General Hospital News and Spoilers: Josh Kelly Exits General Hospital

Josh Kelly exits GH Cody Bell leaving Port Charles
Josh Kelly exits General Hospital

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Sasha Gilmore are headed for a new adventure. Thanks to Lucy, Cody revealed his true feelings. It may have sounded a bit harsh, but he knew what he wanted, and that was to quit. Now that Cody and Sasha are free of Deception, what will they do next?

General Hospital recaps highlight Sasha’s shocking exit from Deception. She has officially resigned from being the cosmetic company’s spokeswoman. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) were left high and dry without the Face of Deception.

Evidently, Maxie can’t help but blame Lucy for this mess. Ms. Coe’s desperate attempt to keep from losing the photo shoot disrespected Sasha. Despite not taking offense to the recent criticism, Sasha remained comfortable with bowing out gracefully.

Moreover, Cody set the stage for the big news. It was he who quit first in his attempt to stand up for Sasha. Shortly after his admission to basically hating his job, Sasha threw in the towel too. These two suddenly have the freedom to explore their true passions and let that guide the way.

Could Cody or Sasha’s new venture involve relocating?

Josh Kelly Exits… Is Cody Leaving GH?

General Hospital news and spoilers confirm that Josh Kelly exits General Hospital. Recently, Josh joined co-stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson on their podcast called Daily Drama. The three GH stars discussed various topics which then focused on Kelly’s upcoming movie. “I’m doing a movie. It’s pretty cool,” admitted Kelly. “I’m doing a revenge pic called The Workout Video.”

According to GH news reports, Kelly’s GH exit is only temporary. Reports suggest that his absence will be short term despite no reports on a specific duration.

Thankfully, Josh and his character Cody Bell won’t be gone for too long!

Battle for Sonya Eddy’s Daytime Emmy
The battle for Sonya Eddy’s Daytime Emmy

There were bittersweet moments that took place during the 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Loss plagued the community after several unexpected deaths hit close to home. Previously, GH news reports confirm that the Soap Opera’s long time actress Sonya Eddy died at the age of 55. The Emmy-winning actress played Epiphany Johnson, GH’s Head Nurse, for 16 years.

On December 15th, the Daytime Emmy Awards showcased talent across the Daytime television communities. That’s when Eddy was honored for her work on ABC’s General Hospital upon receiving a posthumous award for Best Supporting Actress In A Drama Series. According to GH news reports, a battle for Sonya Eddy’s Daytime Emmy award has made headlines.

Reportedly, Sonya’s friend and producing partner Tyler Ford accepted the award on her behalf. According to news outlet TMZ, Sonya’s brother Robbie Eddy spoke out regarding his sister’s posthumous Emmy win. He mentioned that the family wasn’t notified that she’d be receiving the honor. Now allegedly, Tyler Ford has denied Eddy’s family upon their request for the award.

GH news reports reveal that Sonya’s family has no plans to take legal action against the Award Academy or Tyler Ford at this time. Moreover, GH rumors claim that Sonya was estranged from some family members at the time of her death. Hopefully the issue is resolved and the drama subsides as Sonya is remembered.

The Return of the OLTL Trio to GH!

It’s almost that time everyone! On May 10th, 2013 Daytime Emmy Nominee, Kristen Alderson, along with Roger Howarth, and Michael Easton will return to General Hospital under new identities. Are you excited to see how the writers are going to rise to this challenge? I am happy to see these three back on GH and look forward to watching their stories unfold.

TV Guide Interviews GH’s Anthony Geary

Anthony Geary (GH’s Luke Spencer) sat down for an interview with TV Guide to talk about his Emmy nomination, Guza, Jake’s death,  his “four way romance,” as TV Guide calls it, and gushes about Jonathan Jackson. Despite all the Guza ‘hate’ generated from GH fans everywhere, Geary talks about how he gave him his best material.  Luke has a lot going on right now with three woman in the picture. Luke is currently playing opposite Anna (Finola Hughes), Tracy (Jane Elliot), and Heather (Robin Mattson). And thanks to Frank Valentini, we will be seeing a lot more of the truly mischievous Luke at his finest. I was so pleased to come across this interview this morning I would like to share it with all of you. Its very nice to see Luke in the spotlight again, and Anthony Geary is pleased as well.
