Last week we were informed that ABC would be renewing the 49 year old soap opera General Hospital and would cancel the OLTL replacement show, The Revolution. As a soap fan I want to say that I am extremely grateful, excited, and optimistic. However, there are many people that claim to be General Hospital fans, and join Facebook pages and other ‘Save Our Soap’ type groups, yet they do nothing but complain about the show! Expressing their disgust on Twitter, Facebook, and other forums, these “fans” are hypocrites. What General Hospital needs right now is 100% loyalty and support from the FANS. REAL fans, not band wagon fans that only support the show when their favorite couple is together or when their favorite character has the lead. Of course there are things about the show that really get to me in a negative way. But I am wise enough to realize that I am not in control, and there is a much larger audience out there than myself. If I am not that interested in a story line, I focus on all the others that I do. If my favorite character isn’t front and center, I will wait it out until they are. The thing that would effect me the most would be my favorite couple getting the big ax. Right now things are looking gloomy for my favorite super couple JaSam (Jason Morgan and Sam McCall). Although they are being written in a way that is not to my preference, it doesn’t mean I am going to bash the show or quit watching. When it comes twists and turns and obstacles do I think enough is enough at times? Absolutely. I am at that point with JaSam. Jason should just be the Father, and Jason and Sam should be having this baby happily. (In my opinion of course). Throwing John McBain into the mix is fine with me. SO far I think Sam has not cheated on Jason as other fans are stating. She is simply confiding in someone when she doesn’t know how to handle the situation. Does McBain’s interference get me irritated enough to give up on JaSam? Nope. Just like the other aspects of GH that I may not be the fondest of will not make me give up on GH. As a long time General Hospital fan, I am proud to be a REAL fan all the time. So please, if you want to ‘Save Our Soaps’ quit tweeting all the negativity and show your support like a true fan should.
Happy Birthday to James Franco! Thank you for taking and interest and being a part of the legendary soap opera, General Hospital. It was a pleasuring seeing you on my screen. I thought Franco was intense, mysterious, and kept me coming back for more. Thanks again for your GH support! Happy Birthday!

For the past few weeks, Lulu and Dante had been making it pretty clear that they think Delores Padilla’s husband, Eddie is responsible for the attacks on the Vaughn’s girls. Dante and Ronnie found evidence that points to him. But was that evidence planted? I really think it’s Ronnie Domestico! That guy has always been mixed up into some kind of shady business here and there and I think he is finally about to get caught. From falsifying evidence to keeping secrets about Franco, I think Ronnie will finally get what is coming to him. And who better to uncover the truth than his long time partner Dante? As of Friday’s episode 4/20/12, Lulu confided in Luke and expressed her thoughts about who she thinks is guilty. She told Luke she believes Ronnie, Dante’s long time friend and police partner is the real attacker. How will she break this news to Dante?
How would you feel if Jagger came back? HOTNESS! I know I would love to see this happen. Jagger is where it all began for me. It all started when I was about 11 years old and my Mom and Sister watched GH everyday. My (older) sister was in LOVE with Jagger. We were all hooked. My favorite scenes were with Jagger Cates, Karen Wexler, and Jason Quartermaine (Morgan) on the island! Throw Brenda and Robin in the mix and it GH became my soap addiction. Form 1992-1995 Antonio Sabato Jr. graced Port Charles with his presence as Jagger Cates and in 2008 he made a brief return in the Soapnet GH spinoff, General Hospital: Night Shift. It was nice to have him in PC once again and it would be REALLY nice if they could make this happen for us again. Throught the years the Calvin Klein underwear model has been in many well known productions such as Melrose Place, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Ally McBeal, and more. If you would love to see Antonio back on GH as Jagger then for the love of General Hospital do what the man asks and Retweet his tweet to Frank Valentini! Check it out below!
So now that we have all seen Sam open the DNA results in front of John McBain, and it showed that Franco was the baby’s Father, what will happen next? I am disappointed in this outcome but am taking it with a grain of salt because this is GH we are talking about here and well, Heather Webber is tangled up in this mess! Anything is possible and hopefully the results have been tampered with or there is some other reason that Franco is falsely named the Father instead of Jason. Sam will tell Jason the truth starting today and although I am looking forward to JaSam scenes, I am not to thrilled about the content of it all. I have been a JaSam fan from the beginning and wish for them to stay together. I understand that no soap couple has a happily ever after but some should, right? JaSam is perfect for that. I love their bond, I love their chemistry, the humor, the love and tears, it’s all so great… and of course the FACT that they are both so damn good looking! They make a great TV couple and I hope it stays that way. Let’s all keep tuning in and showing our JaSam/GH support!
The twitter world of General Hospital has been buzzing all night ever since the news came out regarding the recasting of GH character Kristina Davis (Corinthos). Previously played by Lexi Ainsworth, the role has now been filled by Lindsey Morgan. GH fans are on opposite ends of the spectrum, some cursing Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati for any input they may have had to recast this role. Others are happy for whatever is to come and have embraced the changes at General Hospital. According to Daytime Emmy winner, GH Actress Nancy Lee Grahn, Lexi Ainsworth did not want to commit to the role and sign a contract. Check out Nancy’s Tuesday night Tweet!
Now that I have had time to process the casting news, I have been able to rationalize and although I am truly disappointed in the fact that Lexi Ainsworth will not be entertaining us as Kristina on GH, it is unfair to not give the new actress a chance. I will try to stay positive because I know supporting General Hospital is imperative to it’s survival. I will always be a GH fan and therefore I would rather have aspects of the show that I am unhappy with than not have the show at all. That being said, I hope all of us GH fans can find it in our hearts to accept the things we are not 100% behind for the sake of the show in it’s entirety. I want to thank @HaleyJean45 for helping me put things into perspective. We as fans all need to stick together no matter what decisions are made, even if that means our favorite couple calls it quits or our favorite character becomes something they never were. I wish the best of luck to Lexi Ainsworth in her future endeavors and to Lindsey Morgan on her new role as Kristina Davis Corinthos.
As a fan of Lexi Ainsworth and her portrayal on Kristina, I don’t really agree with Kristina needing to look older or more mature. This isn’t specific to Kristina either. I just don’t feel that a character needs to be changed simply to age them. However, Lindsey Morgan looks a lot like Ainsworth, just older. I am worried she looks too close in age to Kelly Monaco (Sam). Sam is supposed to be Kristina’s older, wiser, more experienced sister and Lindsey Morgan (to play Kristina) looks more mature than Ainsworth which in my opinion may interfere with the fact that Sam is much older than her little sis. Grahn, Monaco, Ainsworth, and Pullos were perfect together and it’s always hard for me to get accustomed to change, but that’s just me. I do think that Ms. Morgan will end up pulling off a stellar Kristina just like other new actors have pulled off replacing other characters. It was hard for me when Tamara Braun left as Carly and Laura Wright eventually took over, and when Maxie was taken over by Jen. Needless to say these women took charge and made these roles their own and made me love them! Good luck to Lindsey Morgan, the GH and Kristina fans welcome her to the canvas.
