The ABC soap vet and All My Children alum, Rebecca Budig, joined the cast of General Hospital back in March of this year. She was brought on as her character was part of the Jason Morgan/Jake Doe story line. As of right now, in Port Charles, Hayden Barnes, played by Budig, holds the key to Jason’s true identity.
Sure, other people are aware that Jake Doe (Billy Miller) is actually Jason. Those people include, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). Well since Nikolas is the original person to harbor this secret and let Liz in on it because she is in love with Jake/Jason, and since Nik is now acting like a full blown Cassadine, there’s no chance of him or Liz coming clean. Nikolas told Lucky about this so that Lucky could have peace of mind if he decided to leave town. Knowing that Jason Morgan was caring for his children, Lucky felt it was right for him to leave and let Liz be happy. Therefore, Lucky has skipped town, and won’t be back to tell for the foreseeable future. Laura Spencer overheard a conversation Nikolas was having that she obviously was never meant to hear. Although she doesn’t agree with what Nikolas and Liz are doing, she feels that it isn’t her place to reveal the truth and expose their lies.
This leaves Hayden Barnes. Hayden is the woman that Nikolas out a hit out on in order to keep her quiet. Recently, Patrick has been receiving reports of her condition, that she is waking up.
General Hospital spoilers have revealed that Rebecca Budig has already started taping for GH, and her character will return this Fall. According to Soap Opera Digest, Budig has signed a contract with General Hospital and is here to stay… well at least she’s here until her contract is up.
General Hospital Blog will keep fans updated on any news related to Rebecca’s status with GH.

There have been multiple breaking news stories regarding the cast and crew of General Hospital this past week. Some news disappointing, some see them as it being a good time for a change. However, this most recent GH breaking news is one that should make the majority of General Hospital fans extremely happy.
One of our personal favorites on General Hospital, spoilers have just revealed that actress, Lexi Ainsworth will be returning to General Hospital to reprise her role as Kristina Corinthos Davis. The daughter of Alexis and Sonny, sister of Sam Morgan and Molly, Kristina has been on and off the canvas for years.
Lexi Ainsworth joined the cast of General Hospital in 2009, and was replaced by Lindsey Morgan in 2012. It was rumored that the executives over at GH wanted a more mature looking young woman for the role. GH received a lot of backlash when Ainsworth exited the daytime drama, as fans were unhappy with her departure,
Soap Opera Digest has conformed the return of Lexi as Kristina and it has been said that she is expected to make her first air date in late August to early September.
General Hospital Blog is ecstatic to welcome Lexi back to General Hospital, as her performance as Kristina was absolutely STELLAR.
The Davis Girls are back! Help celebrate with us! Share this post and let your fellow GH friends know the good news!
Yesterday, General Hospital Blog shared a rumor that had been flying around, claiming that Michael Easton was leaving General Hospital. As it turns out, that rumor has become true.
Michael Easton joined GH after the fallout of our two beloved ABC soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live. He first came to Port Charles as John McBain, his character’s name from Llanview on OLTL. Due to legal issues between Prospect Park and ABC, ABC was forced to change the OLTL name. With some clever writing, Michael Easton soon became Dr. Silas Clay, with ties to the show, Port Charles.
This morning, Daytime Confidential has confirmed that Michael Easton has ended his character as Dr. Silas Clay on General Hospital.
How do you feel about this breaking news? GH Blog is uncertain if Michael Easton has decided to walk away from GH or if the actor was let go. We will keep you updated with any information related to this story.
General Hospital has definitely got some strong willed, opinionated, feisty, women, running around Port Charles. These are the women who won’t take sh*t from anyone, who stand their ground, fight for what they feel is right, fight for their man, and they don’t let anyone walk all over them.
Laura Wright and Kirsten storms play two women that fit this description perfectly. Carly and Maxie and beautiful, strong, and they aren’t going to let anyone mess with them or the ones they love.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Carly and Maxie will be having scenes together in the near future. Laura and Kirsten exchanged messages on Twitter, expressing their excitement to be working together.
We can’t wait to see what Maxie Jones and Carly Corinthos Jacks have to say to one another. Will they play nice, or will these two gals butt heads?
It’s not unlike the soap world to SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome) the little ones on the show from time to time. We haven’t seen much of the kids of Port Charles lately, including the fan favorite, Spencer Cassadine.
Today, in a comment via Twitter, the actor, Nicolas Bechtel tweeted “When one door closes another one opens.”
It’s uncertain whether or not the young actor was speaking of himself as in working at GH, another aspect of his life, or regarding something else entirely. Some fans have expressed that Nicolas may have tweeted that regarding the recent General Hospital news about Head Writer, Ron Carlivati being replaced.
It seems unlikely that there would be a need to write Spencer Cassadine off the show, or age him drastically enough to have to change the actor who plays the part. We sure hope that Nicolas was referring to another situation, and not his current status with General Hospital.
Let us know what you think. Do you think they are aging Spencer Cassadine and are ready to recast the role?
Check out Nicolas Bechtel’s tweet below!

Rumors have been spreading like wild fire in the last week regarding General Hospital’s Head Writer, Ron Carlivati. The last few weeks, GH ratings have been low, but in the most recent week, ratings again began to rise. It truly is a roller coaster, the way these ratings go out of control. You know what they say, “you can’t please them all.” That’s quite accurate when it comes to General Hospital fans. No matter what is going on on the forefront, there will always be a group of fans who would rather complain and moan and groan, than to support the show that they choose to love. That being said, all the latest talk about the writing on GH brought about rumors that Carlivati was about to be let go.
General Hospital spoilers reveal breaking news, that in fact GH Head Writer, Ron Calivati has been let go and will be replace by two co-headwriters, Shelley Altman and Jean Passanante. According to Soaps in Depth, these changes will take place August 10th, 2015.
Here are some words from the executives: “We are pleased to welcome back two esteemed writers to our GH family,” said Vicki Dummer, Executive VP current series programming, regarding the announcement. “Shelley and Jean’s combined talents and experiences promise to continue the show’s legacy of compelling storytelling that will resonate with our impassioned viewers. We’re delighted with what they have in store for the show as they continue honoring the rich, diverse environs of Port Charles.”
GH social media, including Twitter, Facebook, fan groups, etc., will be buzzing after the confirmation of Carlivati’s exit. Please share this post in hope that we spread the truth, and facts, and less of the rumors and hearsay.
It’s been a long time coming, but today on GH, Maxie meets Nathan’s Mom. Well, aunt, but as Liesl Obrecht is actually his mother, Madeline raised him.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that today’s scenes are must-see.
Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) warns fans via Twitter, “you don’t wanna miss it.”
What will these two feisty ladies think of one another? They do have one thing in common, their love for Nathan, but will that be enough for these two to get along?
Watch what happens between Maxie and Madeline on today’s General Hospital.
Tomorrow on #GH Maxie meets Nathan's Mom…or Aunt…well she meets @TheDonnaMills & you don't want to miss it ?

Dancing with the Stars is one of the most talked about and watched show on television. A few of our very own General Hospital stars have made their way to the ballroom, showing fans what they are made of, outside of the set of General Hospital.
Kelly Monaco (Samantha Morgan) was the first every DWTS Champion, and the first of our GH cast members to have competed on the show. Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks/Jax) and Antonio Sabato Jr. (Jagger Cates) also were contestants on ABC’s DWTS.
After posts on Instagram from GH alum, Vanessa Marcil (Brenda Barrett), General Hospital rumors started flying, claiming that she will be on the next season of DWTS. Marcil posted a photo of professional dancer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy with a mystery woman, captioned, “uh oh who’s this?” She also posted a photo of herself and Maksim, together, with her face visible.
Is Vanessa trying to give fans a hint? Will she be the next General Hospital star to hit the ballroom? General Hospital Blog will keep you updated on the status of Vanessa and Dancing with the Stars.
There is a highly likely chance that GH favorite Bradford Anderson is coming back to General Hospital as the tech savvy, good hearted, hilarious, Damian Spinelli. Anderson was most recently on GH as Spinelli when he returned to Port Charles from Portland. Spinelli brought his daughter Georgie for a visit with her mom, Maxie. He was in Port Charles for the duration of the annual Nurses Ball, and stayed with enough time to profess his lvoe for Maxie, all while discovering that Ellie is the one he wants to be with.
General Hospital rumors have been flying that Bradford Anderson will making another appearance in the new future to entangle his character Spinelli in the discovery of Jason Morgan’s identity.
Jason and Spinelli were best friends. Sort of an odd couple, Jason was the tough guy, muscle man, mob enforcer, while Spinelli was his computer wing man. Spinelli did all the investigating for the mob, including computer hacking to get one leg up from their enemies, to recover and sabotage camera footage, etc. These two had a friendship like no other and they truly admired one another. Spinelli still mourns the loss of his BFF Jason. GH rumors claim that Spinelli will come back to Port Charles and aid in the discovery of Jason Morgan. Just as when Spinelli met Jake Doe for the first time, he had an deep rooted feeling that Jake could be Jason. Perhaps on his second return home, Spinelli will get closer to proving his instinct to be right, and uncover the story we have all been waiting for- the BIG Jason Morgan reveal.
What do you think? Will Jason’s BFF uncover the truth? Perhaps with his business partner, Fair Samantha, who also happens to be Jason’s wife, Jackal P.I. may just have a new case!
The revelation of the real Jason Morgan has become so over due that fans are well past the point of waiting patiently. At every turn of events, there is an opportunity for Jake to be revealed as Jason Morgan, yet those opportunities never materialize. More and more people now know that Jake Doe is actually Jason, and soon the secret will unravel.
Port Charles got a huge surprise last week when Elizabeth Webber’s son, Jake turned out to be alive. His adoptive father, Lucky brought him home. Jake had been in Helena’s custody since the accident caused by Luke. While Lucky was in town, he had a heart to heart with his brother Nikolas, which turned into another stepping stone to Jason’s true identity. Nik told Lucky that he and Liz are well aware that Jake is actually Jason. As of now, Lucky has decided not to tell Jake who he really is.
All this time fans have been tossing around ideas and theories of who could discover Jake is Jason. Elizabeth already knows and is keeping him all to herself. Fans have said Sam should figure it out since she is his wife, Sonny because he is his best friend along with Spinelli, Carly, etc. However, now there is someone else in the mix. Little Jake Webber may hold the key to Jake’s true identity. General Hospital spoilers have revealed that when meeting little Jake, Jake Doe had a flashback of playing with cars. Being around Liz’s son jarred a memory. Could little Jake be the one that brings Jake out of his amnesia? It would be quite ironic for Elizabeth, if the resurrection of her son whom she has longed to see again, was actually the demise of her relationship with his father, Jason Morgan.
We want to know what the fans think. How do you think this story will unfold?
