or literally on a Soap Opera. General Hospital perhaps?

Love Is Blind

Long story short, Bryan met a girl. He fell in love and moved to Mexico where they shared a home during Covid. Bryan and his ex-girlfriend were quarantined at the time, which added even more dramatic flare to the situation. Admittedly, Bryan noticed numerous red flags.

According to Craig, he had been on her computer and noticed some suspicious messages. He saw messages from older men asking his ex when she was free to take trips, along with compromising photos of her with various men. When he confronted her, she turned the tables on him and asked why he was looking around where he shouldn’t be. Craig described her as a narcissist, but that’s only a fraction of what was truly going on.

She Was An Escort For The Mexican Cartel!

Ultimately, Bryan discovered that she was a sex worker for a very dangerous Mexican cartel. Does it sound like a Soap Opera yet? Just wait…

Things took a very dark turn as Bryan booked a trip for the two of them to Tulum to celebrate her birthday. That’s when his relationship seemed like it was taken straight out of a General Hospital storyline. Bryan invited some friends to celebrate with them, booked a flight, and headed to their destination. Then, Bryan’s ex-girlfriend leaned over to him and said that once the plane lands, they will go their separate ways, and in separate cabs, and to never contact her again. At this point Bryan figured that was a joke, but soon after, sadness and fear loomed over him. She wasn’t kidding.

Heartbroken And In Real Danger

Heartbroken and confused, Bryan leaves on his friends and lots of alcohol to cope with what had just happened. Bryan told Maurice that he was “three sheets to the wind” when he spotted her at the same party. She walked into the house with another guy, and Bryan was crushed.

Soon after, the former GH star realized that heartbreak was the least of his worries. Suddenly, he found himself in a life or death situation when he was jumped by various men who happened to belong to the Mexican cartel. He said they kicked the sh!t out of him, pointed their rifles at him, and lifted him over their heads, “like a human sacrifice.” He was left there alone, beaten and afraid.

Eventually, he made it back to the hotel and met up with his friends before leaving Mexico. He never returned to the home they shared together, and actually stayed with his parents for a while.

You can watch General Hospital’s Bryan Craig tell his story on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind.
