Spencer was back from boarding school and living at Wyndemere, distance separated father and son.

Nikolas had other problems in his life but they all stemmed from the same issue. It was a vicious cycle back when Spencer and Esme both had it out for Nikolas and Ava. As a result, Spencer’s resentment towards his dad and step mom helped fuel Esme’s agenda. Additionally, Spencer unknowingly fed into Esme’s trap which helped lead Ava and Nikolas astray from each other. It was the straw the broke the camel’s back for Spencer.

Once Esme seduced Nikolas and she became pregnant, time eventually did its job. It was only a matter of time that Spencer found out about how his father Nikolas slept with Esme. The once complete self-centered young Cassadine now displays selflessness when it comes to the newest Cassadine, his baby brother Ace. But Spencer’s recent behavior sparks debate. Not only does Spencer’s fixation with Ace have conflicting opinions and feelings for those close to him, but the GH fans are torn as well.

Despite the fact that Spencer is a product of abandonment on some level, his obsession with ensuring his brother has close family seems overboard to some. While it’s understandable to want to ensure your baby brother has a safe and loving home, it’s another to want to completely take over. Ace has a loving and capable mother. Thus far she hasn’t shown any signs of her old self coming through the cracks. However, this is Port Charles. Do we really believe that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) remains the pillar of motherhood from here on out? Absolutely not.

I don’t know about you, but to me it looks like Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is going to explode. Her calm demeanor, even when exhausted and flustered, makes me think that this is the calm before the storm.

Is Esme faking? At this point I’d say that she is most likely not faking her amnesia. However, something tells me that the old Esme is still in there somewhere. Currrently, the young mother is doing her best to care for her son Ace (Jay and Joey Clay), and to live up to expectations. So far so good, as the Spencer and Cassadine families are impressed by Esme’s 180.°

Meanwhile, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) continues to build his relationship with long awaited love, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Their weekend getaway to New York was everything and more. Additionally, their bond is stronger because of it. But is it strong enough to withstand the force that tore them apart the first time?
