Annie Wersching joined the cast of General Hospital in 2007 as Amelia Joffe. General Hospital recaps recall Amelia was in Port Charles to get revenge on Sam McCall (Kell Monaco). During her time in PC, Amelia was briefly romantically involved with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Moreover, star was known for roles in the series, 24, The Vampire Diaries, Timeless, The Rookie, and Star Trek, and more.

Sadly, General Hospital news reports confirm Annie Wersching, former GH star dies if cancer on January 29th. She left behind a husband and two children, among other family and loved ones. Her husband, actor, Stephen Full, released a statement to Deadline. “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today,” he said. “But she left us the tools to fill it and found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.

“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street,” he continued, “She would yell “Bye!” until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye, my Buddie. ‘I love you, little family…’”
