Is Avery Pohl leaving General Hospital? -GH Representative Confirms Avery Pohl’s GH Exit
A shocking new development has reached social media outlets and major changes have hit Port Charles. Esme Prince and Spencer Cassadine are presumed dead, which means both Pohl and Chavez are off the canvas.
GH fans are conflicted as some want Esme gone because she wreaks havoc on some fan-favorite characters. On the other hand many GH fans don’t want to see her go. For me, Esme is incredible. Avery Pohl is an excellent actress and shines in every scene.
The recent GH news surrounding my favorite little villainess caught GH fans off guard. First, something doesn’t seem right, and the math just ain’t mathing. Meaning, this doesn’t add up. First, Avery Kristen Pohl is a phenomenal actress. Second, she initially signed a 1 year contact in August of 2021. And in June of 2022, Pohl signed on with the Soap Opera for 3 years.
So, what gives? She plays a villain and does exactly what’s she’s supposed to do, and that’s make people hate her. Often times we don’t just hate a villain, but we LOVE to hate them. Or, we hate what they do but not who they are. That’s exactly where I stand with Esme Prince.
Is Avery Pohl Leaving General Hospital?
According to GH comings and goings, Spencer and Esme are presumed dead. Nicholas Chavez is off filming a Nextflix series but is said to return after a few months. That left fans wondering about Esme’s fate. According to Soap Opera Digest, a GH spokesperson confirms Avery Pohl’s GH exit. Although the timing doesn’t add up with her 3 year contract, the GH Representative confirms that Pohl is out as Esme Prince.
Confirmed! Steve Burton returns to General Hospital next week! Although his on-screen return date is still TBA, Steve Burton reports back to Prospect Studios the week of February 5th, 2024.
Reflecting on Sonny and Dex’s conversation, Sonny believes the attack was an inside operation. Only someone who has spent a significant amount of time learning the landscape could pull off an ambush like that. Additionally, the individual would need to exhibit strong, survival skills, and more hell of a shot.
Jason Morgan Returns As Sonny’s Enemy
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Jason Morgan fits the bill as a skilled shooter who also happens to know the layout of Sonny’s tropical safe house. True, he possesses those qualities and then some. But the thing is that Jason Morgan would never harm Sonny or his family in a million years. However, he would if he was brainwashed. That’s why most recently fans toss around wild speculations about the shooter’s identity.
Coincidentally, (or not), Steve Burton disclosed that he’s back at Prospect Studios the week of February 5th. I don’t know about ya all, but to me that sounds like perfect timing for the mystery shooter storyline.
Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) island as meant to be a safe place to retreat when threats a rise in Port Charles. Now it seems like nowhere is safe for the mobster and his family.
General Hospital recaps highlight Sonny and Dex’s analysis on the recent attack. That’s when Sonny put the pieces together to come to a shocking observation. The shooter was well prepared as if he knows the place from the inside out. In the past, Jason helped Sonny at times like these. His insight was always spot on, and Sonny always could depend on Jason. Thankfully, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) seems to have what it takes to fill Jason’s shoes in the business.
An Inside Job Threatens Sonny and His Family- Can Dex and Sonny Identify the Shooter?
Shocking GH spoilers and rumors suggest the unthinkable! After Sonny and Dex went over the event they came to a realization. its quite possible that latest attack was an inside job, but who would betray Sonny like that? Recent GH news reports confirm that Steve Burton reveals that he’s back filming at Prospect Studios. Jason will return working weeks, which fans find to be very convenient timing. Could Jason Morgan return as Sonny’s enemy instead of his long lost best friend?
Is there a specific character in daytime television that you’ve watched grow up into adulthood? Often times, the casting directors and writing team has other ideas that lead children’s roles into abrupt adolescence or even beyond.
It’s not uncommon to see a child blossom into a legacy character, carrying the family name. Great examples are the Quartermaine, Corinthos, Spencer families and the younger generations as that take over the spotlight. However, more often than not a child actor is SORASed, which means, Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome. One day the kid is five, then BAM, the next day the child has a new face and is 15 years older than that day prior. That’s just how it goes in Soaps.
Daytime Cuts Younger Actor Category From Emmys
When it comes to recognition child actors are also eligible to submit their Emmy reels. But recent news states that younger performers well no longer have the chance to win outstanding younger performer in a drama series. The Daytime Emmys have decided to cut the category. Instead, actors who wish to enter should submit their work into the Leading, Supporting, or Guest categories.
General Hospital news and spoilers report that GH’s Eden McCoy is the last to receive this award. She took home the winning Secember 15th, 2023z As time moves toward the 51st annual daytime Emmy awards, GH news reports confirm that the updated format takes effect immediately.

It’s possible that Esme goes missing temporarily but Pohl’s GH contract says that there won’t be a permanent exit. The actress signed a 3 year contract in June of 2022. So it looks like Esme is here to stay for a while!
Spencer Cassadine and Trina Robinson can’t catch a break when it comes to their romance. No matter what they explore, some time of catastrophe comes crashing in on them. Obviously, Paris is no different.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Spencer and Trina play by Esme’s rules. She’s calling the shots. GH rumors suggest that she has conditions. Will Esme demand that Spencer go off on an adventure to find Ace in exchange for Trina’s freedom? Or worse, her life?!
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has morphed into somewhat of a people pleaser. It hasn’t gone as far as having lost her edge, because that girl can still cut an enemy down to size. But she’s seemingly a bit softer lately, even prior to Bobbie’s death.
GH recaps recall Carly getting smitten with the mystery man at Kelly’s. Soon after she discovered his true identity. But until then Carly was going out of her way to cater to his needs. Some call it excellent customer service, which it was, but Carly was never know to win the “Most likely to work in hospitality” mock election in High School. She’s always been straight to the point and doesn’t mess around let alone cater to a stranger’s needs. Did Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) charm take hold of Carly? And will he do it again?
